I've confirmed this method working on an oculus rift s, and have unconfirmed reports of it working on the CV1. Extract all of the files and then follow these steps exactly
Copy all of the contents of "\CRACK\Rift Crack" to "_twisted-pixel-games-defector"
Extract "\CRACK\BypassPackVR (other)\Jarvis Bypass Rift Robo Experimental.rar" to "_twisted-pixel-games-defector"
Find "\CRACK\BypassPackVR (other)\LibOVRPlatform64_1" and move 'LibOVRPlatform64_1.dll' to "_twisted-pixel-games-defector"
Use the file Launch on Rift.bat to start the game, and dragging DFCTR.exe onto ReviveInjector_x64 works too.
I successfully completed the game on my Oculus Quest 2 using SteamVR + Revive (tested on versions 3.2.0 and 1.9.2) + Air link / Virtual desktop (both work fine). I began the game on RTX 2080 super and finished it on RTX 4080.
0). Ofcourse you need installed SteamVR and Revive.
Unpack content of "referenced" folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\your id\ugc\referenced
Unpack content of "Revive" folder to C:\Users\your user\AppData\Local\Revive
3). Before launching the game completely close SteamVR and Steam. It is important.
4). Launch Air link or Virtual Desktop > show your PC's desktop > on desktop open "Launch defector.bat" file.
If in the Virtual Desktop after you launched the game it's window opened in flat mode, open menu of Virtual Desktop and select "Switch to VR".
If the game crashes after the globe intro, check that you have Revive installed.
If you get 'Error loading action manifest', check that you have Revive installed and have correct input files in C:\Users\your user\AppData\Local\Revive\Input\
5). When you will be asked for Please stand comfortably and click in both Thumbsticks to reset your view open SteamVR menu > controls > choose correct input scheme (there will be one for Revive v3.x and one for v1.9.2) > then edit selected scheme to go into compatibility menu > choose any headset compatibility mode and after that revert it back to None > disable controls mirroring > close controls setup menu to back into the game > press two sticks.
FYI. After every launch of the game you need to choose compatibility mode and revert it back to pass through RESET VIEW screen. Also after every launch you need to disable controls mirroring to have controls correctly working.
By the way nod works fine without any additional tricks. The only thing I didn't get is how to fix jittering, but it is not so heavy in the game, so the game is completable.
Also if you face any issues, you can try to grab LibRevive64.dll, openvr_api64.dll from C:\Program Files\Revive and copy them to Defector's folder (accept overwriting), then make a duplicate of LibRevive64.dll and rename to LibRevive64_1.dll (delete current dll before renaming that one).

If you're on WMR and getting stuck on 'hold both thumbstick buttons down' then rebind in steamvr the dpad with the dpad button taking the place of thumbstick click....

Well this is TERRIBLE! WTF guys?? I have Downloaded & applied cracks to games for over 15 years but this is a MESS! There are sooooo MANY Cracks wtf! Besides that now you have a note above of a "Crack Fixed for Vive and WMR" again with NO INSTRUCTION & that link downloads some program Ive never heard of before & NOBODY has any idea how to use it either! its simple u download all the parts ie if 10 parts download p1 - p10 then when all parts downloaded click on part 1 then double clik the iso, exe or setup file to install, u might wana install a virtual drive also as you extract to that programme and install that way (some games wil only run this way)

It works. You're probably just doing it wrong. Make sure you used the right crack and that the Oculus app is running. Also make sure that your Oculus services (services.msc) are all running.

I have revive, and the crack seems to work but I cant push down the thumbsticks to progress. In steamvr it does not show my personal saved bindings so I cant set them.
Go to your Dashboard > Settings > Controller Bindings > Click on Defector on the right (It has to be running) > change the bindings > click "save bindings" at the bottom. Done!
I am also having this problem with my index. I am getting the error "the action manifest for system.generated.defector.exe was not found". Do you have any idea how to fix?
Well, I've already finsihed the game (kinda), so I don't have the files anymore. I think it could be: a) Your files are corrupt or your AntiVirus deleted them. b) You cracked the game incorectly. c) It doesn't work on your particular system. It's hard to say.
Hmm, are you sure it's your Index that's the problem? Because I'm pretty sure that it shouldn't matter too much which SteamVR headset you have. Well, I wish you good luck with trying to fix it!
Isn't it done from the Steam Dashboard? Other than that, you could dig through the files. If you look on Google for the bindings-files location, you could probably fix it!

Where did you see that? It's a software used to bypass game protection, usually used for cheats in games, but in this case it works as a crack for this game.
The code used to make cracks is very similiar to code used in malware and other various viruses. That's why many antivirus softwares can mistake them. If you're really afraid, then either Google it, or just buy the game. Trust me, I was skeptical as well.

I installed Revive but the game is not showing up in the Revive Overlay. How do you launch the game using Revive? I used the papacarrot crack but can't get past the "press 2 thumbsticks" part.
use the papacarrot crack dont listen to the others. load up the game if u cant press the thumbsticks go into the steam controller settings (i have rift s so i press the left home button) and configure the button, it will say every button does not have a bind

I'm getting motion sickness from the jitteryness or laggy-ness that is somewhat similar to the Robo Recall game. The jitteryness happens every few seconds whereas the other game is 100% unplayable because of the lag. Is there a solution to this?
if you're experiencing crashes where the game just turns off make sure you run the app with integrated graphics processor you can do this by right clicking on the app

It works in oculus rift S with crack papaCarrot, paste dll that is in Defector.Oculus \ CRACK \ BypassPackVR (other) \ LibOVRPlatform64_1, in the folder of the game where is the .exe, then paste the content of the crack papaCarrot also in the Game folder, start .exe dragging to launch.bat, and play, this is what worked for me, recognizes the commands as the cv1, but works perfectly. installing steam should not cause a problem, then install steamvr, then following the steps I describe should work without problems, it works for me and I am enjoying the title

It should, in my case the game works perfectly and it starts after the bathroom scene, maybe you've put the save in a wrong directory, You've to put it here C:\Users\ (Your Username) \AppData\LocalLow\Twisted Pixel\DFCTR

You should've the dll in Defector.Oculus\CRACK\BypassPackVR (other)\LibOVRPlatform64_1. You just have to drag the dll to the main directory of the game (where the .exe is) Then the game should work
i did that many times i'm looking for a dll named LibOVRP2P64_1.dll cuz it seems to be missing. i downloaded the torrent, the file may be missing from there. i'll try the normal 3 files wait am i suppose to have revive installed

You've to use revive to play this game, it's the only way, if revive doesn't work for you try the crack above that should make the game work, if you have any issues reply me
It works! I'm using Vive pro and with PapaCarrot's crack I could play fine, just download it and extract it in the game main directory and run the .bat
But you gotta have a savegame because there's a part where you've to nod you head and basically the game doesn't recognize the movement, ask PapaCarrot for the save, he sent me one via mail

With WMR it works with the crack of PapaCarrot....until it tells you to nod your head, and you just can't. Still good work PapaCarrot, but can't go further 1mn of boring gameplay actually.
you have to take the link from gabgster in the comments download the file extract it move everything in the folder to twisted-pixel-games-defector and run Xenos as admin and it should work

Yeah, I checked that right away. Nothing was deleted. Even weirder thing is that when I add that .dll file, the error for that file stops, but another similar error shows up "LibOVRP2P64_1.dll was not found"
I've tried the fix that you posted on that other website for the vive, but I'm getting "LibOVRPlatform64_1.dll was not found" error. I've tried copying the file from the CRACK folder but it didn't help at all. The error doesn't show up when I run the bat file as an administrator but the game doesn't launch.
I try to drag my game to ReviveInjector but nothing happens, the console opens and closes, and when I try to launch the launch on rift as administrator, an error message appears where it says that my ReviveInject_x64 file was not found
