No never :D but its a personal thing.. for me the index arent so good, its okay but not better then the rift s and the rift costs less then the half of the index :D
The Rift S has the lowest refresh rate of the bunch and has no adjustable IPD. The index has the best controllers in the market and is by far the most comfortable headset. Sure it's more expensive but it is absolutely worth the price. Even for someone with a low budget I wouldn't recommend the rift S since it's basically a bad version of the Odyssey+
as i said, its a personal choice.. I dont need a IPD adjustment and for me the index controller are not as good as the touch controller from the rift. the touch controller are the best vr controller out there i cant see any difference between the refresh rate its not a big deal

Consoles and PC are priced accordingly to the parts inside, what they do and how much manufacturing costs. Games and accessories are overpriced, especially VR accessories. Not indie games though, those are priced accordingly
Do you have some proof on this claim? Because I'm pretty sure that VR costs quite a bit to make and the costs of staff, marketing, etc., etc. are also really high. I'd say that VR is actually priced more accordingly then most gaming tech, but, you know, I also don't have too much proof of that.

Actually, he's saying the food is terrible to other customers who are enjoying their meal. In a restaurant that would certainly get him kicked out, and for good reason. Yes i have. Not only did it make my eyes hurt BIG TIME but it was the exact same experience as playing the game in first person. No different. VR IS a gimmick. A game being VR compatible means nothing, it's just a game cashing in on a gimmick. Like a game being compatible with motion controls, yet another gimmick. Made specific for VR? Few and far between. VR will go the way of motion controls, largely forgotten like every other gaming gimmick

VR is VERY different from a 2D Screen with 1st Person game. The obvious thing is the looking/moving around and feeling imersion being inside the place, which is a huge difference alone. The less obvious one is that it requires a 3D image to make the immersion work. That means each eye has its individual side of the 3D image. Actually seeing a 3D rendered world in 3D looks MUCH more immersive than the same world on a 2D screen.
What you do not understand is that this technology is still quite new. Yes, there have been experiements in the past, but they did not have the technical standards that are needed for the immersion. Things like display resolution, graphic quality of the game, no noticable delay between real movement and virtual view and everything else needed to reach a minimum level to make the immersion work. In my opinion that was reached with oculus and touch, but still has a few generations that will bring improvements. The problem is, again you say "IT IS NOT". Well, for me, friends and million others it just works and while after a year I play less frequently, I still use VR once a week making the 400€ completely worth it, judged by fun time per money. I even watched several 3D movies in a virtual cinema or sometimes pulled up the desktop mode while playing vr and started shitposting with oculus on, not even noticing. Maybe with some improvements in lenses and displays you will also be able to play without your eyes hurting and find joy in it. I do undstand the point that it will never replace a conventional screen and mkb, as I still play CSGO or other games that can not be played in VR. But within VR, this is not just a gimmick. You remind me of when CRT screens were replaced by LCD. Many gamers kept their cubes and would swear that their eyes hurt and they will never play on LCD. It actually was a downgrade in refresh rate. And just see, few years later and some updates on the technology and everyone loves their flat screens.
Motion controls didnt die. Aparently the controller tracking is AWESOME. When I first time got in Oculus, it was not the VR, 3D or Immersion that got my attention. It was the unbelievable precize motion tracking of the controllers. Make it simply seeing the own hands, realistic aim on shooting games or (what still amazes me) the almost realistic feel on eleven table tennis. Look, while wiimotes and whatever experimented with motion tracking, it was not finished. It did track motion but as you know, very not accurately. But now the motion is tracked EXACTLY. Yes, It could still improve or advance in some way, but can never do the jump from wiimotes to oculus touch again.
First the prices are just laughable for a peripheral. No way around that. It's just too expensive. It never even crossed my mind to even consider buying one. I would always opt for hardware upgrades instead. Second i hate being totally cut off from everything, i didnt like it with headsets too. (always wear my headset only on one ear) And to each their own qualifies for everyone, not only for vr users.
and second, vr is hobbies, and is very different thing with display only game, that's why there were VR section in steam. If u not willing to take this hobbies, that's fine, im respect ur opinion. u can't play beat saber on normal display, can't play blade and sorcery with ur own style of slashing, that's vr capabilities only.
