Its a shame there are more vr "experiences" and cheap mini games than there are substantial games lol. I pretty much just use just it for Elite now lol
That's not really true anymore. Pavlov, Onward/Contractors, Beat Saber, Skyrim VR, then everything from ultrawings to Final assault. There are a lot of VR games and a lot more coming.
PS: i came here because there can be missunderstanding with "shameful vr game". Like there are some really good vr games but there are also a lot of shameful ones that are just shitty games with VR enabled to make quick money in this "new" sector.
Wait for Black Friday and pick up an Samsung Oddesey+ or a rift. Or maybe just a used one. I’m about to get an index in August to replace my Vive so I can’t wait.
i got a standard rift last black friday and it was totally worth it. Just the time and fun to get used to vr and try out everything and then play the games you love on it is totally worth it. Maybe show it to friends and family (its absolutely funny to watch that lol). So the price was worth the fun and time playing. At the moment I am using it to watch 3D movies at home, but since the large vr movie theatre screen and 3d effect are perfect, when focussing the film the pixels/low-res are very visible. Looking forward to keep this one for some more time as it is just enough to have the full experience of vr and have support or at least workarounds in the future. Maybe in 1-2 generations (implying quality of the valve index is the current gen) I will get a new one and have a new small sensation and the feel it was worth upgrading.
Depends. DeoVR for best only Video thing. Video can be zoomed and rotated if you lean back or lie down or whatever. Has all functikns yiu would expect from a video player. Bigscreen if I sit and feel like a virtual cinema would be nice. It appears to be multiplayer experience but obv also works private. Just run the movie on your desktop and hit the 3D Buttons. Best thing to do if youre going to do it is get a rift or a vive or even a quest and play VR like its meant to be played. And yes Pavlov is probably the most amazing shooter in VR right now.
