The game keeps crashing for me on start-up. I haven't cracked the game, but I didn't think I needed to (Using Quest 2 btw). Do I have to crack the game or not? How I fix?
ok guys here's the deal: if you have an oculus you only have to download the game then download "crack only" file since this doesn't have the crack. then you copy the contents of the crack into the main folder then delete the vive titled ones. to start the game you turn on steam vr then click the vader immortal.bat file. it should work when you get the "controllers not working" prompt just pull the triggers it will go away. now if you dont have a rift, well you SOL because this is an oculus exclusive, wtf did you expect? no but seriously some ppl have got the vive version working i dont own a vive so i cant help you will need to read below and yes (gasp!) actually read comments and(dramatic music) troubleshoot! don't worry I'm told troubleshooting free videogames does not inflict permanent damage to you lazy gamer organ. however you might want to smoke a joint and fap off to some 3d porn just in case you begin to notice dramatic increases to you intelligence or work ethics.
You can play without the crack on an old version of Revive, I got it to work on Revive version 1.7.3. No visual stutter on high graphics settings. However, the game (or the Revive version) does not recognize Index controllers.
I got as far as getting the game to tell me to return to my playspace, then crash to desktop and that was bypassing the attempt at the crack using its own, old revive versions. I've been tweaking it the crack application and trying to get it to work but that's as far as I got. I have an Index. EDIT: I got the game working by using the crack's "vive/wmr bypass", but it is still shitty as it runs on an old version of Revive that does not recognize Index controllers and has stutter effects on High graphics quality. The crack is generally shit for relying on Revive, rather than just removing the copy protection so a modern version of Revive can run it.
Cant download crack in any way, shape or form, Chrome stops me from doing it, 7 zip stops me from extracting it and windows stops me from even having the file on my computer even with all security measures off
Hi , Im getting error on start (action manifest is missing) C:\Users\AppData\Local(i couldnt read this folder, the button was covering it could be "Revive" i think)\Input\action_manifest.json how do i get passed that ?? could anyone with samsung odessy or wmr in general who manage to get his game to work to share that with me ? i have oculus installed as well as revive 2.1.0 I've also downloaded the crack and extracted both folders in the WKND folder of the package.

hoow ???????? I got it to work one time and kept saying action_Manifest.json was missing , nothing worked with it so I've decided to delete it and unpack the entire game again with the crack but now it's not working at all .. it starts for 2 sec and closes just like everyone else.
Download Revive latest version copy over the usual files x64 x86 to vader folder then run wmr then steam vr then run from revive inject the .exe. let me know how you go. Not at my computer to give more details sorry.
it Works with WMR and Lenovo Explorer. You have to extract the CRACK (both files), open Steam Vr, and drop the .EXE on the injectx64, if it closes the game, try again. Hmm... the game launches in vr for me just dragging file into revive injector. However, I get error that says it can not find the input action_manifest.json. I opened the file and realize windows mixed reality is not one of the controller_type. Can I let the system somehow treat my samsung odyssey controller as vive controller? ANd is the odyssey controller different from vive controller?
On a Valve Index: Launching with the .exe or normal Revive injector cause the game to close after a few seconds. Launching with the included revive (via the "Launch on Vive.bat" file) actually start the game and I can move around and see my hands. The visual are flickering until you go in the option menu and set it to low quality, then it becomes clear. Problem is, the inputs are not mapped. Key binding in Steam VR tells me is empty and there's no default. Any help?
Copy the Revive/revive/64 files INTO WKND/Binaries\Win64 Thats because the revive version of the crack is old and i guess index controller were not emulated plus you have better performance on new version

They made a vr title, whats the problem with that? A lot of people have vr now adays and they made a game that works in VR. I understand that you don't own one, and thats fine. There are tons of non-VR titles out there.

Be sure to turn off any AV currently running (especially Windows 10 built-in AV) Now as for the game, i have been gaming for 30 years and apart for graphics, this game has nothing! Short story, crappy mechanics. Absolute shit of a game which not only doesnt worth your money but is a total waste of data and bandwidth. Is this what the world of gaming is turning to? Shell of a real game that we will never get to see only because its easier to create a demo and sell it for half the price of a full game? Also the real gensius is the dev who said "lets make part 2, but with only 1 level and sell it for the same price as part 1!" Bottom line, go play something else. There are many good titles out there that will make you feel that the VR platform is a bit more than a sum of short experiences.
hi Guys, For HTC Vive I found the solution for the controllers not detected > after you crack the game, Download the last Revive version and then patch the exe in > WKND/binairies/Win64/WKND-Win64-Shipping.exe . Then launch on vive.bat and this should work. At least it works for me, enjoy !

Doesn't work on Vive. Vive crack alone doesn't work. When I copy both Oculus and Vive cracks in the game folder and start Vive episode 1, I can start the game but it doesn't recognize my HMD and I can't get past the intro. Anybody have a link to a working crack for Vive?

It works for me :/ Start the game, then turn off your controllers and turn them on again. That worked for me! Make sure you used the Vive crack and ran it through the .bat file (Like described in my steps below).
There is no .bat file called "Launch on Vive/Oculus", there is one called "Vader Immortal Ep1 (Rift).bat" and running it just seems to cause the crash.
It seems like you are either extracting the wrong files, or your antivirus is deleting them. Make sure to turn it off before extracting. I hope you can somehow fix it, because it worked for me. Good luck!
Its definitely not an antivirus, there is a file called "Launch on Vive.bat" which is in the Vive-WMR Bypass folder, but there is no equivalent for oculus.
Make sure you are opening the right file. There are 2 files called "Win64", one of them located in the "Engine" folder (That's the wrong one) and the second in ...\ilmxlab-vader-immortal-episode-1\WKND\Binaries\Win64 (That's the right one) You should see the .bat file now. If not, maybe try to extract it again with your antivirus turned off?

Is the file size less than 5 MB? Did you get the file directly, or have you used an exe? If the answer to any of the questions is yes, you downloaded an ad. Please try downloading the files again and make sure you get the correct ones.

Actually most of us used cracks. =) Doesn't work as it just loads and then crashes. I have tried every crack from Revive, Jarvis and many others. The new crack does work which is awesome. The other cracks did have issues with crashing though.
I tried to play screen loads it turns black then a second later it closes and that's it! What a terrible game! LOL! Seriously I hope they can fix the game crashing!

With all due respect, it's not so simple, Rob. Oculus has exclusives which only work with their headsets; that's the case for this game. We had this problem in the past, and Vive users needed to use ReVive to run these games. But usually, we need to wait for a ReVive update, as the Oculus guys try to make it more difficult every time they release an exlusive game.

Start the game, then turn off your controllers and turn them on again. That worked for me!
Make sure you used the Vive crack and ran it through the .bat file (Like described in my steps below).
For Vive and for Rift, so make sure to choose the one you have)
