Because the entire game is over 10GB. There's a max file size limit on certain providers, and they need the downloads to be consistent across all platforms.
For anyone who can't get the game to start (half-circle locks up and if you click the program is Not Responding), just be patient. Unity is garbage and it just takes a few minutes. If you get the other actual Unity error with the exclamation point, you're probably shit out of luck.

It's a useless endeavor if you have an old computer like me. This is a Unity glitch that happens to old computer drives. If this happens to you update your drivers, as for me however, since my laptop is literally from 2008 and is up to the current build, its no longer update-able, therefore its pointless :(
As far as I can see, you don't need previous Plaza updates if you have downloaded the base game. So, just the last update (02.07.2020) should suffice to get the latest version up and running.

IGG is more tailored towards quantity as opposed to quality. They have a big library, however, not all of the games will work without some tampering or at all. Make sure to read comments before downloading anything.
No, the problem is hoodlum cracked it first, and scene groups only care about being first or some shit like that. Now that hoodlum has cracked it, the other groups don't care about the game, and hoodlum doesn't give a fuck either so nobody wants to work on it.

The game play itself is quite intriguing but the skill checks are very lousy. Since the protagonist is a carefree guy, why can't he just sleep outside in some shelter since day 1? I don't like the lack of creative, feasible options to deal with whoever a******s out there that you don't like, be it Garte or anyone else. Tested it yesterday, played it all day but didn't progress much because of walking and save scum. There're some moments in the early plot where you need to pass some stats perks otherwise it will be game over or you will progress much slower in the story. Also, I am disappointed in the setting because I expected something more funky from the title of the game same with Neo Cab both share the same flaw for me the writers push too much politics and social justice in their setting just to make the story looks complex and force you to choose a side or stay neutral. It's not subtle at all. So, I would've preferred instead a simple thriller, with no need to make choices that will affect the planet, lol Beside that you can really bad or good cop but I didn't tested the dark side because of the Mc background. Mc is the only character that bring some spice in the dialogs so far for me. I will continue to play a bit the game because the trailer advertised that you can use a gym so I want to see if it's true xD If you want to play a dark story with a more interesting lore, play "The Executioner" (I stopped playing because of bugs at launch should be patched since then) the Mc is also more interesting same with his interactions in the world due to his "dark" background and job :) Edit : exploring is becoming a slog, there is no fast travel... yay backtracking /s

The Installer looks shady and I'm willing to try it in order to play the game, but I'd like to know if this game has worked for someone else and whether or not the Hoodlum installer is safe. I'm not attacking the site, it'd just be reassuring to know Hoodlum is trusted. I find it strange that they didn't just upload the GOG version. Edit: After disabling my antivirus (Windows 10 defender) it worked, I'm afraid to turn it back on in case it deletes game files. It seems to be a false positive. I think I'm supposed to crack or mount something with DaemonTool but I literally can't use it, some bullshit going on over as soon as I try to unpack DaemonTool it asks me for a password. It sounds to me you haven´t the files at all,instead you download files from the adverts.When you download files here,be cautious and only download files who have RAR as ending.Example: disco.elysium.part1.rar ,then part2.rar etc.If you downloaded a exe file then it was the adverts/popups adn it ask password.It is abit a pain because you have to try 2-3 times(clicking on "right here download" )and then most times again 2-3 times on download button of hosters.One good tip:when you click on the buttons for download it should open in the same window and you are on the right way(otherwise another windows opens/pops up).It takes practise but when you figuered it out,it is easy and fast(even with 2-3 times clicking)

And there is my obsession with Mods :) Every game which is installed is modded if it is possible and if there are any GOOD Mods. So I will play The Witcher 3 of coz, but when I know (for sure) How To Mod, coz sometimes its difficult. Yes, I play games without Mods (like AC Origins). Way too long :) So whats your suggestions? :)

All they're saying is cracking this game is completely unnecessary when anyone with a GOG account can buy it and share with hundreds or thousands of people in the form of a DRM free installer. The work is already done.
So I've done a bit of research into the Windows 7 blackscreen issue for those of you having it. I'm going to explain some stuff but there will be a tl;dr below. So the current issue is receiving a blackscreen on startup after the company logo appears. The cursor is visible, but nothing happens. A steam user pointed out that the problem is Windows 7's H264 video decoder doesn't support 4k like Windows 10. They also mentioned that transcoding the video files to VP8 seems to work fine. The problem with all of this is, in order to fix the game, a new version with the patch must be uploaded, but it's a tiny patch and for those of us with slow internet, redownloading 11 gigs for a tiny patch is unreasonable. So as I see there are two elegant solutions and then the third obvious solution. tl;dr: The obvious solution is to just reuploaded the patched version and redownload and install. Though this is bulky and annoying for slow internet users. Figuring out how to extract the video files from Unity's resource obfuscation and then transcoding them and placing them back, is another solution, but I don't know exactly what tools you would need for this, or if they exist. The third and most blessed of the solutions would be to create a small patcher based on the updated files that simply changes your current files to match the updated ones. But for that you would need someone who has both versions and knows how to write a simple patcher. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Every game which is installed is modded if it is possible and if there are any GOOD Mods.
So I will play The Witcher 3 of coz, but when I know (for sure) How To Mod, coz sometimes its difficult.
Yes, I play games without Mods (like AC Origins).

Recently, I have downloaded the mod "https://www.moddb.com/mods/black-mesa-azure-sheep" for Black Mesa, which is the remake of the one which was made for Half-Life ages ago.
People say they were waiting for this since 20 years.
It's too bad I'm really not liking the atmosphere(at least according to the videos I saw, but I yet have to play it), because it might be really good.
But there is something, dont know what, that I like it.
I remember giving up on Pillars of Eternity 1 because of the boring walls of text.

I never thought applying the crack was a hassle or too much work, You simply check "Apply crack" on the installer, Otherwise drag the files manullay.

tl;dr: The obvious solution is to just reuploaded the patched version and redownload and install. Though this is bulky and annoying for slow internet users.
Figuring out how to extract the video files from Unity's resource obfuscation and then transcoding them and placing them back, is another solution, but I don't know exactly what tools you would need for this, or if they exist.
The third and most blessed of the solutions would be to create a small patcher based on the updated files that simply changes your current files to match the updated ones. But for that you would need someone who has both versions and knows how to write a simple patcher.
