played a few minutes and its not what i expected ;/ the combat has much to desire just to tell that pretty much kicking does better job against enemies most of the time than using the weapons they could have added finishing moves to make it better like dark souls or the glory kills of doom for example, i mean your character is a barbarian with muscles, he could grab a weakened enemy and finish him off in different ways or throw it to other enemies, the music is great however
"you always wanted to find out how DOOM would feel if it had swords and a warhammer instead of guns" Then play Witchaven 1 or 2...or refer to that not Doom.
Also Hexxen, Heretic, Blood has a couple melee weapons, etc... First person melee is nothing new, just like half the "amazing new ideas" that games try to sell us nowadays
