This game is... actually pretty cool. It's clear it's been made without the best tools and without lots of experience or technical know-how... but it's pretty well done despite that all. While it's quite straightforward and short (about 1-3 hours), the design of the world is quite brilliant: there's a single, fully explorable map, that slowly allows you to move more and more around it. In a way it's reminiscent of Dark Souls 1 and its main area, but in practice I'd say it works even better, as by the end you're blazing through areas old and new and it feels like it's all part of a somewhat cohesive world.
The enemy design, the progression, the challenges, the bosses, everything is pretty simple, but it's well done. Save for a few annoyances and rough edges, it works perfectly and helps the game through its simplicity, instead of hurting it. I'm someone who enjoys deep and complex games, where a single enemy has lots of intertwining mechanics that play into defeating it, but here, having enemies with one or two mechanics and simple patterns works far better than any attempt at complexity would. Even bosses follow this, being about as complex as your average Super Mario boss, but again this plays into the game's favor.
I enjoyed how the story was told through small collectible diaries often scattered in hard to reach areas, that were also sort of self aware without breaking the fourth wall. And the overall narrative of the game felt interesting and well enough executed, making good use of the tropes of the genre while also adding somewhat new or unusual elements into it.
Perhaps to a more average player, someone not interested in games beyond the hobby of playing them or someone completely unfamiliar with older generations of games, this won't be as interesting, but if you don't think you fall into either of those categories, or you're willing to expand your interests, do give this a shot. It's worth the time, and probably the money if it goes on a good sale.

In the past, users reported problems installing games from that group, since then we prefer to make things easier for everyone.
We know that not everyone is in agreement with removing the installer, but that prevents installation problems for a part of the public.
We really regret the inconveniences, but it is for the common good.
