All downloads for part 1 are down, except for MegaUp, which is downloading with 40kb/s, taking 2 days to complete. I wonder why some MegaUp DLs are quite fast while others can be crawling. It doesn't seem to depend on the time of day because I tried multiple times and every single time it has been impossible slow.
So much for a 'Director's Cut'. It STILL has the same game-breaking bugs as the original release! I can see these publishers/developers: "Let's release the same game again and change the colors a little! Hahaha! Brilliant! They'll never know! Let's also give it a cool name... Oh, I got it! Director's Cut! Again, brilliant! Release it! Those idiot gamers who spend billions of dollars on virtual things will buy ANYTHING! We're gonna be rich!!" ((facepalm)) Oh god, will we EVER get a decent gaming industry back???
Wow, it's true what they say. The Director's Cut graphic "upgrade" almost looks like a downgrade (The Director's Cut screenshots are the second ones - I have no idea how to remove that weird preview screenshot. Anyway, just click on the link if you want to see the before/after comparison.) => https://imgur.com/a/AtbtTts https://imgur.com/a/kxjx3rj I say "almost" because I do like the brighter and warmer colors, but it does look more dull with flat lighting, no? This game seems interesting, though. I really loved https://igg-games.com/bards-tale-trilogy-862315186-free-download.html, so I'm curious to try this one. Last time I played, I couldn't stop for hours! But apparently, the gameplay of this one is quite different, right? You get free look and movement, but no jump, sneak, etc. So it feels very simple. In the videos I saw, battles seem much slower, but not necessarily more interesting. Also, despite this massive update, the game is still extremely buggy.🤔 Some people say it's downright unplayable. What do you guys think?
The shadows are clearly lower res and some are even missing. They might want to have a more comic-look with the "Director's Cut" but reducing detail is a cheap way to archive it. I actually bought the game and while it's of cause different than the old ones, it still was quite a bit of fun and beside one time getting stuck in some object, losing some game progress, it never crashed on me.
Yep. Crashed in EXACTLY the same places as the first release! They did NOTHING to it except change a couple colors! I can't believe I wasted the disk space and the time.... AGAIN! The gaming industry is truly in the toilet these days.
I can't get any further than the game's cursor on a black screen that just stays forever, never finishes loading...maybe my machine doesn't have the ass to run it?? Edit: Nevermind, the same fix I used for Ancestors Humankind fixed this as well. Just get rid of that "movies" directory.
I hope this will not have the bug with the gears at the Langskaal entrance. It has an engine update, new Char pictures, one addittional dungeon and so on...
Yeah, but the good thing is... You have one additional song. With that you can atomatic solve the puzzles. I think it's not possible to fix some bugs. So they put this song in. Played it last year over 40 hours and had a bug with the gear puzzle. This time it will no problem. But the DC is not with the old version savegame compatible.
