Epic Games is trying to do what Steam did/does. (or atleast that's what it feels like) They're trying to get more users on their store by giving away games for free (with no age verification so they beat for example rockstar on that one) and then "buy" games (like Metro: Exodus, Ghostbusters Remastered, Borderlands 4) to get/force even more users to their store that want to play said games. They've stopped development on Unreal Tournament so they can focus on Fortnite. (It's not bad to shift focus to another game that is more popular but you can't release a game like Unreal Tournament with lots of fans as a pre-alpha but tbh that's probably just me wanting a new unreal tournament) It's quite obvious what they're going for, huh? And it works. Steam is imo a good store for indie games and AAA titles. The workshop is a really good idea, communities are cool, the item market is a proper economy system which you can make lots of money off (or lose lots of money :) ). Now the sad thing: Valve is doing nothing new. They don't make games anymore. (or atleast don't announce that kind of stuff anymore). Valve shifted from a game developer to a full-time game retailer and "from-time-to-time game developer" even though it's sad to lose Valve as the game dev company we've known it before. The "pay to add friends" thing isn't that bad. They have to pay their servers, eh? (even though they already have large amounts of money but i guess they want that feature to stay) Conclusion: Epic Games is shit. Valve is shit but not as shitty as Epic Games. Wait, the original still holds up, did we really need a remaster? Oh wait, it's an Epic exclusive, of course, they "needed" a cash injection... Anyways, the game is great. I feel like this remaster is probably lazily slapped together and not much of an upgrade, so if you're having issues with it, grab the original release. Worst case scenario is that you may not be able to play it at resolutions over 1080 or with fancy HDR stuff or whatever they may have tacked on, but I don't feel like it's going to make much of a difference.
Bullshit like brutally exploiting their workers, buying out games that were already announced or even being sold pre-release in other stores, being owned by a scummy mobile game company and a delusional Bond-villain CEO, not complying with european laws, having the least secure online store with millions of hacked accounts and countless issues... Oh, and not having a shopping cart. Just in case you needed more.
They also don't let you review you the games on Epic I believe? Which is pretty crazy on top of not having a simple tool like a damn shopping cart. Another thing I noticed is, epic exclusive games advertise their game on Steam even when they go the Epic way to lure more customers in. GoG and Steam give away games too from time to time, Epic is just doing it every two weeks because they want more people to use their launcher. Once the fortnite money slows down we'll see if they will continue doing this.

For those having issues with crashing on startup, Change you sound quality to something below 48000 Hz (mine is on 44100 Hz) and change your sound to stereo. I started it with laptop speakers instead of logitech headset and it worked for me.
The graphics looks exactly the same as the original but it seems like the remastered version is blurry. I don't see the point of remastering this game unless it was a ps2 version or something.
Not that i could find, i messed around with the settings as much as i could and suddenly the very first cutscene was working but all the others weren't, they all were desynced. And then the game crashed and i said fuck it

Crack folder is empty but game works fine on my laptop. Launched it as admin and just finished capturing the fisherman ghost. Now time to watch the old ghostbuster movies and see if they're on 4K.

The original game had co-op FOR CONSOLES ONLY -- stripped for PC subclass. Why was this not fixed in this re-release...a? (NB: This game is a "HD" rehash, made for Swiitch and Epic Store -- it is not a new game)
