Even this being GoG Battlenet version, it is working great with Wargus (except the voices of units at the moment which seems to be a problem with Wargus code or something).
Just need to install this IGG Warcraft Battlenet, and then install Wargus from github io and point the 'Warcraft "CD" folder' as the installation of Warcraft Battlenet folder. e.g: C:...Warcraft II BNE.
It improves a lot the resolution size and some other stuff:

This was the best RTS back in the mid-90s. Maybe I prefered the Command & Conquer series, though. It's still very enjoyable in 2019, but try to find some patches or mods like "Wargus" to get HD resolutions, it improves the experience, I think.
