06/02/21 working 100% on win 10. Note: (subjective opinion) this game is somewhat harder than king of dragon pass. you can't save scumming in six ages lol.

Pretty much this game... from every perspective... such as rediculous system requirements for no reason at all (Win 10 64 bit etc) down to dumping down on everything that made the game good such as town building/resource gathering sim... just ignore this and go for the original, the King of Dragon Pass.
I was Interested in the play style of this game but decided to ignore it since it ridiculously asked for windows 10. Even windows XP, 32 bits is more than enough to play this kind of game. There are too many developers nowadays illogically designed their games for 64 bits and higher operating systems, even though spec-wise those game do not require such operating systems. This syndrome is similar to developers giving out ridiculous excuses for bug-prone single-game slot, lousy keyboard mapping, etc
If you want to play this style of game, simply go play King of Dragon Pass. It's the same style, same developers, and same game world. The only difference is it'll run on older OS's. Six Ages is a spiritual successor/follow up to that game, so I guess you'll simply miss out on whatever changes/restructuring/simplifications they've made since KoDP came out It sucks they made it Win10 only especially since they had an iOS release first and then made everyone wait until October for a PC release. And they've answered really vaguely that the specifics are "very long, very technical, very complicated" as to why its Win10 only which makes it even worse.
You have reason, in addition, the requirements are meaningless, DirectX 9... this directx works in XP, 32 bits, at least if the minimun is Windows 7 ok... but it doesn't make sense
Anyway to play this on windows 7? Like is there anything I can do? and don't tell me to get windows 10 please lol. My good pc broke, and I'm stuck with a crappy one. It does not like running windows 10.
yeah it sucks it's only windows 10. I wish there was a way to get around that. It's weird when I start the game I get a message saying Not supported, need to be using windows 10. I click out of it, then the game screen shows up for a few seconds, then goes away...
It would be a really dumb design decision to support only Windows 10, though. Don't forget that there are still people who use Windows XP, mostly because they don't trust Windows 8, can't purchase Windows 7 and can't run Windows 10. I myself run Windows 7 and I will continue to use Windows 7 until this laptop breaks down. I've also been looking for a new computer for sale that runs on Windows 7 instead Windows 10, but it's impossible to find something like that now. Windows 7 is the best Windows since Windows 98SE, despite Windows 98SE having such a big security issue.
No, it really wouldn't be. All the people running on XP~Windows 8 (including myself) are expected to either deal with any inconsistancies (if it even supports x32 architecture, which most programs don't nowadays because technology has left that in the past, since it's ~two decades surpassed by x64 at this point) or upgrade (including hardware as necessary) to what is supported. Just because there are a handful of holdouts (compared to the rest of the userbase) doesn't mean they should cater to us not upgrading for their minimum recommendations. Any computer that runs Windows 10 will run Windows 7, btw; you don't seem well educated on how computers work in that regard. You just need to source a Windows 7 installation, either a digital copy or a physical install disk.

I think the crack is broken or something. Probably a missing exe since I dont think it recognizes any difference. I opened it without the crack and same blank menu. Nice contribution to the scene Tinyiso
this just looks like a repack to me, with a modified steam dll. i simply copied that over and it runs without a prob. you may have a write permission issue, so maybe try running as admin.
I always have admin permission so im not sure that's the problem. I also extracted the files directly from the bin file and then placing the 'crack' after it but still same blank thing weird
i can not for the love of me delete the folder, it says something is running so i cant delete it but nothing is running i have tried to restart my computer and still
