It's about intentions. If you just want to experience a piece of PSX history, download this. If you want to mod FF7 with 7th Heaven (and you should; there are a plethora of amazing mods now available), one need only download the FF7 Install Install Disc file from the Internet Archive. Roughly 300 MB size. YOU DON'T NEED THE OTHER GAME DISCS. Do a total install of FF7. There are no cracks in that process. And no need to install the outdated codecs that are offered with the installer. Install the 7th Heaven folder to the FF7. Run the launcher. Run the game. Now mod. Other guides can explain the modding process, as well as the help files included with 7th Heaven. At the end of the day, if you bother to learn the process and see what is available (Bonez being a good starting point) one can transform FF7 into a very sleek remake.
i realize that this is 8 months old but why do you not need the other "disk" files? isn't ff7 originally a 3 disk game, where would the rest of the game come from?
My instructions (that was me above) are for 7th Heaven and the old 90s version of FF7 ; 7th Heaven only needs the Install disc which contains the entire game's data (dialogue, battles, etc.). The other discs contain media: movies and music. Updated music and movies are added as mods via the 7th Heaven mod installer or mod packs from Nexus Mods. Technically you could install EVERYTHING and have the old movies, but in that case just install the game posted here.
I hope that clears things up. If I ever figure out how to use this version with 7th Heaven without half the menus turning French I'll update in the comment section.
hey, just seen this, I downloaded the install disc and mounted it, but the install won't work at all, when I open the setup and click install nothing happens

I always get asked for the serial, I did all the steps including copying the crack files into where the laucher is. I don't understand what's wrong, can anyone help.

I remember playing this, then bought a soundcard just for the soundfont. The music was horrible, but after messing around with the soundfonts, I never went back to the psx original :p
This isnt false advertising as this is a remake. And was done years ago. When looking for this game the new remake make sure to check the date added. This is 2015 I believe. But yeah nothing igg did wrong here.
the last time i played ff7 was on a emulator the emulator version was working like a charm . but its been years and i dont remember why i choose the emulator instead of the pc port EDIT: OH NOW I REMEMBER!!!!! the music in the pc port are shitty midis compared to the psx and the emulator its less big than the pc port

So I played the game for about 3 days, after that I could not access into the game anymore and just got stuck in the 'Launcher' screen. Everytime I clicked PLAY the game just throw me back to that screen. I need help, any idea?
It's a false positive on your anti-virus most likely. The Anti-virus software will sometimes flag cracks and stuff like that and delete them automatically. So you need to redownload the crack files. Then make an exception in your anti-virus/firewall/etc. THEN unpack the files and move them into your file directory for the game. I'm not 100% sure, but you miiiight need to add another exception for the new file directory since you moved the files. Hopefully not, but it's an easy fix if so.
If anyone wants to run the game just install it and then open the iso and remove the crack file,then move the crack files inside that folder into the installed directory of the game replacing everything it asks to.
I've played the game for 3h already and the sound effects got bug or something and I can't listen to them. At first was only the menu sound when you move in it and when I closed the game and opened it again the others sounds stopped and only music sounds. Any advice?
IF YOU WANNA MOD THIS GAME READ THIS Ok ive been mesing with ff7 lately and mods so ill give you guys some info i came across, if you wanna mod this you need a mod loader called seventh heaven because the old one (bootleg) isnt updated and the old mod links are dead. When trying to install it us guys who used cracked games will come across an error and if you ask on the website they will say we dont support illegal copys of the game yadda yadda, but i found a easy walk around to get it to work download this version but don't crack the game then run the seventh heaven converter since you didn't crack the game it think its the regular steam one and apply the patch. so far the mods ive tried all worked except the menu overhaul and the reunion to get the reunion to work search google for the reunion exe version v3 because version 5 dont work (dont know if thers a v4 only found 3 & 5) so run it after the converter so install igg's ff7 (dont crack) run converter then reunion mod after that you can use seventh heaven to install the other hd mods also remember dont apply the crack even after you install the other mods it will break the game and for the mods to show up in game launch the game through the seventh heaven client not by the exe if you run it through the exe only the reunion mod will be active

I've played this, and if you don't try to connect to the cloud, it won't require you to sign in with a SE account. You'll just have local saves, but that's really all you need.
So It's me again; been enjoying dot hack a hell of a lot :) I was wondering if you can crack the Final Fantasy Remake that is 3D or if not that how about the original dot hack's? i.e Infection; Mutation, etc.
Guys dont waste time on this, try searching the original 1997 pc port, this one you cant save progress, igg you should def delete it it doesnt work at all, i tried even having my wifi off and still doesnt save, so its basically not fully cracked. i recommend you delete this or put next to the game name (not fully cracked) or something, but i def recommend you just delete it or put ^
Why is there nothing in the 9 zip folders I downloaded besides part 3? I downloaded them from the google docs link and I would try the other sources, but I expect to get the same result because this happens to me when I download some other games as well. I checked the properties and it says the file is 990mb, even though there's nothing inside. Am I dumb or something? EDIT: You can use the crack by OPENING the mounted disk, not Autorunning it. It seems that after the last boss and the last cutscene, the game just ends even though it shouldn't. Probably a bug, but doesn't matter since you've already beaten the game.
For all those who can't save properly in-game, just turn off your internet conection until you finish playing it. The game is nor properly cracked, so it will constantly check your internet conection until it can sync and until that happens, you will not be able to save. Regards.

Steam. Because this version contains remixes of the OST. Steam made it to where the game has the OST, meaning you can listen to the music from 1997's FFVII.
There is a crack in the folder so when you mount it don't do auto install, just open the folder and copy the crack, then install it. This is what I had to do to get it to work, I also unplugged my internet before installing just to be safe.
To elaborate to the idiots who will say stupid things, this is NOT the remake that was announced for PS4 at E3 2015, this is the PC port that was released on Steam in 2013
So, after all this, can anyone confirm or deny details about this game? Do I need to turn off the internet during installation? Does it have a crack? Etc.
i forgot man,because i did remember registering for it..but seems like it's kinda blurry...but i did manage to play btw... try installing with internet turned off... if cant,just register for it,it's free and easy..and i play without internet...hope it helps..

Another question. I installed the game without internet like you said, applied the crack, but every time I try to play the game, it comes up with an ERROR CODE: 2 message. DO you know what this means?
all i can think of is your antivirus false positive.. try turn off antivirus while installing...if yours is MCafee uninstall if still cant... for me i just turn off my antivirus
