Update the game with the 10/10/2019 patch just to be sure.
If you still update it and experience those drag->insta crash and stuff do the following. Move The Game Folder into the Steam->steamapps->common and leave it there. After that get back in the game folder and drag the new updated Game.exe to boot.bat. You can thank me later. ;)
Nevermind, after looking into it I prefer the new art style way more than the old. I'll just have to live with it not being 18+ which really isn't that big of a deal.
i have the same problem as some people and dragging the launcher to boot haven't worked, actually I dont have "boot.bat" its just "boot" does it have anything to do with that? actually it worked but when i launch the game it crashes asap, why?
Anyone who downloaded this and played the game already? I downloaded it (though from another website but it surely came from here) and the sprites are a mess. I just can't explain it. The game kept showing sprites that should have not be shown there. Here's a screenshot. Look at that mess. I've played a bit and on the scene with the teacher on the rooftop, I think there should be some sprite overlayed in the background but I get something like that too.
When i open boot.bat as administrator the window pops up for a brief moment (all black) and then closes never to be heard of again. If i open boot.bat not as an administrator it at least comes up with a screen options/ start game window but eventually does the same thing when i click start game. Anyone have any advice? Really excited for this one I've heard a lot of good things.
Apparently i have solved the problem. You can try install or update your windows mrdia feature pack and directX 11 on your computer. Those can be downloaded on http://microsoft.com
The anime is adapting a very old visual novel. This is a remake of that visual novel. It's an extremely influential visual novel, it influenced stuff like Steins Gate.
There are actually 2 VNs, the original and this remake, as well as two anime, one a hentai based on the original and one a regular anime based on the "All Ages" remake (which is this). The new anime just finished in Japanese and will finish in english dub on October 15
is the gameplay of this remake the same as the old one? judging from the screenshots, it seems like they turned it into another generic visual novel. Edit: I've played the old one and it was a wild ride. I didn't watch the anime because the character art looked generic. I loved the old art style in the game.
The gameplay is the same. In fact it’s been enhanced. Because the old one was a mess to navigate, this remake has simplified the UI vastly so everything is easier to navigate. But the gameplay is still exactly the same as it was in the old version.
That's good to hear. I still prefer the art style of the old one. Something about the old graphics (not really sure how many bits it was) felt really good to look at. I barely finished the game without having to look at a walkthrough. Finding that last orb (hidden behind the board, iirc) was a pain unless you liked to click every pixel. Also the fact that your stepmom is being harassed in the next office was a distraction (or did that happen in the daytime while you're sneaking around at night, can't remember exactly). Great game. Will always be one of my favorites. One of the few games that got me emotionally invested in. I loved the heroines (and that detective/spy woman), and wanted all of them to be my waifus.
Yeah they’ve made icons on stuff you can interact with and there’s a menu option to help you even further with items and locations. So you won’t get stuck as easy as you would in the old version.

Try opening the boot.bat as administrator instead. That worked for me. Though be aware some people (including myself) have an issue where they can't proceed past a certain point in the prologue. I actually owned the game on Steam but refunded it due to the issue. And I attempted to download this cracked version instead but still encounter the same exact issue. So you might need to wait for a fix.
following the main story only ai is pretty serius but if click everywhere...man,you got some pretty good laugh , i'm still laughing about he asking for a girl say " i like them big" :v
This novel is a remake of a classic 98 visual novel that could be seen as the predecessor to Steins;Gate. The original was cumbersome and a mess to play, which is why I never finished it. Hopefully this will be more streamlined.
The original is a cumbersome mess. I only wanted this Remake to streamline the system a little bit, it was confusing as all hell. Yes, the art in the original was great, but I just want to be able to actually finish the damn game and not walk around for hours of my life wondering what the fuck to do. 😄
Don't listen to him. The people who've played the original are just extremely butthurt over some changes. Here are the three major things that usually gets mentioned: Art: Which is subjective. I do agree that the old has a certain charm, but I like the new one as well. So I won't let that detract from a good story. OST: Also subjective, but they do give you the option to switch to the old soundtrack whenever you want. H-Scenes: This is probably the biggest thing that people don't like. In this remake the H-scenes aren't present. HOWEVER, they are still referenced. You simply won't see them. So it's not like any story has been cut really. In the end. The story is pretty much exactly the same. And it isn't a mess to navigate with the horrible UI the old one had.
