Did you get that error while installing COM Modular Installer (CMI)? Are you sure that you properly installed the R18 patch and the R18 update? Did you apply the R18 patch and update on a fresh install of the base game?
never mind had to research other R18 patch and found one the one u provided doesn't work for this version of the game everybody trying to download nor the update works. The one that works suppose to me 12.8 Gb starting at 9 GB or more and it has both the R18 Patch and the newest update all in one.
Can you please tell me what you use, since the patch wont work on this. I don't know either it's because of this specific game download or the r18 he provided
I just wanted to point out that the international steam version (this version) of the game has a lot less content. The best thing about it are the translations. If you are only interested in the character creation / R18 aspect of the game, I would suggest you instead download the Japanese version. It has more content, but the translations are done by a machine and are imo only good for navigation. I found it really hard to understand dialog.

Important, if you do not know how to use does not copy the "Gamedata" folders. And delete the "Script_en" from the "mod" folder.

I'm asking cause I downloaded it, and on the preset folder I found a preset with the the same name as one of mine from CM3D2 (not COM3D2), and she looks almost exacly like mine but with a few modifications. Another reminder which I forgot to add on my comment about the r18 patch This is an outdated version of the game and as such, there were a lot of crashing, granted I am using a crappy laptop but even then when I played the game on a decent pc before it got busted, it was at times quite laggy Luckily unlike the patch which you have to pay for, you can get the update for free on their website and applying it is just the same as applying said patch, it should fix or at least reduce the crashing and lag
try and look for repacks they are mostly complete, updated, with dlc, and has mods already and are good to go. I would have given you a link but i don't know any COM repacks, all i have is Honey select and Koikatsu repacks tell me when you want them i'll share dem links. Edit: just found a repack of this game ;)

I can't seem to run the game, It doesn't go far beyond the intro of the mansion. More or less the cause is my GPU being way too old because after all its Radeon HD6570. Also a question is there anyone out there using Vega or Polaris cards? If so did this game run properly?

If you had CM3d2 and then got the japanese COM3d2 it can pull all the content, characters, events, etc, from cm3d2 into com3d2. I wish there was a way to just take the translation and apply it to the Japanese version.....

Hard drive killer... and honestly, you won't see most of the additional contents (except dancing and a part of new costumes) until very late stage in the game. If you really wanna play this, get Japanese version instead of Steam version.
You can actually apply JP version DLC and patches to Steam version - according to someone else in this thread - just keep in mind those will be still in Japanese.
sadly even with patch it still mostly censored and so many thing that can get from the real dlc of the 18+ version also missing.............well......i can't break any sweat with this version. time to go back to my diary circuit workout...
this one doesnt have any h-content at all, this is all age version,what u do is customize,chit chat,icha-icha with maid,thats all except there is restoration patch later
VR is optional and is worse to control tbh If you got no VR you don´t miss out on too much, but even if you have VR, it´s only immersive on the karaoke parts imho.
