The game is good, not memorable. I like the friendship theme, it remembered me when I read Majikoi, because when the MC is in a group with girls and guys it seems more realistic with the "Slice of life" scenario. Just my opinion.

Anyone else has an audio bug after the playground event with Tatiana where you constantly hear footsteps?
Only way I've found to stop them is to load a save file from almost the beginning.

Looks dark, and the art style fits it just well enough.

there is a story reason for why the game is called IS* ended vs HAS*. its kind of a long running gag.

It's an in game reference revolving around a broken keyboard. I'd expand on that but it could be considered a spoiler.

well that will happen when the google translator is in use

it's the name the developers gave to the game, it's not something that has to be corrected just because it's wrong in terms of grammar

Yeah either "HAS Ended" or "Is Finished"

I can relate to the whole mechanism afterwards.
Let's just say, the whole story is pointed to someone else, but then some surprises appear but for some reason, they are cringe and was too lame. I don't blame them for creating such odd Visual Novel, beyond some really intense scenes with developing choices, i do wonder.
Does the choices really matter?
Creating too much of an option doesn't really get the game to get going, it makes it more bad and nevertheless, i can agree to others, the art are well done, the concept of the story is confusing and the whole events, comes as a surprise to the base player.
I can't really judge the game now but it seems that my opinion although differentiate the true meaning of Visual Novel.
(Anyway, if i rate it out of 10 then this would be... 11/10, because it goes too above and praiseworthy that most things that counts as a negativity to the game, really exist.)

Well sorry not to be Picky Writty here (especially with my low writting skill) but "almost all" put an emphasis on the big number, the majority (= close to all) ,it's not like " a lot of " or "more than half".
So yea sorry to me it's sound like you're sayin' 90% of the release are mediocre, which I disagree with.
Now I do agree that a lot of work are focused more on H-scene than quality of story, especially with the one released on steam ( instead of stand alone exe).
But you're free to disagree, that's just my 2cents to your 10cents ╮(﹀_﹀)╭

I played this on PS4 a while back. It's a pretty nice visual novel. Doesn't take itself too seriously half the time so if you're the type with a short attention span with no appreciation for humorous dialogue you might not like it. It does have its serious moments and is really well produced though so if you like visual novels I think its worth a play.
Here's a review that I think gave an accurate take on it:

Like anime if you look only at the generic mass you will find a lot of mediocre things, go out of your bubble and the whole system will be more balanced.
Sure there is more master piece anime than Vn, but saying all are mediocre is either an abusive statement, or a lack of view of the different things released.

This one has some good art, but reviews seem to be very split on the characters and story. Has me believing that the story's mediocre at best. Might still be worth checking out if you're into sci-fi digital-world-bleeding-into-the-real-world story with a cast of video game developers, but otherwise, I'm sure there are better VNs out there.

its because people dont play the game until they see the characters evolve past their shells, just shows how shallow some one is to rate something bad after only 2h of playing it.

The game's story IS mediocre at best. I was very disappointed, when I played it a few weeks ago. You can easy skip a few chapters, because they are boring and do nothing to progess the "very interesting" plot. This game wants you to think that you are playing Steins;Gate. Still, you can smell every twist 10 miles away. I was laughing my ass off, when the biggest twist was revealed. However, it fails at every point and feels cringy. It was just pathetic. In fact, I skipped a few chapters. I cannot recommend this game to anyone.
If you are looking for a good visual novel, I can recommend World End Syndrome. Every twist is predictable. However, it is at least enjoyable and not cringy.

This isn't a bad game, its just bad for you. Beyond the inspiration for the artwork the game makes absolutely no effort to try and make it seem like Steins Gate. Steins Gate was an intense story driven narrative and this is a semi-serious but often slice-of-life styled game that draws its worth from the character interactions, humorous dialogue, and allowing the user to feel part of the group. From the sounds of it you went off on a tangent looking for intense story while skipping the chapters that actually offer what this game intends to provide because you thought they were boring.
If you find that cringy or boring that's perfectly fine, to each their own, but please understand that that's not a fault in the game, its only your preferences. There's nothing wrong with that, a lot of people feel that way about character-interaction focused VN's. But calling it pathetic, cringy, boring, and disappointing because you want something that the game doesn't intend to offer is no more logical than someone saying "Game of Thrones is crap, it's not funny enough".

While I do appreciate your effort, I do not think that I can agree with you. First, when I said that it tries to be like Steins;Gate, I meant that your so-called "semi-seriousness" is the weak point of this game. There is no such thing. However, it wants to give you the same feeling. That is, of course, impossible. Everything ends as a joke. It tries too hard to be something amazing. I for one think that it fails at being a enjoyable read because it masquerades itself as something that it clearly is not.
I will not spoil anyone here, but when something happened to one of the characters in this game, I could not care less. I could tell the backstory of the mentioned character before he/she got introduced. Why, you may ask. Because this game is a joke. Every character fits an stereotype and does not evolve into something meaningful. Do you really like repeated jokes about the bust size of someone? Do you think a kid can be a genius of a programmer?
I played almost every VN available in English, so I gained enough experience to jugde a game's worth. I could tell you a lot more, but I do not want to spoil anyone here.

I just downloaded Ever17. Been recommended that by several people and judging by VNDB, it's rated as one of the top VNs of all time. Plus, it's one of those "n number of people get trapped in x place" type of stories. Huge fan of those based on Zero Escape and Danganronpa so if I do read a VN any time soon, it's going to be that one.

Ever17 is kinda meh for the most part.. over a 7/10 at most.
I found Remember11 a MUCH better experience overall, although the ending is not... really an ending, but asiide from that the overall ride is WILD for that. Also an amazing soundtrack

Ever17 was very enjoyable. The use of German was fairly cool as an idea. However, almost everything was written wrong.

question then. I'm on the opinion that s;g is more about Okabe than the sci-fi plot. would you say this VN is more about the MC or just the sci-fi thing?

This VN has many MC. It is not like Steins;Gate in this regard. There is no realism in regard to the sci-fi thing. You can say this VN is all about (bad) jokes. Everything else is like decoration. I do not think that a normal person can enjoy crude jokes. Maybe I am just too old to like these kinds of jokes.

I don't know i just installed it (and will not read it today) but I was waiting for this story for a good amount of time
I believe the story is probably cool; at least the pitch seems cool, and the art is nice from what I saw.
And my taste are "particular" if I can say (for example, too much hentai scene, and you lose me I just quit) so I would recomend rather reading reviews or just give it a try, worst case scenario you would have just lost some hours.

hm... it's true this is seems good, the problem is the story, welp i guess i have to see what ppl thinking in steam.
i dont like too much hentai scene like funbag shit, it's make me sick even just thinking about it or get fak without reason and more like a "mans dream" when it's different when we do it in real live. i like read kind of vn that not only female char, male protagonist, less fak but more joke, ofc beautiful cg or sprites, better the sprites is moving, and... choice.
like ace academy

I do agree
And the things is, like games, you can't really know until you play it yourself. There is of course major things (like stupid AI , or in case of VN really sour story) that can tell you it's a no go, but other than that, if the main pitch appeals to you , you can't really know if it will be good or bad.
There is Vn that was appealing to me but that I droped because for this or that reason that ruined the whole fun for me.
Again at any rate, we just lose some hours of our spare time, and move on , thanks to IGG , DarkSiders and all the team that let us try this for free.
Hope you will like it anyway, or find something better :)
There is planty fish novels in the sea when you look at it (like on vndb)

yeah, you right, i know... there is so much but the good quality is rare. best 18+ vn ive play is i walk among zombie, it's cool 18+ VN than i've play. the problem is, they never translate the part 2 and 3 which is suck.
now, im rarely read VNs. i just read the good one.

Ho yes I do agree that if you add the +18 into the equation (so you filter out the non-H one) it become hard to find good quality one.
And you're also right about Part 2 - 3 etc not beeing translated which doesn't motivate you to go reading things...
