I need help. I opened the first folder with windows powershell. i put the code. but i get an error saying that i need to be a developer. "To install this application you need either a Windows developer license or a sideloading-enabled system." i'm sure that i am already a developer on this computer.
after u install the game, extract all parts into 1 folder and you'll have 3 folders, FH4, etc.. make sure u have developer mode on and Shift+right click in the first folder and type "Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml" and enter, do the same for the other 2 folders and make sure u rename the .exe file in FH4 "Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.exe.exe" into "Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.exe" after that open ur windows menu and you should see forza horizon 4 on the top and launch it from there.
the game is not starting when i try to start the game from the start menu a grey screen with the logo in the middle appears for 20 secs and then closes any help
Also, I found some Savegames and tried using them (Lotsa Cash, Houses, Gameplay 50%), but they didn't work, as well as the Photo Mode only saves "1" Photo and no more !?! I'm guessing it's because this is a Cracked Game, which doesn't allow any real interactions with Forza-Hub. That's why we have to Block the Game in the Firewall, otherwise it'll crash.
I downloaded, extracted the Game, read the instructions, which at first I didn't quite follow, thought the Game needed to be on Drive C:.....but it doesn't, found the YouTube Video explaining everything, then in the end....it actually worked !! Thanks so much for this !! :-) Though, I am using Win10 1909 version, so I don't know if it'll work with other versions !?!
Some people manage to run it under windows 20H02. For my part I can't do it. I advise you to filter the comments by the best ones, you'll find plenty of answers (and if it works on your side, let me know haha)

Yes, I remove exe from the executable, I don't remember it's name, but remove the exe at the end (x2 exe for me) Then create rules in the firewall and antivirus and put forza in it (the exe), or disable ur antivirus.

Basically 1: You need to downgrade to windows 1909, Google can help with that. 2: Block its internet access on your firewall. 3: Put your antivirus in passive mode. This is just my vague memory, sorry.
Is the file size less than 5 MB? Did you get the file directly, or have you used an exe? If the answer to any of the questions is yes, you downloaded an ad. Please try downloading the files again and make sure you get the correct ones.

You might want to read up by googling the internet. There is a lot of talk about this. This game version 1.332.904.2 (Jul 30, 2019), as well as other sites versions (i.e. 1.432.823.2 (Aug 27, 2020), 1.451.334.0 (Nov 18, 2020)) all show and state that this game ONLY runs on Windows 1903 and 1909. I personally have installed all (3) of these version on both a 1903 and a 1909 system, and can say they run flawlessly. I have NOT yet tried to install and run on newer versions of Windows 10 (i.e. 2004, 20H2). I hope this helps you

Right-click the start menu and choose Run
In the Run window, type winver and press OK

Choose Uninstall.

Choose go back to the previous version of Windows.

You have to be sure that your windows 10 version is 1903 build. My was crashing too, but since I read all the instructions carefuly I downgraded my windows from 1909 to 1903 and it works now. Just be sure that you are reading all the things that you need to read before installing the game. And please be nice to igggames, I'm here from 2015 and they are doing things that you can't do, because you're not smart enough, so appreciate them more pls.

If you have download the zip packages (all 18 of them), you want to open the first zip (part 01) as that will have all the xml files. Then open your directory to " G:\Forza.Horizon.4.Ultimate.Edition-LOOTBOX\FH4" and you should see the APPxManifest.xml, and try the command again.

Also I do not have msi afterburner, Rivatuner or any of those other programs that other suggestions say you need to turn off so it will work

If you download all 18 parts, you want to open part 01 as in that zip, it has all the dll file and you just need to extract that. Thats what happened to me.

you have to make sure you open the windows powershell as administrator, select the option toward the bottom of the list that just says run as administrator and doesnt have a picture of the icon next to it

For people with the same prob. Solution is delete msvcp140_app.dll and vcruntime140_app.dll it will fix the crashing locations. I downloaded this files because it says it was missing and wont start and i took it on some website (i forgot). After deleting this game will still run afterwards but with no crashes on map locations.
Yes its the same as mine But i think because of this or no. At certain points on the open world the game freezes and crash. I mark them and avoid them. Its the only way since i cant find any solution

Right in part 1 if you have downloaded it then if you go into the iso there should be a folder that says plaza and you need to drag the files out of the plaza folder and place them in the main directory
bro, go to start menu, then search "forza horizon 4", right-click it then uninstall, wait for 5secs. and that should be it. try installing it again using powershell edited: it has error because it was already installed(failed). maybe you installed it previously (then you delete the file) and this was your 2nd time installing it
For anyone that has a crash on saving after painting a car. Most likely your save folder is read only. To fix it:
Go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Packages
Find folder called Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Right click it and press properties
Uncheck read-only and press apply then ok
Double check if the changes applied For me personally the changes did not apply. But if you just click apply and leave the property window open and run the game you will be able to save your cars paint jobs. Hope that helps and have fun.

So I copied the save from one computer to another and re downloaded the game and when I try to launch it, it shows the same problem I have seen other people have where It opens then after like 2 seconds it closes. The Start menu icon shows a downloading bar at the bottom after I do this. I have heard that just waiting a couple of days fixes this. Any ideas? This game doesn't like Deep Freeze or Shadow Defender. If you use one of those programs, even if you put the save file on the [exempted list], when you restart your computer, it will crash on the title screen while trying to load your save file.
To all you crying about crashing after 3 seconds. Make sure you did things correctly, then WAIT. It may take a day or two but it will randomly start working believe it or not. Happened to me on latest windows 10 update and also happened to one of my friends. We also made sure we didn't have any pending updates. It just worked. That's all folks

I ran into a problem. The game was working fine for 3 days and than I had to deal with stuff and haven't had the time for playing. Now when I finally came back after a week and tried to load it up, it just loads up for 10 seconds and closes itself. Any help? I'm really bored in quarantine and gotta get this fixed :) P.S.I have no overlay apps, and I'de like to add that the loader doesn't close instantly - but only after 10 secs.
Can anyone tell me what if I did anything wrong, I can't get it to work: Have windows 1809 and am up to date (would've thought that updating windows wouldve changed the version but I guess not? either way, someone said it works before 1903 and after 1909) Downloaded game (specifically torrent), extracted and have the three FH4 folders. Renamed the .exe and removed the extra .exe in the name Ran powershell as admin, did (without the 's) 'cd [FH4 folder location]' then 'Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml' - repeated that for the other 2 FH4 folders. Opened windows firewall, changed under inbound the .exe's properties to blocked (and it wasn't listed under outbound) Inbound -> new rule -> .exe -> block Repeat for outbound Run forza via windows start menu - It will initially show the logo, then just disapear. FOUND THE SOLUTION! Guys, if you get this crash - you most likely installed DLLs that the .exe file told you were missing. Remove these DLLs and you're good to go! Enjoy the game.
So guys, I renamed the .exe file and followed the instructions, but when I try to click on the .exe I get 4 popups that say: VCRUNTIME140_APP.dll was not found. MSVCP140_APP.dll was not found. Any solution? What got messed up?

I downloaded the lootbox version and followed the instructions to the letter. I had developer mode on. I'm running Windows 10 1909 I didn't have to delete any files, as after extraction, I noticed it was already done. I only had to rename the game file, as it was already edited but with the extra ".exe" I had all three files for the game and its extensions(FH4, FH4_Lego...). WD and malware software were shut off. Now here's where things got tricky for me. I go to the base directory for the game to install with powershell, I copied the cmd line from notepad, opened Powershell Command with shift+right click and right clicked the window and it paste the copied command. I hit enter and I get an error. My PC should have no problem running this game, its A Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series gaming laptop and it runs everything I throw at it. So...what am I doing wrong? Why does this have to be so complicated? I shouldn't need to take coarse in programming just to play a game copy

So, the game works perfectly on win 10 pro 1903 and 1909 also, because today I updated to 1909. Extract the game, than
enable developer mode ( settings-update & security- for developers) and rename! delete .exe in Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64........ file, so in this file just remove .exe ending. (this file is in FH4 folder)
in each folder ( fh4, fh4_fortuneisland, fh4_lego) run powershell ( shift+ right click) - hit enter and than paste the Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml- make sure that you run powershell as administrator
than in windows defender firewall- block the renamed Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64........ file. Windows defender firewall- advanced settings-indbound rules-new rule-next-put the renamed file-add fh4 name-finish Do the same in outbound rules and voala the game starts. If you cant start the game after these steps, than you have to update your windows, because the games works perfectly before 1903 and after the 1909 update.
*After you finished every step, do not rename the extracted folder(s)- game will crash. Tested :)

I renamed the main folder that got the txt file and all of it at the start before I done anything then I changed it back when the game kept crashing to Forza.Horizon.4.Ultimate.Edition-LOOTBOX because I think this is what it used to be

Yep you need to download all the parts. For the extraction, extract part 1 and winrar (or any other program you may be using) will automatically extract everything

Keep in mind if you play this version - if your copy works, that is - season will never change and you'll be playing it in whatever season you're in FOREVER. Hence the Festival Playlist will have the count-down timer stuck at 0 days, 0 hours and 0 minutes no matter when you open the game. Why? Because this version is not able to communicate with official server and it is needed for the game to switch season. For me it's a permanent winter, time to get myself a legit copy!
Game doesn't work, when I want to run it from start menu I only see logo of the game for a sec and then nothing more happens. I did everything what was needed to run this game. After extracting you Should double click on the ISO Thing and attach it to a CD drive or another type of local digital disk. Than Double click on it and Install the game.

It still doesnt work, that is a solution for the DLC cars not working if iam not mistaken... I think the problem is related to the account, in the lower, left corner, at the startup menu when enter is pressed a message can be seen "WELCOME MRLOOTBOX" then crash... Sometimes these games don't require a setup or installation. What comes out of the archive is the already-made game directory. If the .exe file/game launcher isn't in the root directory, do a .exe seach within the directory and try and launch the game that way. I'm not sure if this applies to this game because I've never downloaded it. But if there's no setup file, there's a good chance that the game directory is already made and no installation is required.

I do not know if you've been successful since, but it may be able to help other people, just go to the settings of Windows 10, go to "Applications" as on the screen and uninstall "Forza Horizon 4 "there and then you can reinstalel the game via the powershell command prompt.

Je ne sais pas si tu as réussi depuis, mais ça poura peut-être aider d'autres gens, il suffit d'aller dans les paramètres de Windows 10, d'aller dans "Applications" comme sur le screen et de désinstaller "Forza Horizon 4" par là et ensuite tu pourras réinstalel le jeu via l'invit de commande powershell.
il faut que tu fasse shift+click droit dans le dossier de fh4, tu click sur ouvir fenetre de commande powershell ici et tu colle "Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml" et idem dans celui de fortune island et lego

You need to copy this Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml and go in FH4 Folder, FH4 Fortune Island and FH4 Lego and press anywhere inside the folder shift + right click and then open powershell window here and copy that command. crash at startup as in when you press enter/A at the main menu it crash? or when starting the application? if it's the latter try disabling or exit any monitoring software like MSI afterburner/RivaTuner. the game doesnt like those type of programs.

Yeah, delete .exe only if you don't have "File name extension" enabled, if you do, and you see .exe.exe, you delete one. But as far as I can see, there's a lot of problems with this game, so that won't necessarily solve the crashing problem.
You don't open that .exe. If you did the Powershell thing, you'll find the game executable in your start menu. Also, rename that into Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.exe

My performance in-game is much worse compared to benchmarks with a worse CPU than mine but with the same GPU. These are my specs: i7 8086K, 16GB RAM 2666Mhz, GTX 1050 Ti 4GB VRAM. I barely get 40-50 fps on the low preset and at high speed it drops down to under 30 fps.

The one thing that worked for me was re extracting. I found that the main file was not registered but the DLC were. It was funny. After trying a 3rd time, it worked. Could you try one more time?
My final solution for any of my problems. Probably will help you First check about programs that are open that gives you ingame info about hardware.close it Second if your game crashes in some zones like it could be in the start is because your c++ are outdated, download the program from the microsoft page. also check if some of the c++ says x86, this is for 32 bits, you need the x64 (64 bits) Third check if you did with powershell the right steps, ( first you start with the base game (FH4)) Fourth, check drivers of your gpu The final one, check the whole steps that mr. lootbox gave you. No Forza Icon (from reset app button) ? Delete old files. Extract original Zip files. Redo the process. My solution: I got my app icon to come back after deleting the old game files and extracting it like new. Then, I found that the DLC was still registered to .xml, but the Main file was not. So once I registered this main directory again, I got the icon back. Don't forget to: 1903 Windows Build Delete .exe in the name of executable (special thanks to Hellzbellz1234)

Game won't work on Windows 10 1903 Insider Preview. Reverting to stable 1903 works. But, Once, I installed Avast Antivirus, the game crash during intro. So deleting avast fix the crash for now. Other issue I have is that, I can't get stable 60 fps. My spec is : i5 8400 16GB DDR4 GTX 1070 Playing the game in 1080p. Is my spec a problem for this game? Thanks in advance. Hello guys, so i did everything and my windows is updated to the latest version including a small update that came out today. And i used power shell to register all the folders. I also blocked the exe in Firewall. Now when i go to the start menu and click on the FH4 game, i see a small white line under the game pop up, then nothing happens. The game does not lunch at all, i don't see any logo or black screen. I even followed that YouTube video on how to install the game. Did every single step and i still can't get the game to work. i had the same problem make sure that the Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.exe is .exe and not .exe.exe, because even when i renamded an it showed .exe it actually was .exe.exe so what i did is just delete the .exe and redid ecerything show on the tutorial you can found if you scroll down a bit in the comment section.

also I forgot to say the most important thing, you have to make sure you are doing what the HOW TO START file tells you to do, my guess is that you tried to open the exe file, thinking it was the game. (also make sure that after you install the game you open it from the start menu and do what the featured comment said) either way if what i guessed was true then you should just skip everything i just said in my other comment edit: you might have to do what the featured comment said first before anything else

Ok so, I have the same problem, it is either the Firewall settings, or your Windows version isn't the one it needs to be. Even if it says your version is 1903 try updating it again, I did that and now I'm redownloading FH4, also a guy down in the comments said that updating Windows worked for him as well, hope this helps.

the game seems to crash every time i try to change a car when im on the road, and it also crashes when i try to make an event and change the car that i wish to race in. therefore i always have to change my car in a house or in the festival. it's not a gamebreaking thing but it just annoys me a lot. otherwise the game runs great and thanks Lootbox for cracking it :D, just hope that you will fix this small problem for us.
For people that launch the game from the start menu and it shows popup and then crashes: You still don't have Windows 10 update 1903, I thought I had it because I didn't check it properly and when I tried to update it said that there is no updates but if you continue reading there is going to be an option (I don't know why they say first that there is no update) where you can download update 1903.

i had install the latest version, but still the same problem occured. So i tried to download back those dll files from webs and the exe file still didnt run anything, is that any mistake i have did?
It just means your PC's missing some files is all. Go to the FAQ page and click " I have problems related to .DLL files". Also ensure you have windows 10 build 1903.

ok, so i did all the steps, which is change the .exe, and add xml into the folder. but its still wont run. when i open it throught the windows search menu(thats how you open it right?), it just appear an app with the forza horizon 4 picture and then gone, and nothing happen. is it because of Igg-Games constantly update the files, so the files get jumbled? can someone help me? When the game came out. I tested it with several graphics, really only 3, but, one was the MSI 1050ti gaming x, with an i5 4670, 8gb ram 1600mhz, 2tr HDD and an SSD 500m. The SSD and HDD works the same way the game will only help you on the loading screens, well the game by automatically putting the options on high, almost always runs between 55FPS minimum at the worst moments at 80FPS. The only stuttering that suffered inclisube in the good sets, were on the loading screens normal thing, but I already want many Japanese games to run just as well, but no, there you have berserk that has PS2 graphics with shaders, but run from the Shit included in minimum. Then you have this game, with very detailed graphics, the walls that can be destroyed have many details even if you approach the camera, the optimization of this game is crazy.

Actually your problems are, that your pc is bullshit, at present, we go with computers from the third generation and windows 10, you don't have to search anything on google and programs for a game to work, of course, unless they are games dedicated to windows xp, 98 or 95, ai we have a problem, it is better to wait for remastered or forget about its existence. Or the compatible editions of GOG and steam that edit them so that they work with the new operating systems without the need to do nonsense. Apart how we can be useful if you say nothing useful. Hi guys! i'll leave a gameplay here! Now in my case i didn't had any trouble making this work, just updated my W10 version to 1903 and did all the developer mode thing, change the .exe.exe to just one .exe and it works fine! Now i could't record the video with the programs i usually do which record with good quality cause for some reason the game crashed every time i tried to record with either Filmora or OBS so i recorded with the Windows utility so sorry for the quality because it doesn't make this game justice, it really looks amazing! and works very stable compared to Horizon 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILac_ZxzJl4&feature=youtu.be
I do not have this pirate game, but you always edit the name and image in the files of the same crack, look at them, there are always about 2 that you can open and change the linked image and the name and cheat.

Hey if like me you are using a anti-virus that takes control of the firewall, you may see some problems. For some reason my anti-virus wouldn't open with my internet off (no clue why works fine with no internet on my laptop) so I couldn't add it to the firewall. If you really dont care about the Windows Store I highly recommend you just go ahead and delete it. There is no real reason to have it anyway unless you want to play some Xbox games. To uninstall the Windows Store open Command Prompt (Must be admin mode) Enter this code: "Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers" Then a wall of text will be displayed, scroll up until you find the Windows Store and copy the package full name. Then put this: "remove-appxpackage" followed by the package name. Hope this helps some people out :)

I am having the same problem. I think I followed the directions correctly. Deleted the extra ".exe," blocked program in windows firewall, made an exception in third party security, windows 10 already fully up to date, graphics card drivers up to date, microphone disabled, no overclocking software or game overlays, used RAMMap to clear standby memory probably one or two more recommended fixes. Same thing happens with a clean boot: it loads a window with the FH4 splash screen for 2 seconds then crashes.
worked fine first time with the youtube instructional- my problem though is i had a profile with every car on it and this game you are forced to start from scratch as mr lootbox so ie got nothing and i cant be starting all over after i had everything. OMFG! This is the FIRST Forza Horizon game that I didnt buy & I really didnt think it would even get cracked seen its been so long, so.... 4 days ago I bought the Ultimate Edition with ALL the DLC & car packs and of course a couple of days later its been cracked!! WTF! My luck is the worst!! I mean I only bought it because last week it was finally on special for 50% off & then no joke 2 days later I check this site (like I do every single day) & there it is, just been cracked! Its been out for over a year I think & then within 2 damn days of me buying it & after checking this site several times a day, everyday it gets cracked now? Seriously is this some major plot against me? I had to buy Forza Horizon 3 because it was set in Australia where I live so it was great, but, I own several steering wheels as I bought about 4 cheaper models including a Logitech G920 that I hated cause they felt like cheap rubbish or had weak force feedback, until I finally bought a Thrustmaster TX & a Thrustmaster T500RS (I wanted a wheel for PC, PS4 & Xbox1) but now Forza is released on PC I dont need a wheel for Xbox1 at all as Forza is the only good racing game for xbox. The Logitech wheels are CRAP in comparison, the Tmaster THA8 gear shifter is full size & feels real, the Logitech shifter is sooooo tiny& feels like cheap plastic & there is almost No movement between changing gears cause it so stupidly tiny & Thrustmaster wheels have so many legit upgrades & options so I could get a realistic leather wheel & the full metal inverted race pedals, but, here is why I wasnt going to buy Forza Horizon 4, it NOT Realistic in any way! Whats the point in having one of the best simulation wheel setups if the game is super unrealistic, just like there is NO point having "Real" car names & models when they handle so fake! The force feedback is also pretty shit as the worst part with Forza's feedback is there is NO force feedback for the road surface! When driving on tarmac the wheel does nothing, its just dead like you driving on air & not on a road, irl u feel vibrations & can feel the roads surface, but sadly not in Forza! but the worst part is the lack of realistic handling and physics, almost all the cars feel the same or have barely any variation in handling etc. Im glad I did buy it tho as at least I can play online with my bets mate unlike the pirated version, especially being a Microsoft game! I really, really would NOT want to even attempt at trying to play a Pirated Microsoft game online! Seeing they Own Windows! and Forza requires parts of Windows 10 to run... be very careful guys!

After a long process of figuring out how to install (just make sure your PC is in developer mode in the windows settings underneath Updates and Security than go to file and open Powershell, or leftshift+right click, than put in the cmd they told you in all 3 folders in order) and blocking the program with my firewall and updating windows thanks to Kevin Fitzgerald, I still wasnt able to play it. Than after trying Chicken Nuggets suggestion of renaming and removing the ".exe" in the exe file retried, no dice. than put the .exe back and now it works Thanks IGG for all the help. Yo, Ho! Appreciate any help. I followed Directions. Version I downloaded had all the necessary changes made to it. Downloaded game But I can't for the life of me get it to run. install went smooth no errors. The closest I got was opening it through Geforce Experience but crashes within two seconds of opening. AV closed and also in a ignore folder. Does this have to be on C-Drive because I have it saved on a secondary drive. Drivers are all updated windows updated.. I've made multiple attempts.. No u I just wanted a nice simple download and I have to mess around with frickin megaup because Google drive has the God damn limit and mega has the transfer quota. I'm not going to pay 5€ a month to download more than 200mb, leave me be. Forgive me if I am wrong but Google has 15 gig limit for all free user and each one of these is 5 gigs so no reason that you can not use google drive what so ever. I have done it and still do it all the time with google as a matter of fact I only use google drive. There are several post on this website that tells you how to bypass google drive limit also. Once again I am not trying to be a dick just wanting to make sure that you were aware of this that is all my friend.
You're not wrong but Google also does not recognize the deletion of files from Google drive as freeing up more space, you lose the files but don't get back the storage. For this alone I would have to make 4 accounts and I don't think that's more worth it than just using a slower megaup
After you delete the files while still on G Drive just refresh your browser a couple of times and it will free up your space. This is the same way that I thought for the longest time so do not think that you are alone because my friend I thought the exact same thing for a long time. If you do not have to much on Gdrive then you should be able to download 2 files then delete then 2 more so on and on.Also you have to make a copy of the file sometimes first just depends if Gdrive will let you without doing this or not and their are lots of information on this site showing how 6to make a copy and download from Gdrive

The Powershell isnt opening in the folder, but I tried to running it from the start menu and it worked that way. Just cant seem to do it the way you said. I'm pretty sure I'm doing it correct because I see where I can click the option in the folder to open it as administrator.
Go to the folder FH4 folder, click on the file button and you should see powershell as an option, click run as administrator. Make sure you have developer mode enabled (can be found in windows settings/Security Updates/For developers)

rip, well now that ive seen how guy did it in the video its actually a pretty simple/fast process. Just make sure your windows is updated to 1903 and the program is blocked in the firewall (so it doesnt start asking the internet for receipts and shit) Unfortunatly i gotta wait for my windows to update so probably wont be able to tell you it works till after I go to sleep and wake up.

I'm trying to play a racing game not learn how to hack into the matrix. THANK YOU for saying exactly how I am feeling and also the same freaking problem trying to install with power shell which I have never used. This said I am 55 years old and have had a computer since 1995 for personal use however I have downloaded thousands of items over the years and have never ever seen this being used to install a game. Now like this person said be easy on the ones of us who have not used power shell or if we have it was minimal.

Yes im on 1903 And i remembered something, my file extension thing hide thing is in "on" and in the game file folder there is appearing 1 .exe but actually there is 2 .exe's I think i found why not work for many peoples they need to uncheck their "hide file extension" from the file options

Me too, although back then i thought Windows 10 was less buggy than 7, though i discover that i just need to replace a hardware, the Windows 7 has no problems. unfortunately i have to make a switch sooner or later. Yes all my games works on Windows 7, but in 2020 abandoned. that being said i kept it to ver 1607 and try to use LTSB because next updates were heavier especially the retpoline ones (they anticipate a hole which state sponsored hacker-researcher, NOT independent hackers, designed specifically to do that, so people are scared to and have to replace)
I already got this on sale last Black Friday for $35 for both the PC and Xbox One, but congrats to all that finally get to play it...it's a great game. That said, I might download this as a backup, just in case.
As much as i love Windows 7 64-bit i feel like it's inevitable to move on. except all you play is GOG games which doesn't require online interaction except for downloading the games itself. Steam had removed support of Windows XP a year ago, if time is to be seen, large possibility that in 2023-2024 Steam will remove Windows 7 support. Buggy? Yes, especially when newer version numbers introduce additional bugs. Slower over time? Yes. Especially the retpoline update, which is more suited for planned obsolescene. But you can make it stick to 1607 and it can at least play all the current games.
Exactly, windows 10 is the buggest piece of shit ever. And there's no reason you can't play recent games on 7 as every other game works on it, it's just microsoft forcing you to use it.

when i wanted to unistall forza that appears in start menu,just unistall it from start menu,click on it and unistall,it wont delete your files.I think that is what you are looking for.
nah i reset the fh4 from the start menu hoping it would work but after that, it no longer showed up on the start menu as an app. i searched for it in the search bar and even in the full apps menu but it's not popping up. so i want to uninstall and reinstall through powershell but apparently, it exists but i cant access it to remove.

Bro u know after deleting the specific archives and renaming the name of the .exe and blocking the internet for it you should use powershell as admin to install the packages with the comand in each folder... (Game first then dlcs)

i've just follow the steps in the HOW TO START.txt, i didn't do any other settings apart from that. Start the game from windows start menu, this game cannot run by exe.
To install, after you unpack everything, run the command "Add-AppxPackage -Register Path of Base FH4\AppxManifest.xml" in an admin powershell. then after thats done, run the command but replace the path with that of the dlc's. Hope this clears things up

i did everything right i just cant run it for some reason,trust me i followed instructions but still nothing,when i try to open it from start menu,it crashes after one second.
there used to be a way to get FH4 and all xbox game pass games free by abusing the microsoft store on PC. Since the store where you get the games are separate from the xbox app you could keep getting 2 weeks of game pass trial on random alts with a visa card and play on one main Xbox account and keep data. I'm guessing it's because this is a Cracked Game, which doesn't allow any real interactions with Forza-Hub. That's why we have to Block the Game in the Firewall, otherwise it'll crash.

If it says "Version 1903" ur good to go. If it's above, well, then we have to downgrade your version. So do this:
You need to uninstall Windows update named “Feature update to Windows 10 1909 via enablement package”.
You should get back to 1903 after a few restarts.

Everytime I run the game through windows start menu it just pops up and closes for like a second, anyone know what to do?
Solution is delete msvcp140_app.dll and vcruntime140_app.dll it will fix the crashing locations.
I downloaded this files because it says it was missing and wont start and i took it on some website (i forgot). After deleting this game will still run afterwards but with no crashes on map locations.

Have windows 1809 and am up to date (would've thought that updating windows wouldve changed the version but I guess not? either way, someone said it works before 1903 and after 1909)
Downloaded game (specifically torrent), extracted and have the three FH4 folders.
Renamed the .exe and removed the extra .exe in the name
Ran powershell as admin, did (without the 's) 'cd [FH4 folder location]' then 'Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml' - repeated that for the other 2 FH4 folders.
Opened windows firewall, changed under inbound the .exe's properties to blocked (and it wasn't listed under outbound)
Inbound -> new rule -> .exe -> block
Repeat for outbound
Run forza via windows start menu - It will initially show the logo, then just disapear.
Am I missing something?

Guys, if you get this crash - you most likely installed DLLs that the .exe file told you were missing.
Remove these DLLs and you're good to go!

Now here's where things got tricky for me. I go to the base directory for the game to install with powershell, I copied the cmd line from notepad, opened Powershell Command with shift+right click and right clicked the window and it paste the copied command. I hit enter and I get an error. My PC should have no problem running this game, its A Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series gaming laptop and it runs everything I throw at it. So...what am I doing wrong? Why does this have to be so complicated? I shouldn't need to take coarse in programming just to play a game copy

I've done everything that user said and worked, played a bit and haven't got any crash.
- enable developer mode ( settings-update & security- for developers) and rename! delete .exe in Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64........ file, so in this file just remove .exe ending. (this file is in FH4 folder)
- in each folder ( fh4, fh4_fortuneisland, fh4_lego) run powershell ( shift+ right click) - hit enter and than paste the Add-AppxPackage -Register AppxManifest.xml- make sure that you run powershell as administrator
- than in windows defender firewall- block the renamed Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_1.332.904.2_x64........ file. Windows defender firewall- advanced settings-indbound rules-new rule-next-put the renamed file-add fh4 name-finish
*After you finished every step, do not rename the extracted folder(s)- game will crash. Tested :)Do the same in outbound rules and voala the game starts.
If you cant start the game after these steps, than you have to update your windows, because the games works perfectly before 1903 and after the 1909 update.

After starting the game, it crashes during certain racing events. This happened in the Lego DLC. If i start forza 4 normaly i can only choose my first car and after i left my "home" it crashes.

If you still have original files, you could start over and re extract it. That should def work. :)
First check about programs that are open that gives you ingame info about hardware.close it
Second if your game crashes in some zones like it could be in the start is because your c++ are outdated, download the program from the microsoft page. also check if some of the c++ says x86, this is for 32 bits, you need the x64 (64 bits)
Third check if you did with powershell the right steps, ( first you start with the base game (FH4))
Fourth, check drivers of your gpu
The final one, check the whole steps that mr. lootbox gave you.

My solution:
I got my app icon to come back after deleting the old game files and extracting it like new. Then, I found that the DLC was still registered to .xml, but the Main file was not. So once I registered this main directory again, I got the icon back.
Don't forget to:

Delete .exe in the name of executable

Guys, anyone that have a crashing problem when you open it, close any program that gives you info about your hardware, it makes the game crash, for example, rivatuner, msi afterburner, evga precision, etc

But, Once, I installed Avast Antivirus, the game crash during intro.
So deleting avast fix the crash for now.
Other issue I have is that, I can't get stable 60 fps.
My spec is : i5 8400
16GB DDR4
GTX 1070
Playing the game in 1080p.
Is my spec a problem for this game?

As of now, many people may benefit by updating their Windows to Version 1903.
This can be by typing "update" on the Windows search bar.
It could very well help with the 2-second startup Crash bug.

I have a problem where my Forza App will not show up anymore.
I have recently tried to "reset" the app since I thought it may help.
This ended up deleting the start-up feature to open the actual game, even though I still have all the files set up correctly.
I may have to end up reinstalling the entire game, so make sure not to click this "reset" feature in the app's settings for now.

You still don't have Windows 10 update 1903, I thought I had it because I didn't check it properly and when I tried to update it said that there is no updates but if you continue reading there is going to be an option (I don't know why they say first that there is no update) where you can download update 1903.

Previously I installed fh3 and it's totally not running, the game was stuttering

To uninstall the Windows Store open Command Prompt (Must be admin mode)
Enter this code: "Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers"
Then a wall of text will be displayed, scroll up until you find the Windows Store and copy the package full name.
Then put this: "remove-appxpackage" followed by the package name.

Steam had removed support of Windows XP a year ago, if time is to be seen, large possibility that in 2023-2024 Steam will remove Windows 7 support.
Buggy? Yes, especially when newer version numbers introduce additional bugs. Slower over time? Yes. Especially the retpoline update, which is more suited for planned obsolescene. But you can make it stick to 1607 and it can at least play all the current games.
What can I say, keep using it, everything will go smoothly from now on.....

Since the store where you get the games are separate from the xbox app you could keep getting 2 weeks of game pass trial on random alts with a visa card and play on one main Xbox account and keep data.
Sadly im pretty sure microsoft stopped game pass trials. i couldnt figure out how to get trials anymore and neither could my friend who i did this with.
