However what it should say is: "INSTALL ALL THE FILES IN THIS FOLDER IF YOU WANT THE GAME TO FUNCTION." To put that into baby speak, download all the files in the Dependencies folder. Now there is one last hurdle you may have to cross, even after installing the files in the Dependencies folder your firewall may not let you run the game. In order to rectify this, you search for App and Browser Control in the Windows searchbar Once you are there you click on REPUTATION BASED PROTECTION SETTINGS. And finally you turn off the CHECK APPS AND FILES option. Once all of this is done you should be able to run the game in peace. If it STILL doesn't work after all of this, then I am sorry my friend, but you are probably playing on a potato. P.S the game will be in russian when you launch it. you said that multiplayer function works but how to use it? I want to host a game, it says that is on port 27016, but if I check, the used ports of the game are only above 50000. This is just directx,and I've got the latest version i can support. So pretty sure it's not this man. Anyway,i deleted the game now. Tried for hours to get it working and don't wanna pop another brain vein
I have the last version as well, but it appears that the game needs a specific directX version, and i can assure you that it is the problem. Anyway, hope it will help other people.
Game crashes as soon as the you get to the menu screen. you hear the start of the song for about two seconds and then it crashes. Can this be easily fixed?
This game works just fine, make sure you install XNA Framework 3.1, THE EXACT VERSION. Not 4, 3.1. Also run as admin if you still encounter errors. Edit: Yes multiplayer works, make sure to port-forward port 7731 TCP/UDP
It says "Magicka has stopped working" when I try to open it, which is apparently an issue connected to Steam, which can only be resolved if that game is downloaded via Steam... anybody fixed it?
