So you know... before you come into a game's comment section that is clearly categorized as what it is to shit on it, maybe try and understand that some people like the stories. Some people like the stories of Doom and Call of Duty better than the "gameplay". It isn't for no reason that games do have stories, the developers are trying to fucking tell stories. But as you can see, our generation is much more focused on having instant gratification and want to pay little to no attention on what they are being told. That is because all they want is to blow some heads open with a gun, look at cool explosions, and sink their teeth on their mattresses as they die for a 9 year old screaming curses at them. And since this is the case, well. There are MULTIPLE games of this kind for you. Many many games are nothing but gameplay without any quality story. So instead of shitting on something you dislike because it isn't what you like, go support what you do, while understanding that some don't.

Cause it's the gameplay that matters. I wanna start my Zelda by going into a cave, get my sword and move on. I wanna start my Doom and Wolfenstein with shooting something in the face 5 seconds into the game. I wanna play my Mega Man right at the stage select, without much context why I do all this shit. But now, everything has a huge intro or unskippable story-segments. It's fine in an RPG... to some extent... but man, let me play the damn game. Sure, story is good and fine... if it's somewhere in the background and doesn't interrupt the gameplay in one way or another.
Well there is planty of action-game without much of a story, and worst case you can (in most non-shity case) skip these story part. I can get you don't wanna see story in a game and wanna focus only on action, but sayin' story is useless in a game is totally stupid and imature.
