WMR is probably the worst one of the 4 major HDM's on the market compared to the Vive, Rift and Index, since many games lack support for it. You can buy a used Oculus Rift in good condition for around 200-300 now.

Wha- yes? You need driver4vr and riftcat, Driver4VR has a setting for Switch controllers to mock VR controllers and you can use an android phone with RiftCat

You can buy new controllers by themselves for $70 or a Kinect for hand tracking and controller emulation for $40, but Switch controllers track better
