What a very, very strange game...
It's totally inspired by Indiana Jones, which makes the characters lovable and overall, the setting is very attractive, and it really feels like a proper Indiana Jones game, actually.
Unfortunately, exactly like the old Indiana Jones on Megadrive and Super Nintendo, difficulty is hardcore(even the Steam page says it: "Alienatingly difficult" lol), jumping is inaccurate, gameplay in general is frustrating...
One thing I find EXTREMELY annoying is that there's a delay when you punch, and you have to be insanely precise when you have to punch an enemy... You have to train to get used to that delay, but it just makes the gameplay annoying... Did I mention that you die instantly when an enemy just touch you?
Also, the game has almost no options whatsoever.
You can't even change the music volume...
Can't change resolution or play in windowed mode either.
(The developer says he doesn't know how to do it, unfortunately.)
What a waste, really! I think the atmosphere is pretty cool, and the music totally sounds like an Indiana Jones movie. (Interesting...The developer says "The soundtrack is a public domain recording of Gustav Holst's Planets suite, it pretty much inspired John Williams entire career"...)
Actually, the whole game feels so much like Indiana Jones that they could almost have a lawsuit. lol
Even the character's face(which is actually different from the one you see on this page) looks like Harrison Ford.
If you're ready for hardcore difficulty, I think it's still worth a try, though.
I wish I was a better player, because I can see this game has potential and there's passion in the one-man team who developed this.
