Like many college students in America today, I've experienced homelessness, and I'm not really sure WTF the point of this game is. Are they donating the profits to house homeless young people?

Married with Children, All in the Family, I could go on ..and 3rd, if they have a PC to play games on, plus an internet connection to download the games, then they aren't that poor or that suffering.
Well, everything is "real" to a point and that includes war or as you said... hurricanes. People die or lose everything because of that, you know? Just because it hasn't happened to you or those close to you doesn't mean it isn't real as well. But honestly, I don't really care either way. Not all indie games suck.. you have to remember. Often its 1-3 guys working on a game which takes a shitton of work to make. In comparison, EA has thousands at any given moment working on a major title. Without Indie devs, big companies like EA could produce dogshit and people would have to deal with it. Competition is a good thing.

I think most people pirate AAA titles and dump them a week later is because they realize just how long big corps have been ripping us off and it's a bit of a f*ck you right back. However, I find most Indie games these days provide much more entertainment than the bug infested garbage with no innovation or fresh idealism we have been accepting from AAA title developers. I could go on forever about this crap, but the truth is, I'm too lazy to keep ranting with my fingers, so to the big corps, I only have one left to rant with, just for them. ;)

Anthem was a great game produced in 9 months (gestation of a baby) even if people literally quit or lost their minds because of the sadistic slave driving female management. The third time I bought a PC game for $60 bucks and it was a turd, I will only try it out first before I buy, it's ridiculous how gnomes like Todd and Bethesda think we are that infinitely stupid. Astroneer is from a small team and their game is looking good, Empyrion is looking good these days, and even Outlaws of the Old West, may not have a lot of content, but it's fun to play. So I like "indie devs," because they are former AAA gaming house personnel that realized making money for the devil never helped anyone, including themselves.
