if you want a good touhou platform, try tempest of heavens and earth. this game sucks, im sorry to say. i\t's spastic, way too fast, and very very rudementary.
I recommend Touhou Luna Nights as well. It's a metroidvania game starring Sakuya, and you get to use her knife-throwing abilities and time manipulation.
Hmm i wonder if it's only Suika and Rumia or if we'l have more characters included in later updates. Personally i'd love to see some classic characters like Remilia Scarlet or Sakuya Izayoi included. Or everyone's fav Miko(Priestess) Reimu Hakurei. Also why not throw in Marisa Kirisame and even Yukari Yakumo as the main villain?
I'm pretty sure that you think of this concept more highly than most actual Japanese people do. At least in the context of talking about fictional characters, nobody really cares how you call the characters as long as others can understand who is it you are actually talking about.
