Since Darksiders version doesn't work with the patch, try downloading it from another website like kimochi(.)info or hentaigamer(.)org . they already have the game with the patch so you just can play it straight away.
after playing 2 routes I have to say I'm really surprised by the tone consistency of this game. when things get interesting, it DOES get interesting. totally recommended! definitely gonna buy the steam version just to support this kind of writing. oh and by the way, honorifics are butchered. it is a great game but what a shame. i think this one's pretty good, it's pretty life affirming, even in the very prologue the fact that when we lose someone we aren't the only one in pain about the lost but they themselves feel sadness and anguish for leaving us behind. Can't change your mind if you don't like harem VN in general, but this one is quite good in the 4 hrs I played:
The story is a mix between being light-hearted and serious, did not bore me with all those way too prolonged shallow fluffy moments like many others.
The overall writing is good, girls being more themselves rather than just archetypes, thoughts and motives are well-written, comedic moments are fun.
The main guy, while being somewhat self-insert, has a distinct personality and does drive the story (he got eyes), guy aint as fussy as much those Japanese main chars.
The art is nice, has personality to it. Overall, a nice VN to play if you are: a beginner/ someone who bored of typical Moege/ someone who want to read just a mildly serious story line. Not recommend: Those who looks for: typical Moege / very serous story / something not Visual Novel.

At some points I was literally tempted to skip all the sex scenes and get to the "good parts" of the story, but I convinced myself to read through them because sometimes there is still plot-relevant dialogue even during the sex scenes. Sometimes in my head I literally went like: "Oh ffs, not another sex scene, just get on with it already and continue the actual plot..."
You can always try classics like Eve Burst Error, Heartwork or YU-NO. Yeah, they're dated and getting the story to progress may be a bit of a chore but they have way more substance than today's run of the mill nukige.

I just checked and the 18+ patch does seem to work on this. It is likely because this might already be the 18+ version since there is no indication in the install folder that this even is the Steam version. It doesn't even have a steam_api file, so it might already be the 18+ version
