thank you SOO much after combining Secret83 and your instruction, I finally got it running further then loading screen for further users: you need both here available versions of grandia 2 then you install both, take everything out of GRANDIA II HD Remaster and put it into Grandia II Anniversary Editions afterwards start grandia2 with admin rights HAVE FUN
Ok. Now I found out how to make this verison work. You need the earlier version. And then you need to copy this download and paste in the earlier version
I get Slow downs in battle, everything is fine, just is battles the game lock the framerate to 30 and it feels like slow motion, is their a fix for that?
that's because you didn't add ADMIN rights when playing Grandia 2.exe or through launcher. Windows 10 is what the problem is. If you don't give the rights the games crashes a lot or can't stay full screen.. getting out of focus. But Windows 10 with Admin rights for both, grandia 2.exe and launcher.exe all problems will be gone. They added that already in this HD remaster version because each time you run it already asks you if it's ok to Run
I played Grandia 2 on PC when it was released..it was on 2 CDs :) It was one of my first JRPGs I finished..it was so emotional,great battles,music,story..Melfice,Mareg,so much memories..still the best for me is Grandia 3,which is sadly still only on PS2,but I had a pleasure to play it..I finished Grandia 1,2,3 and every of them is worth a play.I didnt play only Grandia Xtreme,which looks most familiar to Grandia 2.
i prefer the first Grandia game compared to the second one story wise and content, sure grandia 2 have more thing to do but the story kinda bland and not exciting like the first game. i hope the got brave vencer musashi(ps one) ported to pc with HD
That's because it's a Windows 10 issue. Both Grandia 2 exes needs Admin rights. You rigth click on properties on launcher and the exe of Grandia 2 if you don't play this remaster version. That's why the game crashed because Windows 10 is annoying as fuck. When you use admin rights all crashes will be gone. I played and played till I got sick of it
I haven't played enough to say with certainty that every issue has been fixed. I played a couple of hours and experienced no slowdowns, de syncs nor lag or any crashes thus far

Hmmm the screenshot says "anniversary edition"... I assume it's a mistake. But what I don't understand it that IGG uploaded two separate games? I thought that the "Grandia collection" was a 2-in-1 game?🤔 Edit : Nevermind. I just read that only the Switch has a 2-in-1 version. PC gets separate games. On a side note, I still have a problem with these graphics. I'm talking about especially the second game. I guess I didn't see how blocky it was on a CRT screen back then...
The screenshot says Anniversary Edition because that's what this is. the anniversary edition with an HD update. they didn't bother re releasing this one AGAIN since they already did for pc so alll they did was push an HD update and rename it to "HD Remaster". And yes the switch did get a 2 in one combo but on PC it was separate releases because, like i said, the second game was just an update for the already existing anniversary edition. As for the graphics i don't mind them, i'm used to them. Hell i grew up with this game so. EDIT: Further proof that this is indeed the Anniversary edition: Discord gaming detects it as so
I'm pretty sure it is. According to all the articles i found, instead of re releasing this one, they just updated the anniversary edition with an HD update and renamed it Grandia 2 HD Remaster
