It's fun to watch how your heroes become stronger, and maps which seemed impossible at first are then easy peasy. Once you have a few of them gems, except for the first three areas I did not find it to be 100% puzzle at all, because all skills can be changed by inserting gems into different sockets.
Wow, much, MUCH harder than what I thought. Too hard for me, actually. Of course, it's not exactly comparable to https://igg-games.com/divinity-original-sin-enhanced-edition-pc-free-837914122-download.html, but I loved its turn-based combat, and I remember that every fight felt like a breeze in that game. Here, it's another story. One mistake and you can't win the battle anymore. Get petrified by a basilik and it's all over. (You don't even get any spells in the first battles to counter this effect. GREAT.) Because of this, it feels much more like an unforgiving puzzle game than an "organic" turn-based strategy game. The game has already reached 1.0 but I see that the developer still updates it almost every day, so wait and see...๐ค Besides that, UI, graphics and music are great. Story is totally skippable. Edit: After playing a few hours, I confirm it's 100% "puzzle" and has nothing to do with strategy, not even mentioning RPG. I uninstalled it already. It's horribly frustrating and a huge disappointment. RECOMMENDED BETTER GAMES: The game which plays the most like Druidstone is https://igg-games.com/breach-548511571-free-download-2.html, imho. Battles are a bit similar, because just one wrong move and it could screw up your mission for good... If you like this kind of pressure, then you'll like Druidstone. (Edit: not saying Into the breach is bad too. I actually enjoyed it much more than Druidstone.) https://i.redd.it/ayys6agdkcp01.jpg Other recent games I could recommend(Besides D:OS 1 and https://igg-games.com/divinity-original-sin-2-divine-edition-7323112351-free-download.html ) are https://igg-games.com/fell-seal-arbiters-mark-free-224718081-download.html(Infinitely superior if you want real strategic battles), all of the https://igg-games.com/shadowrun-512312323-hong-kong-free-download.html games... Also, the X-com games, Wasteland 2, Fallout 1/2, Jagged Alliance 2, etc. Personally, I prefer true strategy-RPG games in which I can still win against all odds, and not puzzle games in which every battle is rigged beforehand, and I'm basically FORCED to play a certain way, choose only a specific set of moves, etc. (I still have great memories of the first Shining Force(1993) when I could end a battle even if my entire team was down, except the main character and Zylo... Damn that wolf was strong.) TIP: focus on objectives and try to finish the mission FAST. DO NOT focus on killing all enemies, unless it's the objective. The longer you take, the more enemies will spawn, and it becomes impossible to finish a level.
its just so shame that Shinning Force didn't got any "remastered" lol have you tried Advance wars via GBA emulator? That was a great game too Of course you can't compare to X-COM 2 lol
Oh yeah actually I only played the Advance wars games on GBA, not NDS. I should really try someday. lol But yeah I really liked it. I even listened to the OST a few days ago. ha ha In the same style, have you tried the recent https://igg-games.com/wargroove-free-download.html? It's really extremely similar.
It's SUPER hard. I still think it's great, but I wonder if I won't give up on it. I feel that if you do just one mistake, it's too late, and you can't win a battle anymore.
it looks like a multiplayer game to me. reading the comments i guess it isnt so im happy with that lol. will give it a try looks interesting. dont forget to copy content of crack/plaza!
All it does is bring you to your steam account then it realizes you dont have the game and it just brings you to the page to buy it, am i missing something here?
When installing the game, make sure this box is also checked, that will make the installer automatically copy and paste the crack in the right place for you, and the game will work fine !
The game's surprisingly enjoyable. However : The writing is rudimentary. The music can be annoying. The characters are a bit... well...stereotypical ? And the story is also the same old stuff. But. And this is a big BUT. The actual game-play itself is solid, the tactics are meaningful, levels and abilities are well designed, graphics are on the pretty side, the learning curve is quite manageable, and the overall tempo of the game is quite chill due to replay-ability of levels. So, the game's not very deep, but what depth it does have is very well crafted and i am overall impressed with it. Will buy on sale to support the devs.
So is this story-driven or gameplay driven? The "mission" description makes me think this is 80% gameplay and just 20% story ... Which is obviously fine if you're into that. Just wouldn't interest me personally. Would be cool if someone could say more about this ..
hmmm it more like an old school turn base pc rpg back in dos day. yeah i still remember the golden day of diskette and password for play game that can only found in the big manual book that come with the game.

Well, I wasn't surprised when I read it was made by the developers of Legend of Grimrock.๐
on a scale of 10 how much you give it?
