Word of advice, make sure your controller stays connected while playing this. If it ever disconnects, the game will hard lock and offer no options to use your keyboard, and may not recognize your controller after reconnecting it, essentially crashing the game. I've tried various solutions, and none of them worked aside from just not letting my controller disconnect. Just a fair warning. Other than that hilariously bad design oversight the game is an easy 9/10, maybe more. And if there is a fix for this, definitely let me know!
that doesnt happen to me using a NATIVE windows controller (xbox), if i disconnect it a symbol of the controller appears with a red cross saying i disconected it........

I downloaded it from the codex but trying to run the game just brings me to steam. what's going on? Even when disconnected from the internet it tries to bring me to the game's store page? noone seems to be having this issue so i assume the game is already cracked but if it isn't wheres the link to the crack?

i suppose that if part1 and 2 has the randomizer dlc who are the current update, you dont need to download the update v1.04 sometimes igg should remove the update links so people wont get confused and waste time downloading outdated patches

hi, i run a fairly low end pc and have an issue where i cant change the resolution of the game. im looking for the save file location on my pc so i can manually alter the the resolution there if anyone can help me out anything is appreciated. its not in the bloodstainedRotN file.
ok so if you are having the problem where you cant change the resolution in game or the voices are glitched and distorted or the game is laggy. here is what i did that solved the issues for me. copy and paste %LOCALAPPDATA% in the file pathfinder in your file explorer from there go to bloodstainedrotn/saved/config/windowsnoeditor from there open gameusersettings with notepad then change both (make a copy of gameusersettings before you edit it just in case) ResolutionSizeX=1280 ResolutionSizeY=720 and LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=1280 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=720 to your desired resolution eg. ResolutionSizeX=1280 ResolutionSizeY=720 to this ResolutionSizeX=1024 ResolutionSizeY=576 then just save the document and load up the game. i hope this helps. also i would imagine this would work too if you want to enhance the resolution as well.
If voices are glitched and distorted, that's because your video card is drawing so much energy that it's causing interference with your sound card, FYI.
God damn, I can finally play this again. For those that encounter that black screen error (graphics driver crash), all you need to do is lower your visual settings to the lowest. Apparently this just happens to outdated grahpics cards (or pcs, idk). So I guess It's time for me to upgrade to avoid shit like this in the future.
I know this is an old post but do you know how to get this to work for ps4 controllers? I have my controller configured on steam and added the game as a non steam game, but it still doesn't recognize the controller
once you extract the file you would see that there would be files there for setup but there should also be a folder there that says crack copy all the files inside the crack folder to where you installed the game and replace the files or in some cases if the installer has the option of copying the crack files you can just check that option hope you understood me.
Yes, you need both parts You see the CODEX folder? You need to transfer it's content to the folder where you installed the game, just drag, drop and replace everything
This Game is amazing, truly like old school castlevania and metriod had a baby. BOOM Bloodstained. This game is nothing short of Epic. I highly recommend supporting the authors as i am about to fo sho.
So I just downloaded the game and I am not sure what to do after. Normally I would just mount the disk on daemon tools. But on daemon tools it just opens another folder with a another disk and when i click it, it says that its mounting and after a bit it says unknown error .87. I am not too sure how to actually get the game after downloading it.
install 7zip. open the first file with it, then drag the iso from the zip into a place on your computer. Then you can mount and install the game. Don't forget to the either click the "put crack into install folder" in the installer, or to do it manually.
Ok so I was able to download it and extract it but whenever i try to open the game after I ran the set up it keeps taking me to steam. I know that you need to crack it. I tried copying the stuff from the codex and putting it in the game folder but it still does not work. I dont know if im missing something but I am very confused.
Freaking love you dude! It worked! However I am having another problem. I am using a laptop and am going with the keyboard and mouse controls. The thing is right at the tutorial i am stuck at this door where I need to use directional shard control. In my option its bounded to my middle mouse button. I tried holding it, moving it side to side, scrolling it, and nothing worked. I tried bounding it to other keys and that didnt work either. I dont have a controller, so how in the world should I use directional shard control?
DS3 and DS4 crashes my PC. installed another controller program that ALSO crashes it, now my mouse stopped working because the last program overwrote the USB drivers. btw ONE time pc didnt crash with DS4 but the game didnt react to any controller button anyway!!! wiping the USB drivers and re-installing my mouse doesnt work for some reason, so no mouse anymore.....but the game works fine....cant go through the very first door because the controls demand analogue sticks which my keyboard doesnt have though....gg
Have you tried using steam: add non steam game, make sure "run program as admin" is off on the executable, have big picture controller options on and run it from steam normally (not in big picture) ? I learned about using this for all my cracked games with my switch controller so I don't have to use an emulator any more and it works fine with this game

Does this game work without a joystick? To put your arms out you roll around with 'R'. I dont have that button/key on a keyboard, and you can't change the controls for putting your arms out. How did you guys do it?
Does anyone have a sound glitch during the final boss fight? It starts producing a static sound all throughout the final fight and during the ending sequence. It only stops when the end credits start rolling.

The majority of these games come with a folder named after the scene group in charge of making this possible. The process of copying the content of such folder and pasting it inside the installation folder is what we know as "applying a crack".

Unreal games usually function the same way with screenshots. Alt+Tab out of the game, go back into the game and Print Screen. This will copy the screen when you Alt+Tabbed out of the game. You may get a stretched image, depending on your resolution.
I seem to have encountered a roadblock, but I'm not sure if it's the game or just my pc, although I think it's probably the latter. My game crashes everytime I enter a room in the Oriental Sorcery Lab (taking the upper left entrance in the map where the tengu's face is located). To be more specific, I get a black screen and a "nvidia's driver card has crashed and recovered" message, so I'm guessing the problem has something to do with my pc? I see some people had a similar problem so I'll try reinstalling the game and getting it from gog, but if that doesn't work then I guess I'll just jump out my window because I really don't want all those hours I spent griding for materials to go to waste.
if you have the GOG version, try to update the game (to 1.05) and update everything else (gpu drivers, vc redist, directX, etc). I have the GOG version and works flawlessly

the kung fu boots technique (down,forward, attack) can be used in midair and repeated three times, can be used to clear bigger gaps before getting double jump or high jump, etc. you can INFINITELY do the kick by, down forward attack, backdash (quickly), down forward attack, repeat. if you're REALLY good at timing you can JUMP in mid-kick, i can't do this consistently it's really really hard to do D F attack, (during kick animation!!) backdash, then (this has to be done SUPER fast) directional shard, attack, jump, if done correctly you'll jump again in midair (without double jump) i stress SUPER FAST like all that in like less than a half second this can be done multiple times, with enough skill you don't even need double jump or high jump, I was able to get to gebel fight without double jump, reflect ray or the giant hand btw current new game normal speedrun is 36 minutes, pure insanity of glitches and infinite jumps
also, invest in directional shield, it can nullify ALL damage while it's up, really REALLY helpful on boss fights. unless you're like me and stock up on like 5 hi potions and crapton of food, it'll save you time AND money
heretical grinder breaks the game balance so much combine with welcome company, oof, what enemies? gone through entire game on normal with those and even new game plus game i'm still using those cause there are very few good alternatives stack up on MP recovery early! (make and consume different drink items for a one-time permanent mp recovery buff) ignore all the "healing" crystals they are NOT worth the effort for the little healing they give, literally won't save your ass on any boss believe me, better off with words of wisdom for reduced mp costs, or whatever weapon expertise you wish to use. and buy potions and/or food, seafood stew is a good food item to heal don't ignore the townspeople quests they can give you useful stuff, or at least help you make better gear or food for yourself (everything you craft can be bought in shop) for your massive gold grind, MAX OUT AUGMENT GOLD ASAP, any passive shard that hits RANK 9 becomes a permanent (ON/OFF) shard, it stacks on top of the actual passive shard, so augment gold x2, you start getting 1000,2000g gold drops from all enemies and breakable objects if you need gold (the material) the underwater horses drop ayamur, which can be dismantled to 1 piece of gold each if anyone thinks thats a lot of work for that, consider i got 100,000G within 20 minutes of just killing bats and candles back and forth.
I installed the game succesfully but it does not run. I tried running the .exe on the main folder and then I tried running it as an administrator. Am I doing something wrong?

Update directX, VC redist and your gpu drivers. Turn off your anti virus and reinstall the game, then move the crack (codex version) manually to your game folder installation. Open the game as administrator. I downloades both and the codex (for me at least) has the black screen issue. The GOG version forme works just great (1.05 + DLC) I really like to give you the link for the gog version i use, but maybe i get ban.
I got the setup done, codex files in my installdir and when I try to play the exe I get a "Bloodstained-Win64-Shipping.exe - system error And then the "X3DAudio1_7.dll" is missing. I reinstalled twice and get the same message.
Hey, thanks for responding. I don't have backslash in my game directory path. I don't actually get the IsDOne.dll error, my game runs perfectly fine before I exit the first room, because after that my screen went blank and the game crashed. I have seen many people having this problem, even the one that actually bought the game.

The controller is detected. I found it in Human Interface Devices as HID-compliant game controller. I updated the driver in properties, says the driver is up to date.
I tried to uninstall the controller driver. Then restarted the PC.
I tried running with and without x360ce emulator.
I tried running Bloodstained before x360ce emulator, and vice-versa.
I tried pressing the controller buttons without touching the keyboard. I can't think of any other solution.

Nop, again it´s not my firts rodeo. I know the diferences between Steam and GOG...that´s the other side of the problem, why in the name of the god of cracks they decide to use the DRM protected game instead of the DRM free ? not only works flawless, also has the latest updates and DLC. For now i think the GOG version it´s the best version for this game...errors free, last update and dlc. I know some problems maybe caused due missing files, antivirus, humans, etc but i installed this game 3 times and i have updated everything and checked all the files looking for a problem. The balck screen issue strikes again every time. I like the codex releases but sometimes the RCCB attacks. Crack a game is not easy and some mistakes are normal.

The problem is the CRACK. I´m not a noob trying to install a cracked game for the first time. The real issue is for some people the crack works, and for others don´t. I call it RCCB (random codex crack bullshit). Some times these crack works and for other just don´t. Personally the codex crack works just fine for me but sometimes just don´t. Right now i have installed the GOG Bloodstained updated to 1.05 plus the DLC and works flawless.
The issue is not the crack. If the issue was the crack then EVERYONE would have problems with the game and that's not the case. thos who are having problems with the game either did something wrong or are missing something on their machines(Drivers or something like that). This "Random codex crack bullshit" that you speak off always comes down to USER ERROR or INCOMPATIBLE MACHINES that are missing something, NOT the crack
Nop, the codex games usually works for me just fine but ,if the game has an issue like the random black screen, it´s because an unstabble crack. Again the crack works randomly . Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.
You downloaded an ad... We do not handle exe files, each download is a rar file, only 2014 games still have a password, that was discontinued a long time ago... To answer your questions, igg does all the uploads and updates not the mods, And in order to get a game updated, You have to make a request. How long it takes for a game to update depends on how many people request for it, But it usually updates as long as at least one person asks for it. On the other hand if nobody requests an update for a game, Then igg will judge that it's unnecessary to update, If no one plays or cares. As to posting DLCs, It's strictly unallowed, Unless you're in the "Trusted list". If you saw someone posting DLCs and didn't get their posts deleted, It means, Either they're on the trusted list, Or we actually didn't see it and they got away with it. hahhah At least, That's what i know, I'll have to talk it out with the headmaster Gangster when i get the chance.
completed the game (on PS4) on normal, pretty damn good game here's some recommended setups that I used and random info flame cannon (start of game on boat): you can EASILY get this to rank 7 at the start of the game, get 6 gunpower from shop and alchemize it to rank 7, it shoots 4 shots of fire in front of you for only 15mp a shot, can be spammed throughout the map. jump+fire to keep using it rapidly heretical grinder (blood grinder knights): damages really fast, higher ranks make a bigger sword come out, be aware it drains MP FAST, best used with MP reduction shard poltergeist (floating painting enemies): bunch of paintings spin around you, higher ranks give you more paintings at once, good for running through enemies without stopping plunder's ring + plunder's ring (two of them) + alchemic bounty shard gives you a huge item drop boost, put on luck boosting gear on top of that to help with annoying drop rates. finishing all of Susie's (the old lady in shop) quests gives you a hat that makes ammo not get consumed, very VERY useful if you like guns carabosse (familiar, enemy in silent garden) can point out hidden walls for you black pepper is found in chests secret underground lab (the one after the train) both blue chests have a chance to drop it, respawn by teleporting somewhere else and coming back again. soy sauce is found in oriental lab, teleport there then room to right of teleporter in top right corner (use invert or dimension swap) this is the ONLY chest that drops soy sauce in the game, no enemies drop it flying beef (so so SO grindy be warned) oriential lab flying cow looking enemy drops at 1% CHANCE, two plunder's ring and alchemic bounty help speed this up, and as much luck as possible FOOD GIVES PERMANENT STAT INCREASES THE FIRST TIME IT'S CONSUMED the various drinks you can make ali buff your MP recovery permanently and last but not least, once a PASSIVE shard reaches rank 9(or grade 9 also?) it becomes a permanent shard you can switch on/off
For those looking for a fix for the black screen problem or any other problem with the game, the cause is the "#$%$% crack. I downloaded this (codex) version and the GOG version and the codex works like shit. I recommend searching for the GOG version that works great.
Is there a video on how to install this correctly because I have Daemon and tried starting the set-up and then copying the files from CODEX into the game location but when i start the application it just opens the steam store page.
pc specs must be higher than minimum requirement, and also your tv resolution must be exact 720p or 1080p, in between that its not gonna work, if you have resolution other than that, you have to set it manually on the appdata folder bloodstained rotn configuser , edit fullscreen to 0 and edit the resolution to 720p or 1080p
Sounds like your computer might not be strong enough to run the game. Turn off everything you can, and turn down settings to as low as you can. Shut down programs that are running that aren't the game, and shut down your windows manager as well (this disables Aero, which uses a rather large amount of resources; look up how to do so).
Then it's no the voice changer item either, that just makes her voice go high pitched. No idea what it could be then since i didn't come across that issue

I don't remember the exact location, it was in a treasure chest. It's a piece of equipment that looks like a mask that goes over your mouth, like a small gas mask, but it's pink. When equipped, Miram's voice goes all high pitched, even in cutscenes. I think, and again THINK, that it's down in the caverns with all the Shovel Knight enemies
You don't need to do the quests for the endings. Fight Gebel as soon as you find him and you get the bad ending. Fight Gebel after getting the Zangetsu for the usurper ending. Fight Gebel after 100% completion and you get to fight the true final boss. simple as that. Every head gear and accessory will show up on Miriam's model which is kind of annoying at times

Atfer 18 Hours of gameplay, I can say this is a great successor of Castlevania Symphony of the Night, 18 hours only 60% completed and still have too much secret to discover, complete side quest, etc. Every level it has a great detail and you can appreciate their effort when they make it. The Original Soundtrack suits perfectly with each level, "Autumn's Desolation" the Ninja Level is my favorite one and finally different endings you can get, one of the best thing of Igavania, in other word this game is an Art, everyone should try it. Thanks IGG-Games for sharing this awesome game to the people, and all Kickstarters backers who could make possible to this game with their donation. I know this is a Piracy site, but if you liked this game please support the Dev, it's hard to find these kind of game, and it would be nice a sequel Bloodstained 2.

That's the bad ending, the game has three endings. For the next ending, keep exploring till you get the Zangetsu weapon, then fight Gebel again. For the true ending you need 100% map cleared, every boss beaten and everything discovered
Koji Igarashi games like to fake people making you think that is the ending, you gotta to explore more the casttle and maybe you will find any clue on how can you save him. This is why I love these kind of games when you realize that is not the true ending and every step your make is about to find the true :P
Hope the update comes soon. Gets a kernel crash via the NVIDIA drivers in the Oriental Garden to what I presume is the boss room and I don't think any driver updates are coming.

after doing some research i conclude there no difference if you lower everything the only thing i saw was the post processing it really affects the background at low settings but everything else there no visual difference so the best for everyone to enjoy this should be lowering everything except post proccesing and the resolution (unless you have a potato of course)

Its because doing everything sprite based is waaaaaaaaaaaay more expensive. He wanted to use the Unreal Engine to cut costs. That's all he could do with the money he head.
I understand what you mean and although i'm loving this game a sprite based game and 2.5D enviroment sounds excellent like SquareEnix did with Octopath Traveler, they could have saved a lot of money on animations and 3D models and make an even larger castle or map and have a longer game, but despites this i can feel the Castlevania vibe and that's what i wanted, there are other Metroidvania games and follows the mechanics this genre has but none of them feels close to a Castlevania like Bloodstained does.

Nah it's perfectly fine the way it is and it looks great. A couple of animations are kind of janky here and there but other than that it looks great, sounds great and plays great

Nope. I have a even better idea, Arc System works 2.5 D Style, all the game is 3D but the characters and stuff look 2D while the enviroment can be done either in both. (for reference see Guilty Gear games or Dragon ball fighterz, both made with the style i mention)
octopath looks terrible compared to Guilty Gear and Dragon ball fighterz cell shading technique. Even the concept art of bloodstained tried to have a Guilty gear type of look, sadly i didn't saw another studio that used the same technique as theirs.
I did some digging and confirmed that this IS patch 1.02, it came already included with the pc release. They couldn't do that with the physical copies obviously but they updated it instantly, some people just started playing before downloading it on consoles and that caused the problems.
The reason the progression issue is happening after they update to 1.02, is because those people started their game before they updated to 1.02. Once you update to 1.02, if you load a saved game from a previous version, it creates bugs. The dev team fixed this issue in v1.03.
I'm well aware of the bug. But not everyone here are aware of that. If they have no idea and applied 1.02 patch they are going to have serious trouble. That is the reason why I would rather wait for 1.03
if your gamepad is not working, might as well buy a new one, i am using a cheap fake xbox360 controller and it works great without even using gamepad emulators, just $10 below :)
replacing the BloodstainedRotN\Binaries\Win64\ file with the one install fix the problem but after you quit it goes back to doing the same thing again. its bug within the coding affecting controller from working i'm guessing.
Asking around does anyone get a crash if they are connected to the internet when playing the game I open the game while connected and it crashes after about 2 minutes but it doesn't if i am not connected to the net I found a semi-solution: Turn wifi off and then start the game, then turn wifi back on after a bit.

Try saving the file parts instead of "open" and use 7zip Make sure both parts are downloaded to the same directory (example: your desktop) then extract part 1 (it will extract both parts into 1 folder)
I am using a 3rd party controller and i cant find a way to make it work (its a ps3 , xbos360 gen one ) i tried using x360ce and moving it to the folder where i installed the game but it still doesnt work. solutions say i have to enable it via steam but thats also out of the picture because adding the game as non-steam game doesnt give me the options to enable controller settings or similar
I'm using a PS3 controller and installed SCPtoolkit. The only thing I have to do is run the scpserver program (which gives me an error but it works) and it works flawlessly. Previously used a generic ps3 controller and it worked as well.

Yeah the thing is the shield five you invincibility frames when attacking(You'l see the word guard pop up) So time your attacked with the shield with his and his gets nullified, it's super easy. Just dodge his jump attacks and for the normal ones just mash attack right in front of him

i tried it on my other OS (so it was with a fresh save) and Avenge julius quest (the one talking about Julius is the quest to kill Iga) was there When i got the Village key and Lindsay spawned
yep it's only 8 mb and it's a secondary quest that you get from Lindsay (kill Iga) i've added it after the first part (ship map) and it works and i'm using the version of IGG in this page (unless it has been uploaded again)
did you try to find the quest in your actual save? since the torrent version is codex too it shouldn't be a problem try to delete pakchunk3 gamefolder/BloodstainedRotN\Content\Paks

Well, I bought this machine new in 2015 for $550. It shouldn't be that outdated. Maybe I just paid for an overpriced lemon. Oddly enough though, it runs Ys Lacrimosa Of Dana just fine. It also ran Blade Strangers with little difficulty. I guess I'm just going to have to save up for a better computer later.

Yea , that's the best way pre-assembled PC are overpriced and sometimes with Unknown hardware, which means hard to upgrade. For example a friend of mine bought a pre-assembled PC and couldn't upgrade the motherboard Bios and couldn't upgrade to a newer CPU even if the socket was the right one anyway you can switch the ryzen G to a ryzen 2600x and you should be good for a lot (unless you want to play 4k. you need a better CPU and obviously a GPU)

A little late on the update, but i can positively vouch the game runs wondrously at 3 frames per second without the setting changes. It becomes 7 with some bit of optimization. THIS shit cannot run on that LOW of specs. Shame, i wanted to play it so bad.

Not really. The DLC is unlocked as soon as the game starts. You just wont get to the relevant area for a while. The DLC is basically contracts that you can get that have you beat certain enemies to get rewards. You can get those contracts as soon as you meet the contract lady but wont get to the relevant area for a while
Some said you need to increase processor power (find it in battery power options) personally i tried it with no luck, but give it a shot and tell us how it went, some others suggessted thar you turn off vsync, i tried that as well, no luck there either

I do, i use DS4Windows for just about every PC game i have, even for emulators. Works perfectly fine with my ps4 controller. What DS3Windows does is basically take the input of the ps4 controller and turn it into an Xbox controller input. So games are tricked into thinking you're using an xbox controller

I enjoyed Order of Ecclesia as well but just didn't get into it as much as Aria and Dawn of Sorrow. Aria of Sorrow is definitely probably the best but Dawn of Sorrow came after it so that is why I said it is the best one we've had in a long time. Been playing it and it is, imo, a good metroidvania. Basically castlevania in spirit. Takes me back to the NDS era Castlevanias with the absurd number of weapons and abilities. The only place where it deviates is the art style, but I don't think the style they've gone for is inherently bad. The environments and enemies are very well detailed and the game feels about as responsive as a classic castlevania game. Plus, it's got that characteristic soundtrack as well. This seems like a game I'll be completing in one sitting.

For those that encounter that black screen error (graphics driver crash), all you need to do is lower your visual settings to the lowest. Apparently this just happens to outdated grahpics cards (or pcs, idk). So I guess It's time for me to upgrade to avoid shit like this in the future.

My game crashes everytime I enter a room in the Oriental Sorcery Lab (taking the upper left entrance in the map where the tengu's face is located).
To be more specific, I get a black screen and a "nvidia's driver card has crashed and recovered" message, so I'm guessing the problem has something to do with my pc?
I see some people had a similar problem so I'll try reinstalling the game and getting it from gog, but if that doesn't work then I guess I'll just jump out my window because I really don't want all those hours I spent griding for materials to go to waste.

you can INFINITELY do the kick by, down forward attack, backdash (quickly), down forward attack, repeat.
if you're REALLY good at timing you can JUMP in mid-kick, i can't do this consistently it's really really hard to do
D F attack, (during kick animation!!) backdash, then (this has to be done SUPER fast) directional shard, attack, jump, if done correctly you'll jump again in midair (without double jump) i stress SUPER FAST like all that in like less than a half second
this can be done multiple times, with enough skill you don't even need double jump or high jump, I was able to get to gebel fight without double jump, reflect ray or the giant hand
btw current new game normal speedrun is 36 minutes, pure insanity of glitches and infinite jumps
unless you're like me and stock up on like 5 hi potions and crapton of food, it'll save you time AND money

gone through entire game on normal with those and even new game plus game i'm still using those cause there are very few good alternatives
stack up on MP recovery early! (make and consume different drink items for a one-time permanent mp recovery buff)
ignore all the "healing" crystals they are NOT worth the effort for the little healing they give, literally won't save your ass on any boss believe me, better off with words of wisdom for reduced mp costs, or whatever weapon expertise you wish to use. and buy potions and/or food, seafood stew is a good food item to heal
don't ignore the townspeople quests they can give you useful stuff, or at least help you make better gear or food for yourself (everything you craft can be bought in shop)
for your massive gold grind, MAX OUT AUGMENT GOLD ASAP,
any passive shard that hits RANK 9 becomes a permanent (ON/OFF) shard, it stacks on top of the actual passive shard, so augment gold x2, you start getting 1000,2000g gold drops from all enemies and breakable objects
if you need gold (the material) the underwater horses drop ayamur, which can be dismantled to 1 piece of gold each
if anyone thinks thats a lot of work for that, consider i got 100,000G within 20 minutes of just killing bats and candles back and forth.

For now i think the GOG version it´s the best version for this game...errors free, last update and dlc.
I know some problems maybe caused due missing files, antivirus, humans, etc but i installed this game 3 times and i have updated everything and checked all the files looking for a problem. The balck screen issue strikes again every time.
I like the codex releases but sometimes the RCCB attacks. Crack a game is not easy and some mistakes are normal.

Some times these crack works and for other just don´t. Personally the codex crack works just fine for me but sometimes just don´t.
Right now i have installed the GOG Bloodstained updated to 1.05 plus the DLC and works flawless.
I rather use the GOG version because it´s a lot more stabble release and for the last update and dlc.
it´s not the first time that a codex release, has a unstabble crack. But let´s say that the codex crack works perfect i rather use the gog version because the last update, stability and dlc. But thatps just my opinion (all of this) not a fact.
When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something?
If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.
We do not handle exe files, each download is a rar file, only 2014 games still have a password, that was discontinued a long time ago...

To answer your questions, igg does all the uploads and updates not the mods, And in order to get a game updated, You have to make a request. How long it takes for a game to update depends on how many people request for it, But it usually updates as long as at least one person asks for it. On the other hand if nobody requests an update for a game, Then igg will judge that it's unnecessary to update, If no one plays or cares.
As to posting DLCs, It's strictly unallowed, Unless you're in the "Trusted list".
If you saw someone posting DLCs and didn't get their posts deleted, It means, Either they're on the trusted list, Or we actually didn't see it and they got away with it. hahhah

here's some recommended setups that I used and random info
flame cannon (start of game on boat): you can EASILY get this to rank 7 at the start of the game, get 6 gunpower from shop and alchemize it to rank 7, it shoots 4 shots of fire in front of you for only 15mp a shot, can be spammed throughout the map. jump+fire to keep using it rapidly
heretical grinder (blood grinder knights): damages really fast, higher ranks make a bigger sword come out, be aware it drains MP FAST, best used with MP reduction shard
poltergeist (floating painting enemies): bunch of paintings spin around you, higher ranks give you more paintings at once, good for running through enemies without stopping
plunder's ring + plunder's ring (two of them) + alchemic bounty shard gives you a huge item drop boost, put on luck boosting gear on top of that to help with annoying drop rates.
finishing all of Susie's (the old lady in shop) quests gives you a hat that makes ammo not get consumed, very VERY useful if you like guns
carabosse (familiar, enemy in silent garden) can point out hidden walls for you
black pepper is found in chests secret underground lab (the one after the train) both blue chests have a chance to drop it, respawn by teleporting somewhere else and coming back again.
soy sauce is found in oriental lab, teleport there then room to right of teleporter in top right corner (use invert or dimension swap) this is the ONLY chest that drops soy sauce in the game, no enemies drop it
flying beef (so so SO grindy be warned) oriential lab flying cow looking enemy drops at 1% CHANCE, two plunder's ring and alchemic bounty help speed this up, and as much luck as possible
FOOD GIVES PERMANENT STAT INCREASES THE FIRST TIME IT'S CONSUMED
the various drinks you can make ali buff your MP recovery permanently
and last but not least, once a PASSIVE shard reaches rank 9(or grade 9 also?) it becomes a permanent shard you can switch on/off
I recommend searching for the GOG version that works great.

the only thing i saw was the post processing it really affects the background at low settings but everything else there no visual difference
so the best for everyone to enjoy this should be lowering everything except post proccesing and the resolution (unless you have a potato of course)

He wanted to use the Unreal Engine to cut costs.
That's all he could do with the money he head.
its the same thing as SNK they moved to 3d because their budget its very low for sprites
He left Konami and no other studio wanted to invest in his game.
So he managed to do what he could.
square did an amazing job with the sprites used on 3d backgrounds
gives that ps1 feeling

Even the concept art of bloodstained tried to have a Guilty gear type of look, sadly i didn't saw another studio that used the same technique as theirs.
I really like the shadows and lighting effects.

does anyone get a crash if they are connected to the internet when playing the game
I open the game while connected and it crashes after about 2 minutes
but it doesn't if i am not connected to the net
I found a semi-solution: Turn wifi off and then start the game, then turn wifi back on after a bit.

Make sure both parts are downloaded to the same directory (example: your desktop) then extract part 1 (it will extract both parts into 1 folder)
i tried using x360ce and moving it to the folder where i installed the game but it still doesnt work.
solutions say i have to enable it via steam but thats also out of the picture because adding the game as non-steam game doesnt give me the options to enable controller settings or similar

if you can't get it to work delete both pakchunk 2 and 3 to "unistall" the DLC
Can you believe the issue was that I set the game to offline mode in the steam_emu.ini?

pre-assembled PC are overpriced and sometimes with Unknown hardware, which means hard to upgrade. For example a friend of mine bought a pre-assembled PC and couldn't upgrade the motherboard Bios and couldn't upgrade to a newer CPU even if the socket was the right one
anyway you can switch the ryzen G to a ryzen 2600x and you should be good for a lot (unless you want to play 4k. you need a better CPU and obviously a GPU)

EDIT: Nvm had conflict with demo save file. Starting new game on different row fixed it
he can then add the game to steam as a non-steam game
and once the game is loaded up he just needs to configure it on steam as a gamepad

The DLC was initially promised as an exclusive for those that backed the Kickstarter campaign, which at the time was the richest video game Kickstarter of all time. However, in a Kickstarter update this week Igarashi said the community had indicated it was happy for the DLC to be more widely released.
