For people who cant launch the game: you need to install ubisoft game launcher, it will instal after AC II instalation, if you don't install it the game won't launch and you will get error code 1.
if you didn't check to install ubisoft game launcher or you couldn't and got code 4 don't worry. In the installed folder "assasins creed II" go to redist and ubisoftgamelauncherinstaller and start the app.

Go to where you installed the game > Redist > UbisoftGameLauncherInstaller. Right click and run as administrator. Or download uplay offically from ubisoft.

You will, unfortunately, need to have Uplay installed on your computer to run the game at all, no way around this that I have been able to find.You only need it installed, you do not need a Uplay account. the installer doesn't get admin privileges a second time. as long as you havent changed the installation directory you can go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Assassin's Creed II\Redist\UbisoftGameLauncherInstaller and install all the ubisoftgamelauncher.exe (requires administrator).

Goto the UPDATE file in the iso and run the update
Goto the SKIDROW file in the iso and move the ubiorbitapi_r2.dll into the Ubisoft Game Launcher root folder and replace the file "Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher"
Goto the Crack Fix folder in the IGG-AsAsCre222 folder
Paste the AssassinsCreedII.exe and AssassinsCreedIIGame.exe into the game root folder and replace "Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed II"
Paste the UbisoftGameLaucher.exe from the Crack Fix folder into the launchers root folder and replace "Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher"

There's a readme in the ISO, it says how to properly install the game step by step, BUT, there's no crack at all, or at least there are no "AssasinsCreedII" or "AssasinsCreedIIgame". So the game can't be played because there are files missing in the ISO.
I just downloaded and extracted again now. Crack Fix folder have 4 files, so I assure that your anti virus or firewall deleted some .exe files before extract, that why you missing. Now, turn off anti virus and firewall, then extract again..
I appreciate the effort but I'm not the average user, I must have downloaded and install hundreds of games and I know that, I also disconnected from Internet and turned off Antivirus and firewall.
