I cant understand it, why they import this Game to another Engine, using the PS4 Version etc.. I mean, take Libra of the Vampire Princess as an Example, i bought it from Steam because i didnt had a Credit Card at that Time to buy it from MangaGamer or other Sides, but i found a Side where you could buy Libra of the Vampire Princess official from Steam + an 18+ Patch for 2 or 3 Euro. I also saw a lot of Games that you can buy as All Ages Version from Steam or 18+ from sides like MangaGamer and such. People in Europa and America already have a Hard Time since so few VNs get really translated and to learn Japanese isnt easy ( i want to learn it, but im still a bit hesitant) If they start more and more with this Bullsh.. and give only butchered versions of there Games out for Translation, they really Shoot themself in there own Foots. Its almost like they sell you a Car build in License in Europa or America, but then they say to you that it comes without the Engine.

Don't expect any +18 patch anytime soon, they are using SWITCH port which is a redone version of the game, and created licensing issues with the VA's. So if we get a patch it won't be for quite some time if at all.

Here is an update on censorship: I looked now into the JP release. It's a totally different engine. According to several sources they ported the game to "Kirikiri" engine for the ENG release, but the JP release was in some other engine. And that means that whoever (if anyone ever willing and decides to) picks up the H-scenes restoration project would have to do a lot of work on the technical side of things (if they want to combine the release into the most complete one). So yeah, now that I discovered this, I think H-scenes restoration project is even less likely. There is only a CG patch which removes light rays so ecchi all you can get, other than nothing ever will come out. This game will stay butchered and dead.
It is true, there's an Anon on 4Chan that is already porting this TL to the uncensored PC version. Once he is done with that, literally the only thing left (according to him) would be the translation of the H-Scenes themselves, and that would be it. This Swim_Swim dude is just being overly melodramatic with all this, since that Anon said that the engine work itself ended up being more simple than he thought (just that it's kind of time consuming).
i don't think the guy being overly dramatic, just lack of insight, what that guy saying is moving the H scene from Jp version to english version, this involve the same process as if you port entire game to new engine (just less work) what the anon do is porting the text from En version to Jp version, extracting the text itself is not hard, the hard part is syncing the line from en script to jp script which need careful check, but really, this is what fanstranslator normally do anyway, so beside the extracting from different engine part, this is just usual stuff
Based on 4chan post they don't have an actual translator anymore but are looking for one. They are pretty much just doing all the tech work(hacking and text insertion). It sound like they'll just use a machine translator(probably google auto-translator). I did asked one guy involved in and said if they have to do translation then the project could take 6 months in best case scenario. So if we are lucky, we can play this game on Christmas, if all goes according to plan... This is the so called overreacting as said by Fruitbat's shill.

Yes it cannot be made, since PC never had an all ages version to begin with. In japan this game was always 18+ only, it was so popular that they made a different all ages version for CONSOLES. The release for West is based on the CONSOLE VERSION,also this version has an additional scenes that's unique to this version, it would be really difficult to make a patch for this since its different from the ORIGINAL 18+ version on PC.
I heard that the chans might be working on a translation patch. Someone should recommend that to them, at least. Gives them less they have to directly translate (though they can of course compare to the original and tweak wording, it's always easier when you have something to compare to in both languages).

i actually agree. having a story while you cut some of the scene really destroy the immersion. theres alot of butched eroge out there and i've tried them and i dont even have the will to continue reading. except if you like all ages but this is an 'Eroge' designed for people who want 18+ content.
I red in several reviews that censorship is especially bad in this case, made the game a bit confusing at times as the bed scenes never happened, and suddenly the characters were talking about it. Abrupt changes from scene to scene, where you're left to try and piece things together later, are rather annoying
Yeah. that happen to me and it really butchered the aspect of a "Novel" because you didnt see it happen so its like they cut the plot and forces you to understand it even when you dont even know what they're talking about. and Eroge is a Romance game so the character development is totally killed.

While I agree it's stupid it's been common practice to butcher the good stuff out of VNs so they can sell "All Ages" versions for decades. They have been doing it since the 90s in Japan to release console/handheld versions because Sony and Nintendo are ass when it comes to censorship (this is literally a port of the game's censored Japanese PlayStation version). It depends on what kind of story it is. It's focused on the story and developments? Then H is just filler for sales. In these kinds of VN, H-scenes feel like a bother by the time you finally get to them, since it feels like they ruin the atmosphere. It's more of a common romcom? Then probably the H is the selling point yes, since there is like no substance to the overall picture. By the looks of it, this might be the latter but I need to see a little bit of it at least to figure out.
Actually, Fruitbat Factory are not the ones who translated this, it was the company of the VN itself who did it, long before Fruitbat was even involved. Fruitbat only checked some things in QA or some shit like that (and are publishers, of course), the decision of using the Switch version was not theirs this time around, but the reason is dumb as fuck nonetheless (licensing VA bullshit). I will not deny that they "hate Eroge" and all that, but comparing them to the clusterfucks that Moenovel have been doing lately is a bit much, imo. Some CGs have white bars around the juicy parts, the sex scenes got completely removed from the game, so the censorship is comparable to Moenovel. Its even worse, since its based on console, even oppai is censored with lights and according what I heard Steam version has the same censorship. Just to give u an example So no, you wouldnt even get skin with the console port.
