I went to SmartSteamEmu and deleted Plugins, then executed LAUNCHER.exe, it finally worked.

I think i know what happend plugins content was for older version of CW3 and for latest version to have easyer access launcher was created or steam overlay is broken

If game crashes trough Launcher.exe and CW3 launches but stuck on main menu (inactive buttons exept exit). move plugins content to a seperate folder Example "Backup" and then try to launch game trough Launcher.exe. if it works u can delete plugins content, its up to you, and don't forget to check if u can access custom maps (colonial space), download and upload maps and upload time.

I had the same issue but i started it with Launcher.exe instead of CW3.exe. No need to delete anything...

run cw3.exe but every options can't function
run LAUNCHER.exe than show program have problem will close
