If you're using a Dualshock 4 controller, this happens whenever you try and use it. Download DS4Windows to remedy it, and if that doesn't work, load it as a non-Steam game into your Library, and the controller will work then. Hope this helps.

after i click on Setup for the game it give me error after it give me warrning for windows defender so i click on More... then Run and choose language after it give me error !
Found out what the issue was. Just use a program called Devreorder. I think I had too many controllers connected and Sekiro couldn't figure out which one was my main.

ok I figured it out you have to extract it to where your steam games go so Windows (C:) > Program Files (86x) > Steam > steamapps > common. the game file showed up in Windows (C:) for me and it worked good luck.

its easier to do than the other guy says, just get winzip or 7zip, highlight all 3 of them then right click and press Extract here (on winzip) and itll spit out a folder with the game wherever you chose to extract it to. Some games will just have an exe, and some will require you to run an installer which will install the game for you
Ok so you download all three files then you use a program like 7zip and right click one of the three and press extract here you have extracted the files now the game come in three states one is playable right out of the files the second you have to run the install program that comes with it the third is an iso format which you need to run the iso with a program like Daemon Tools Lite now note make sure you check if the games comes cracked or with a crack file or folder to crack the game the three ways games are cracker are one right out of the box already two when you run the install program there is use crack file or most cases they call it a codex file, check box three you have to mainly crack it with a folder that comes in the files you extracted or in case of an iso open up the virtual drive by going to my computer open the virtual drive and look for a crack folder usual at the top

Your sekiro game save data isnt stored with the game so if you delete the actual game folder where you install it and reinstall the game you wont lose your saves

the crack files are in a folder in the .iso you used to install the game, you need to copy them to where the games exe is located (right click the desktop icon click "open file location")

I just want to share to everyone what I experienced downloading files here at this site. First of all, if you experienced links being down, you should have use a Download Manager. For example, IDM. Ever since I start downloading games here, I use IDM. I'm using the MegaUp link, and surprisingly, no down links. Secondly, try reading comments first or researching a lot about a specific file so that you wouldn't get disappointed if you failed to install all files here in the site. Hello, May I ask if your PC is on the required Minimum - Max system requirement? Try opening it again and check your CPU if its overheating or not. Let me know what happens.Usually White screen means your CPU is overheating or its because of your GPU. :3
Try this: in your C:\Users"YOUR USER NAME"\AppData\Roaming\Sekiro folder, you should see a GraphicsConfig.xml folder. If you have it, you should be able to right click it and open it with Note Pad. Once you do, just change the resolutions to whatever resolution your monitor is. Be sure to change it on all 4 settings, which is the windowed wide screen width, windowed wide screen height, full screen width, and full screen height. After changing the resolution, make sure you go up to file and just click save. I hope this helps you fix the game.

Updates V1.03 and V1.04 works fine (for updating the game) If you have errors, "Maybe" there's something wrong with how you install and transfer the updated files.
I do not suggest updating the game with the CODEX presented. You'll most likely get an error from it in which is unrecoverable unless you copy and pasted the game else where before installing the updates, re-download the files, or just purchase the game from Steam and doing a file verification.
Q1: May I ask why did yours get an error after updating? Q2: Even in the torrent link (for the main file) its unrecoverable? I thought you'll mount the Iso file for installing the game (main file). You don't need to wait for re-downloading the game again for torrent link right?
That's not exactly what I meant. I should've re-worded what I said. I mean, after replacing the files, it came up with an error all the time. You don't need to re-download the game, I only made the general assumption that we all delete the files right after launching the game and verifying the game to see if it works.
Update: I updated the game and it seems to work fine for me. Im playing on V 1.04 now.. and it seems fine I tried quitting and starting it up a few times and it still works fine for me.

May I ask how did you update your game? (the process of it I mean) For me when I update any kind of game I would go to the update folder then lunch the "setup" application. After installing updates I would transfer the codex files (that replaces the old ones from the main file) to the main folder. I haven't tried updating Sekiro myself because I saw your comment about the update files. I'll try it myself and see if it works or not for mine. I'll let you know how it goes.
I followed the same procedure you did. Download the updates, open folder to see main updated files and open the .exe, then after that's done, I replace the files in the folder with the files in the CODEX.
hmm.. I see, Are your drivers up to date? Sometimes it can be because the drivers are not up to date and is your PC on the required Min-Max. Im still playing Sekiro until now, I haven't got any problems with mine. I downloaded my main file using the torrent link, then the updates with MegaUp and http://Mega.nz "maybe" there's something wrong with the files on the link.
Intel Xeon E5-2630 v2, Nvidia GTX 166o Super, 16 gbs of ram. All drivers are updated. I re-downloaded the game content and the update. Same error. I'll just buy this again perhaps. I'm not in a rush on beating the game again.
I was getting the .dll error bullshit and 0xb error message after trying a bunch of troubleshooting but I finally found a solution to the errors
uninstalling and redownloading a bunch of redistrubitable's did nothing for me
downloading the individual dll files and putting them in system 32 did nothing
What worked is downloading the individual files that I was missing and putting them in the installation folder of Sekiro. I can now launch the game perfectly! So if anyone is having issues with dll files, just skip all the bullshit advice on the internet, download the files, and throw them in the folder.

It sucks to see that message. Did you download all the .dll files required and put them in your Sekiro installation folder? That's exactly what I did. If you haven't done this already, try to Google the error name and install the .dll files required to make the error go away, then throw them in the Sekiro installation folder.
It's the exact same i used just in another language do you have any other clues about this at all? it really is troublesome and annoying when it worked last time a year or so ago. I used the 32 bit and 64 Architecture version both didn't worked..this really sucks..
All I can think of is to keep troubleshooting and ask someone else for advice. At least you know that it's not a hardware issue so all it takes is a bit of troubleshooting to find the solution

guys, please help. the game crashes when i die, so what happens is: i open the game, it runs okay and i get through the loading screen fine. when i die even once, the "death" animation comes up an that works fine. then the loading screen comes up and within the first few seconds the game goes black and quits to desktop. i uninstalled the game and reinstalled using the same codex.. that didn't seem to do anything... anybody know what to do?

Apparently not all copies. Mine is acting out (opening the Steam Overlay if I have Steam opened) too. I looked up your problem and was given the results of many people telling the person to "buy the game." I got my copy here on MegaUp since usually they don't take down the links due to any copyright infringement.

U can find online the way to start the game i did it and it works. Was very easy, just use the Codex files and replaces them with the fully installes files in the finished Sekiro file

Re-download that 1 part, it happens all the time, during downloading or transfer sometimes the data can get damaged. It absolutely has nothing to do with using 7zip or winrar, if anything 7zip is better than winrar by 100 fold. All you have to do is re-download the part that if "corrupted', put it in the same folder or where ever you download the files to, and it should work. This legit happens to me all the time because I download games to a flash drive since I don't have net at home and download from else where.
Yo, Try installing v1.03 first then the v1.04 fixed the compatibility issue for another game. I haven't downloaded yet, so does the base game work without the updates for you?

in the codex installation (the thing with the music and shut) there should be a checkbox that says to install the codex files along with the game. check that box!!!! and then, the game will work.

i dont know if you solved your problem yet, but yes you need all the parts, download them into the same folder. then when you extract the first one, all of them will be extracted automatically... you can find tutorial videos on this website, it will help you to crack the game.
Is there a crack file inside the game file after you downloaded it through torrent? Because most of the time you have to put the crack into the game manually.
After installing the patch copy all the files in CODEX folder in the patch folders and then paste them in the folder where the game is installed and it should work, cheers.

Not sure if its the case, but give it a time. I dont have exactly potato pc and still it took hela time to load. I got black screen, without sound and thought i missed crack or something. So i just hide it on background (alt+tab) and went search some solution. After while i just realized it loaded ;)

You figured it out yet? If not, it's usually either one of two things causing it. Either it requires Winrar v5 (7zip would be a good workaround for this, along with a newer version of Winrar) or you downloaded the parts from different sources and the filenames don't match.
I think I'm tired of playing this game. after offer the ring to buddha and beat that place after. I just go back and running around in circle. I have no idea where else I have to go. this game doesn't offer the map location objective hint you where to go. I tire of such a game like that so I dropped. sorry game. I really love samurai sword stuff but if I don't how to continue story process I'm done.
May 4, 2019, just downloaded all 3 game files using a combination of MegaUP and MegaNZ. Took an average of 4 minutes per file. The 2 update files were about 20 seconds each. Not seeing what the big deal is here people....
For those who are experiencing PC freezing whenever they go in game, go to Device Manager / Software Devices and deactivate Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator. I had the game running at 60 fps at max settings but the PC freezes when ever I go ingame for few seconds.

Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.

Depends tbh. Yes there is bug but those bug are rare and you have to go through bunch of stuff to even find them lol. Tho you may need v1.03, they improved the game performance with that patch.
Here's a general tip for everyone here. Before you try to patch ANY game, do yourself a favor and make a copy of the game's folder. It actually takes less than 5 seconds, and if you make a mistake and break something you still have a working copy.

I'm not sure what your message is saying, probably because of the translation. However, there's nothing wrong with the 1.03 update. I've "tested" it plenty, game plays as normal. i recommend you just try to patch the game again, if you need any help with that let me know.

you havn't installed the crack. Open the extracted folder and there should be a folder called CODEX drag those files into the installed location (for me it was C:\Program Files (x86)\Sekiro Shadows Die Twice) and replace everything it asks to replace.
The game works absolutely perfect for me from beginning to end. I think whoever is having problems with it needs to learn to read instructions, my game hasn't even crashed once or had any problem.
game worked fine for me after resigning keybinds now i had some issues with gen zero but turning off tail on the mouse fixed the issue where in full screen mode i couldnt see my mouse at all..

You don't need to pay for mega. There are a dozen different ways to download files over 5 gigabytes without an account, it actually tells you when you try to download a file from their website how to circumvent it.

I honestly don't know anything about a 1.2 patch for this game, or if this release was updated to include it (assuming it exists). The Crackwatch comments for the game don't mention a 1.2 patch anywhere. If you could send some kind of link to where it says that this game got a 1.2 patch, it would be appreciated. I have the same problem, the game runs really bad, usually between 25-40fps, I have gtx1060 6GB mobile and i7-7700hq. Plus changes to the graphic setting does almost nothing with framerates.
try closing all programs in the background, like Chrome pages and such. every time i launch the game while a lot of chrome pages in the background, the game even crashes after the loading screen. but after closing it I haven't faced any performance issues at all. hope this helped.

Your laptop is launching with the Intel HD. Open Nvidia Control Panel, click 3D Settings on the left, and the Program Settings tab on the right. Browse and find Sekiro.exe (here by default C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sekiro) Select to use "High Performance Nvidia Graphics" in the drop down Click Apply. Should be good to go.
Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.

yeah i guess it showed a white screen, and then after that i had to wait about 6 minutes for it to show the activision screen and everything. After fixing some settings with the nvida control panel, i got it to start up real quick. just google "how to fix low fps in sekiro shadows die twice" or something like that, and a step by step guide should show up as one of the first choices. i just followed that
So I downloaded the MegaUp file. Extracted all 3 parts, installed from Codex, and t directs me to Steam. What should I check. This is the second time its happened.

I don't know but have you tried disabling the anti virus and firewall before installation? If its still doesn't work try going to the game files and see if there is any prerequisite you forgot to download it can be like a Directx
In most games that redirect you to steam from this site there will be a CODEX or crack named folder in the place you installed the game. Just open the folder and copy paste whats inside to the game folder (it should have the same name as the thing you copied)
Okay so for anyone having issues with this. Step 1. Go to part 1 of the Google Drive Link Step 2. Up in the top, right hand corner, there should be an option to add it to your personal Google Drive, it should say... Add to Drive, or something along those lines. Step 3. Go to your Google Drive, and find the file that you just added to your drive, right click it, and click Make a Copy. Bare in mind, if your Drive is full you might have to delete some stuff to free up some space. Step 4. Download the COPY of the file that you just made. Step 5. Repeat steps 1-4 for parts 2 & 3. Step 6. Make a folder for these files, name it Sekiro, or something. Step 7. DRAG & DROP the 3 Winrar files into that 1 folder that you just made, highlight ALL of them, right click, extract here. Step 8. Mount the ISO file that was made in the folder to your disk, if you have Windows 10, just right click, and click mount. Step 9. Open up the mounted installer that was just made for you, set your install location, and select Create Desktop Shortcut if you wish. In the installer, there is an option to put the crack folder in the game folder automatically as soon as its done installing, should say something like, Put Crack in Dir, or something like that, CHECK IT. Step 10. Install, & enjoy <:

Sounds like you're dealing with a dual monitor setup. I know this sounds crazy but physically take out the cable to your second monitor. It actually works.

For Lag fix only for Nvidia : 1-Right click in any desktop area 2-Choose "Nvidia Control Panel" 3-Choose "Manage 3D Settings" 4-Click On Program Settings and add Sekiro.exe Located In your game file. 5-From Select The preferred graphics processor choose "High Performance Nvidia Processor and click on apply. 6-Open the game you shouldn't lag anymore and be able to play on higher graphics based on your graphics card.

it is program just like DS4windows.exe but specifically made for game similar to DS III and Sekiro on PC for DS4 controller user, it worked like charm, try reading others comment on here tho, just installed inputmapper while attached DS4 on PC, then you're set to go, make sure DS4windows not running, otherwise it'll get conflict ruuning on pc

I'll help you guys out because I really like this website, if you want to execute malware without harming your main pc, get something called sandboxie, it'll run the file in a virtualized environment and you'll get to see what folders it creates and what programs run in that environment. had the same problem for something else, try turning your screen off and on after starting the game, windows sometimes has problems with connecting the screen to games in fullscreen mode
go to Nvidia control panel, then select manage 3D settings and then the tab Program Settings. Then add Sekiro as a program, and then select high-performance as the prefered graphics processor. that may be the solution.

Have you tried opening the installer with admin rights? Also, some people forget to tick the square saying "copy contents of CODEX into installdr" during the installation.
press and hold E for keyboard you will see a swirl around you that means you will loot the floating items on dead enemies if its not E by default for your keyboard just hold any of the key mapped in the option and see if there is a swirl around your character
Are you holding the interact button (Square on dualshock or X on Xbox controller, I don't know what is on keyboard)? Hold the button and a swirl animation should appear and all money floating nearby will be collected.
yep, the interaction button doesn't apear, but i press it so many time over the money and nothing happen. i think have to delete and reinstall the game, or maybe you have the new update with the bug fix ?
idk for controller but on kb and mouse you need to HOLD interaction button so that wind like animation appear around Wolf which will absorb money of enemys, and it wont appear that you need to press it, you can do it whenever you want to activate looting
Not sure what the deal is, but I've tried mega, uploaded and rapidgator and I keep getting "Unexpected end of archive"/"Main archive header is corrupt" for parts 1 & 3(using WinRAR 5.61). Tried repairing as well and it didn't fix it. note sure what to do, please help!
Have you tried using a download manager like jDownloader instead of downloading the file directly throughout your web browser? Web Browsers tends to create errors in archives while downloading, having a download manager reduces this risk alot as they can resume downloads.
Are you downloading the files on a USB Hard drive? Try to disconnect hard drive and reconnect to see if it may change something. You can try rebooting computer too, sometimes operating system can cause weird bugs like that. Also verify if your Hard Drive is not full... Like if your hard drive is full at 80-90% sometimes that can cause problems even if your hard drive still have enough space to download the files.

You're using DS4 controller? Get x360ce and put in the game folder. run the x360ce.exe and it will set up your DS4 as an XBOX controller instead. Fixed for me. You'll want the 64 bit version for this game
I always download torrent file but the torrent site can't seem to open. I've never downloaded a game in parts so can anyone tell me how this works and do I need to combine all the parts somehow to play the game?
with winrar its the same just unrar 1 party and all other will unrar together but u have them in the same folder all parts u dont need select them or something.
depends on the program, i use winzip in which case if u have all 3 files in one folder, u just need to unzip one of them and they will unzip all 3 for you, if u use winrar or any other program then i cant help you, sorry
did you two apply crack? copy all files from CODEX which is inside of iso and past it in your game folder where you installed the game and press Replace the files in the destination

try to add it on whitelist in your antivirus if you use any also if your net is fast try to redownload part 2 and 3 if they are the one that dosnt want to be extracted

Xbox1 controller works fine but I've tried everything and can't get a Dualshock4 to work. DS4 windows, inputmapper, disabling and then enabling in device manager. They all do nothing. Never had a game work perfectly with one controller and completely refuse to recognize the other even with it masquerading as a 360 controller. Edit: OK so after even more searching I came across x360ce. Just install in the game folder and boom DS4 works perfectly. Hallelujah!

if you have all the mv c++ redistributable and Directx11 installed try to download XINPUT1_3.dll and D3DCOMPILER_43.dll from the internet and put them in system32 for the 64bit version ones, and/or put them in syswow64 for the 32bit version ones and try to run the game when you try to past them and windows tells you it will overwrite existing file,back it up first then overwrite it, so that if the game still doesnt work you can restore the old files
its possible that those two have been snubbed by your anti-virus or they are corrupt. try looking in your quarantine area in your anti-virus. alternatively, you can try to reinstall the game. that's all I know, hope that helps.

People, for those of you who are gettin the black screen/out of range mnsg, i have found the solution for the problem. Just enter the game, wait the out of bound mensage appear, then press ALT + ENTER for playing the game in windowed mode, then proceed to the game options, make some changes and save them, then in the APPDATA/ROAMING/SEKIRO a XML file named GraphicConfig will apear. Open it with notepad, and in the lines: Resolution-FullScreenWidth>XXX XXX you edit where the XXX is and change this for the resolution of your monitor, then save and play the game, it will work :)

is by chance your controller twin usb gamepad? if so, tried to deactivate one of the controller. If not try to tweak around controller settings, choose one of controller listed there and load it. for me it's rumblepad.

Ok I just found the solution, when you install the game with the setup, you have to open the ISO file with WinRAR and extract everything in it, in the folder in which you installed the game, it worked perfectly after that !

you dont extract anything... just grab all the things in the CODEX folder and move them into the sekiro shadows die twice folder and just replace all the things it needs to replace

Geforce 940mx Users, you can run the game indeed, but just putting on low and resolution on 1080x720p might not be enough, you have to do this to increase performance more: 0. Update Drivers, download Geforce Experience and put it to update your drivers.
Right click on your home screen > open NVIDIA control panel > manage 3D settings > program settings > click Add on 1 > "Sekiro Shadows Die Twice" > select "High performance NVIDIA processor in the drop down box on 2 > click "Apply" on the bottom right corner. This also works for most games, make sure you're have over 100gb free of disk space or else it's gonna make the game slow.
for those LOW END PC users this game run ok if you dont mind using low resolution, i am already at the 3rd/4rd boss a gigant bull on fire, this game run around 20 fps average. Everything set to LOW, i used a custom resolution 800x450 (16:9 ratio). CPU: AMD FX 8150 RAM: 16 GB DDR 1600 (if i remenber well) VIDEO: GT-710 Overclocked (1 GB VRAM) WINDOWS 7 SP1 x64
i wish but upgrading in my country is expensive, salary is under 10$ a month rigth now, i myself get around 50$ a month but i need to invest in other things first, and a used GPU cost around 100$, i really wish i could upgrade months ago, but i am thankful i could play this game with my setup.

hmmm... if you mean the tengu before the genichiro boss figth i already beat that part, sure the FPS got lower (i think 10 fps), the genichiro boss i had to keep the figth in the center most of the time because FPS drop near the edge. but in general this game is playable with my setup... looks horrible and sometimes i wish i had a few extra FPS, but i am thanksful i could play this game, i am really poor in my country and upgrading a GPU is really expensive here.

what? you have 15GB with a free account you can Copy 3 parts (5gb each) and anyway even if they were 10 parts you could do it copy first 3 parts in Gdrive -- download -- delete -- copy next 3 parts in your Gdrive --etccc

i found a solution you have to ctrl/alt/suppr to open the management thing and the go on the last onlget ( service i think) and shut down "nvconteinerlocalsystem" ad then hide your controler and it work

found the solution: go to your system hard drive (Usually C) under Users>Public and create a folder named "Documents" and inside that you create another folder called "Steam"
Hey, I went to the BD ROM Drive for Sekiro after installing it and when I launched the application in the CODEX folder it said several files were missing such as files, "amd_ags_x64", "oo2core_6_win64", "fmod_event64". and so forth. It says to simply reinstall the program to maybe fix the problem but I'm worried that it'll just dump excess files in my storage rather than fix it. Anyone with this issue? UPDATE: When you install the game, you are given a .iso file from all 3 parts, by using DAEMON or any disc-burning application, you will be brought to a drive labeled as the one shown at the top of this post, by going to the contents of the drive, simply copy and paste the contents of the CODEX file into the launcher's file location with all of your steam stuff, replacing any files if necessary. After that you should be good! I hope this helped anyone having the same issue as me
there is no .exe, or anything to launch files. everything is password protected and i cant use any of it, also part 3 has a .iso file and i cant open it, and theres pretty much nothing in it sooo idk what to do. please help.
You need to download all the parts and extract them together then mount the iso and install the game from the iso. In the installer it should have an option to automatically move the crack over.

(if it directs you to its Steam page then it mean you didn't apply the crack) after that: if you're 100% sure that you did apply the crack and it ,still,doesn't work (with the same problem "SteamPage") check your antivirus because ,probably, some file got blocked/deleted .
that wasnt the fix and i didnt ignore them it was cuz of windows defender... i had already pasted but it was still doing the same thing... then i had to disable the anti-virus thing.. thanks anyways you had the fix sorry for the late reply
You have to crack the game, when u extract the files, do the setup, and open the iso folder (in original extraction folder) with win rar, then highlight all the files (should be the steam files, gameoverlay) everything in there and put it where the game was installed so like C: program files x86 shadows die twice and just put them there and replace all files.

I thought DS4windows worked but it seems i installed an older version.So it stopped working for some reason.Hidguardian works with Seikiro but unfortunately it didn't with onechanbara.The game didn't register i had a controller.So i installed DS4windows from ryochan and so far it has worked.Inputmapper it's ok but it doesn't work in all games.

Anyway butterfly is an optional boss, but you get so much better at the game when you fight her, I personally went to her and beat her right after juzou (drunken fat big sword guy), and now I'm up to the ape boss which seems really hard.
If you use xbox controller, use xboxce instead. Download 64bit one and before you open it connect your xbox controller first and then open xboxce64 and select controller 1. If it said doesn't have require dll, you need to download it and also controller file from online. Once you completely set, play the game and you may be able to play with controller

The person said they have a 1060 though...I have a 1050ti which is one tier below and the game runs, fine, so it can't be the person's specs. Read the thread first before just telling people they need to upgrade. That's not the solution to every problem, and can be misleading.
I think it's like that you have to select and there is an option at end to got to next and finally start the game, hope this helps. I also was worried when i started first but solved it fast as I saw the option.
Souls as hard as Megaman X, are you crazy? Megaman X is piss easy compared to souls, especially DS 1 or Bloodborne. And no, this doesn't play like Tenchu AT ALL, it plays like Bloodborne with emphasis on parrying/countering instead of dodging
I played dark souls series and i doesn't even die more than 5 times until completion but sekiro, i died more than 2 time just to defeat a guard without armor and using underwear. Can't say it was really hard, if you know the mechanic you will be fine but it takes time. Also, i don't care about that stuff. Atleast i'm having fun playing it~ Also planning to buy the game though since i enjoying it
Try different site to download that specific part, like MegaUp for example. (That site are not too bad despite having alot of popup ads) That usually fix this problem.
This is the third time I've re downloaded everything, and it says part 3 is corrupt as well in the main header archive. Maybe re downloading everything individually will solve it.
in your windows display settings, do you have your text scale set higher than 100%? if so set it back to 100%. i am not sure why, but some games just don't get along with that setting.

LOL same thing happened to me but we are both stupid. Go into inventory and dont flip to the item section stay on the first page when you first open it. There are 3 slots I believe near the bottom you click one and you can select items to equip to use on quick toggle.

This game is harder than dark souls you played, not even a boss but the guard can get you killed if you don't know how to parry correctly because the smarter you are, the smarter enemy be. they can even kick a dust to your face lol . I just love the game, it's challenging like DS but next level . xD . Note Don't smash the keyboard or monitor, they were innocent.
I agree, I played all Souls games before and none of them was as hard as Sekiro... maybe that's the reason many people say that Sekiro =/= Dark Souls. No stupid dash spam to avoid attacks, all you have to do is "git gud" :D
It does seem harder because enemies are capable if you play it like dark souls that is but if you use your mobility to scout, stealth/ kill and use your jump as well as dodge in combat it can be trivial. Just some getting used to for souls fans is all.

Needed some quick help, the game is incredibly laggy and slow with inputs taking sometimes over ten seconds to occur in the game for me. I have lowered graphics to the lowest setting, restarted my computer, restarted the game, reinstalled my drivers all with no affect. My PC is custom built and surpasses the recommended requirements for the game so it is unlikely that this is a system problem, but please let me know what I can do to fix this.
It seems that even on the lowest possible quality, the game is still lagging quite a bit. I had thought earlier it was just the graphics but there is not a big difference between 1920x1080 and 800x600. I am unable to play the game, best thing I can think of is wait for a new driver to be released or if the moderators know a fix for this.

Hey guys. Need some help. Im experiencing major fps drop but only when I get "hit" by an enemy, when the sparks fly. Game runs smooth except for that. Anyone experiencing the same issue? Anyone know a fix? Got a 1060 and an i5 7600k. Tried everything from setting high priority in task manager to editing nvidia control panel stuff but no luck. I'll be forced to do a 0 damage run with this issue. Im not that "elite" lol. Hope somebody can help me.

Dude, I'm not the greatest at the Souls type games, to be honest I'm probably below average and die a lot because I lack patience. So when I tell you this is pretty easy compared to any of the Souls games and Bloodborne, It's time to question your skills as a gamer if you're dying so much. Once you get the rhythm of combat down, much easier to learn than the rest of From games IMO, fighting becomes instinctively easy, and the grappling hook is almost like a cheat code. 🤐
I wouldn't say it's easier than any of the soulsborne games. I mean the bosses in this game are BRUTAL, least the ones i faced so far. You might find it easier because the combat is faster, it's not as...weighty feeling as Soulsborne
Honestly, I find the bosses in this game way easier than other From Software games. Maybe the character feels faster, maybe there are more options to evade, maybe I sometimes have an option to use stealth to weaken an opponent, I dunno...all I know is I'm dying far, far less in this game than any Souls game.

Those of you who are having the error "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged" when trying to open any of the .rar's or trying to extract it, do not use winrar, use 7-Zip instead to extract. If you don't have 7-Zip installed, google it. It is on a .org website, literally "7-Zip .org". Most likely choose the 64bit version; I don't think it matters
downloaded all 3 part 2 different times from google drive, both times 7zip tells me that it can't recognize them as archives. . . so now I'm trying from Megaup, first part took maybe 20 mins to download, part 2 is gonna take 10 hours. . . :(

Same here, runs like butter, rx 580 8gb and ryzen 2600, nothing fancy and not overclocking, game runs great, only problem I came across was the controller but all I had to do was turn the 'Hide DS4 controller' on.

Probably your antivirus quarantined the file. You must open your antivirus and remove the file from quarantine and also add it to an 'exclusion list' to avoid getting it quarantined again. If you can't do this, then disable your antivirus, re-install and disable your antivirus every time you play.
I started playing the game in high settings and I am satisfied no fps drop no crash nothing, and my controller works fine. Steam was open when I played the game no internet though.

EDIT>also you dont have to use Steam or even have it installed. Which is good 1 download and install Antimicro (its a keyboard mod for joypads) 2 map your keys as desire and save(you just click and select which key do you want and where) 3 disconect your keyboard and mouse (l have them both in the same wireless usb input) 4 start Sekiro (using your mapped joypad) 5 configure the keyboard using you now emulated keyboard in teh options section and play the game. I can confirm that it does indeed work with Yakuza 0. And also with Kiwami. I use it for ALL pc games. As long as the game itself supports controllers, then DS4Windows will work

Same as everyone else, I have tested 4 different controllers now and none of them work. I've tried launching the game through steam as a non-steam game to get the big picture controller configuration functionality but the game always launches with the normal steam overlay even when I launch it from big picture mode. Everything else about the game seems great, I just wish I could actually play.

Those are isolated incidents, not a fault of the game but of the people running the game. The majority of people using DS4Windows is running the game just fine with zero issues. So yes, controller support is just fine. not perfect, but just fine

make sure to disable youre firewall before installing the game thats the only thing that worked now im trying to figure out how to get the game to run properly
Inside the iso (where you used the setup.exe) there is a folder called CODEX inside that folder is the crack,copy everything in it and paste it where you installed Sekiro.
Since some people are having lag even on high end gpus, make sure in the nvidia control panel that the exe is using the discrete gpu, instead of the integrated graphics, sometimes the crack will cause the exe to default to integrated graphics.

I'm so close to refund the game, since the stealth mechanics are just wonky. I had way more success jumping on enemies in Dishonored than here. It's not so bad as a game, but I feel like I've had enough after 2 hours. And no, I never died (except to the tutorial boss), so I have no problems with the difficulty. The game just feels shitty at times... but the combat is awesome.

l have an AMD FX8320 and an R7 360 that dosnt even have a 6 pin connection.. lm playing 1080p at high presets smooth as butter... So maybe theres something wrong with your rig

I need some help, folks. I've done everything correctly as far as I know. I installed the codex, copied the crack to the install directory both manually and through the actual installer to see if it made any difference, but still, every time I start the game I get nothing. The game starts, but nothing happens. Just a black screen, no sound, nothing. Usually it then also closes shortly after (but not entirely, it's just minimalized.) I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a bunch of times, even deleted the entire torrent and redownloaded, still nothing. My drivers are up to date. It doesn't seem to be a resolution issue since even resetting resolution through alt + enter doesn't do anything, and I figure that if it was a resolution issue I'd at least hear some sound. I'm at a loss. What do I do?

I found a thing in my windows settings (windows 10) Press Windows+s and type change display settings , enter in the first thing that you see , scroll down and look for ,,graphics settings'' ,after you click on it click on the button ,,browse'' and look for the .exe of the app and select it , then it will apear under the ,,browse'' button.Then click on it , then options and select ,,high performance'' This should help you get more fps in the game
It's window is just white and closes a few seconds after being opened, anyone got a fix for that? Mounted and moved the crack manually and automatically via launcher, but both times just the white screen. shipped directx version installed too, but I just get a whitescreen :/ EDIT: Fixed. Just launch the game in compatibility mode Windows 7 for one time. It'll start normally then; u can change the resolution to your normal one then, and restart. Probably something because of NVIDIA's DSR on a multi-monitor setup, but I could be wrong.
if your 1050 is really a 2GB version you have to work on Graphic settings I have a 1060 3GB everything on high. stable 60FPS without fps Drop(i didn't try Ultra) since my 3GBVram are enough for (all)High settings you can leave some setting at high (probably) anyway i5,i7 or i3 doesn't mean anything you have to write the Model because there could be i3 that are stronger than an i5 or i5 stronger than an i7 Etc.....
i have a i5 7400 3.00 Ghz i don't know why but i can run the game on high settings with 60 fps but it looks the same as when i put it to low and on low it runs at 60 fps too so it seems like i don't change anything with the low-high settings
that depends on your resolution too if you're playing at 720p instead of 1080p you get a moderate Perfomance Boost if you can play at high settings and get 60 fps where is the problem? Enjoy the game! c:Þ

Well I got a lot of fun out of it today, but now my Steam copy is ready and unlocked... When I load it up, I can't load my game. Anyone know where Steam Sekiro's save files are located? I'm thinking I can just paste over it with my codex version game save.
how did you even start your version up? Everytime i want to start your ds4 version microsoft visual 2017 pops up.. The newest ds4 just doesnt work for me, the game won't recognize my controller sadly..
What file are you opening? You gotta go to the 'Releases' section of the github, download the latest http://x64.zip (assuming you're on a 64 bit os), unzip it then run the executable.

Whenever I run the game, the game starts and it's running on like twice on my default resolution, that's why I can only see like 1/8 of the actual game screen, the screen just keep blinking vigorously until the Sekiro screen shows and an activision ToS(?) screen shows I think and I cant skip on that. Any help?
Try modifying the following file: C:\Users\Insert_User\AppData\Roaming\Sekiro\graphicsconfig.xml from FULLSCREEN to WINDOWED or lower the resolution if it is too high for whatever reason. If you change it to windowed you should be able to at least bypass that screen and then in the options change it to Fullscreen again and see if it remedies the problem.
try starting the game and then closing it out if you still have the problem. doing this usually adds a .ini file to the game folder. if it's not in game folder, look for the Steam_emu ini file and look for the game ID. after that, go to your Local Disc drive then Users>Public>Documents>Steam>Codex and look for the correct number. you should see a config file in there to be able to change your graphic settings. this is how I've fixed a few other games, this may help you.
I fixed it by unplugging the other monitor it was trying to display to from my PC, then going in the game to the Video settings and making it 1920x1080. Then I plugged my monitor back in.
It's the full game, there's no such thing as a demo that weighs 15 GB as far as I know, not to mention that IGG doesn't upload demos ever. The download for this game is just small
Download all 3 files. Open one of them with Winrar or 7zip Drag/extract everything inside the window into one folder. If the extracted file is a .iso file, right click it and choose mount. Open the now mounted virtual disc in "This PC" and run the setup file. Choose your preferred games folder or install location, start menu settings, etc. Check "Copy contents of CODEX folder to installed dir" Click install. Wait Play from shortcut on desktop If the extracted files do not contain a .iso and instead a .exe setup file, run that. To be short, yes, to be more in depth for future reference here is a short explanation of how the files are archived. The way these files work is that they are always compressed ISO files which is a copy of a emulated disk drive. They are stored in WinRAR Archives to meet standards by the scene industry (yes there are standards)...Either way, you may have other RAR files within RAR files and then the ISO in the rar files... to break it down. You Download 3 Parts and I'm going to call them Sekiro part 1 rather than Sekiro Shadow Die Twice - Codex Part 1 for brevity sake. Sekiro Part 1.rar Sekiro Part 2.rar Sekiro Part 3.rar You extract those files and they become Sekiro Part 1 - Part 15.rar and then extract those files and then will get the ISO file which is the main focus. Each time you do need them to be in the same folder, since each part feeds off of the last part to create the 15 gigabyte ISO file from the 15 individual rar files which started out as the 3 rar files (to make it easier for you to access the 15 files). Once you have extracted the first 3 files to get the next 15 files OR in many cases you will get the ISO before getting a second set of RAR files you can delete the first 3 parts that are 5 gigs each as you no longer need those. Once you have the ISO you double click it to mount it in Windows and then go to the new drive letter and run the setup.exe for the installer.

Most torrents just contain the .ISO file and you will just double click it and it will create a new drive in Windows and you can access that drive and run setup and when you are done with the ISO right click on the drive and click "Eject"

Sorry I didn't see your message and hope you got it figured out by now but if not am happy to help. Ok you don't need to eject until the game is installed and working, that is just so you don't have the virtual drive showing up on your computer. It sounds like you got the game installed. If steam launches it sounds like you didn't apply the crack. Remount the ISO. Go into the virtual drive and locate the CODEX folder and you will see a directory or several files, and then you COPY those files over the ORIGINAL files that you installed from the ISO's setup.exe. Basically just think of it as the setup installed the main game, but you need the CODEX crack files to be able to play the cracked version. ADDITIONALLY, you can run the setup.exe and there is an option that says something to the effect of "Copy crack to main folder" (sorry I dont have any thing to compare it to right now) that copies those files over during the install process without having you go into the mounted ISO to do it yourself.
Nah, turns out it was actually because I was playing Watch Dogs while the download was running. Even when it's cracked, Watch Dogs apparently still connects to the internet, and takes up a lot of the bandwidth too
it work but come with input delay. at first i didn't know that until i start having a hard time try to parry enemy attack (and that is some thing you have to do the whole game). in the end it seem that only xbox controller that have less delay and playable.
you can force to use it with ds4 emu but..................wwell it have input delay in game. i gave up after i found it very hard to parry/counter enemy with it. switch back to xbox controller again...sad.

I have a i7 7700k, I can't imagine that's the problem. I'm also playing on 4k max setting, so GPU should be the bottleneck not CPU. CPU is at 15% usage and GPU at 5% usage.

I figured out the problem, it was because I got 2 monitors plugged into the graphics card at the same time. Not sure why that's a problem but after unplugging my secondary monitor, everything is running at 60FPS 4k now. Phewwww.
Right click on Sekiro shortcut -> execute with graphic proccess -> it leads you to nvidial panel, then add sekiro to programs to run with your GTX 1080 Ti.

does this have some special settings to lower the graphics for less lag like you could do in dmc5 with lowering directx12 to 11 and coupl of other things? the config just shows the same that I see in game? dmc5 was laggy for me at first till i did those changes.
Its EASY with a keyboard and mouse, don't listen to anyone else. If you know how to play games on a keyboard and mouse, you will not have any issues with the game. The only game I've EVER had to resort to playing on a controller with was the first Dark Souls only because it had terrible keyboard and mouse controls and of course fighting games. I was having the problem with the controller so I tried it with keyboard and mouse for a while and was parrying without any problems. You like attack with the left mouse, and then parry with the right mouse.

Weird. I try to add Part 1 of the three files to my Google Drive account and it gets stuck on adding the file. However, the other two got added fine. I already made copies of them and downloaded the copies while the first file is still stuck on adding. 🤨 EDIT: For some reason, 5 minutes later when the file stops saying it's still adding, it pops up saying there was a problem adding the file. Ugh all of the posted ds4 fixes aren't working for me. Inputmapper and ds4windows both fail to enter "exclusive mode" successfully, even after trying other fixes I found online. However, the game detects my Xbox One controller fine. (The A button just sticks sometimes so I avoid using it much, lol)

I found a fix for your problem. C:\Users\Insert_User\AppData\Roaming\Sekiro\graphicsconfig.xml change it to windowed to see if you can at least get past this screen and go into the options and change it back to full screen.

I tried the apps you posted and had no positive results. I couldn't run the Settings thing because it said "Service" needed to be running, but I'd run the Service app and that would change nothing. I tried the SCP Driver Installer and it said my DS4 didn't need any drivers updated.
its already installed at that point, you don't need to run anything. I didn't need to reboot or do anything and I'm on Windows 10. All I did was plug my controller in (Sekiro was already loaded since I was trying ds4 windows fixes) and it started to work fine once the installer was done. I skipped all the "warning" steps and most drivers said they were already installed (DS 4 apparently handles the same emulation).

You can add any NON STEAM GAME to Steam through a button that says "Add Non Steam Game" in the button left of your library. This allows you to use things like controller emulation in some titles among other things but the main reason is just allowing you to have an easier way to access all of your games. In this case, adding the game to steam allows you to have the controller configuration options you wanted. I tried all of those and it didn't work for me earlier until I tried the only thing that worked for me but sounds like others are having success.

Bro, scroll down in the comments. Someone uploaded 3 more gdrive links. You just have to add them to your drive on the top right and make a copy of each file, then download the copies.
I got the DS 4 controller working with the game finally. I figured there was an alternative XInput wrapper since DS4windows is failing us. https://github.com/nefarius/ScpToolkit/releases The controller no longer spins and every button works.
While going through the install only install the virtual bus driver, you don't need to use a bluetooth dongle so just click the intiialize during the 2 driver install steps (it sounds like you finished the install, the 5 apps are just a driver cleaner and a reinstall driver and a settings manager nothing malware). Once it is "installed" as long as you got no errors, thats it. You now have the driver installed and can just plug your controller in without having to launch any application.
maybe your GDRIVE is full, delete the parts that u already downloaded and try again with part3, but clean the recycle bin too or the space ll not be free

Yes I am, fortunately i was able to resolve the problem myself already, instead of using winRAR (Which showed me Archive Damage/Corruption) i just used 7zip which was able to unpack the files just fine!

If you are receiving sorry, quota exceeded errors on google drive remember you can add the item to your drive from the page prior (to left of the download icon in the top right) and then go to your google drive, and right click on the file and click "Make a Copy" and then right click your copy of *.rar and download the file.
The Souls game are pretty difficult but they have a larger emphasis on levelling up a character and finding armor and items to make yourself stronger, whereas this game has a focus on learning the mechanics of combat, knowing when to use stealth, and there are skills as you progress to make things more manageable in combat. I think you will have a good time even if it is frustrating and you die a lot, because the fun of these games is knowing that you are getting better when before you stood no chance and got easily killed by enemies that you find weaker after learning how to play.

you have extracted the files now the game come in three states one is playable right out of the files
the second you have to run the install program that comes with it
the third is an iso format which you need to run the iso with a program like Daemon Tools Lite
now note make sure you check if the games comes cracked or with a crack file or folder to crack the game

For Downloading the main file, I suggest you use the torrent link.
Updates V1.03 and V1.04 works fine (for updating the game)
If you have errors, "Maybe" there's something wrong with how you install and transfer the updated files.
Q2: Even in the torrent link (for the main file) its unrecoverable? I thought you'll mount the Iso file for installing the game (main file). You don't need to wait for re-downloading the game again for torrent link right?
For me when I update any kind of game I would go to the update folder then lunch the "setup" application. After installing updates I would transfer the codex files (that replaces the old ones from the main file) to the main folder.
I haven't tried updating Sekiro myself because I saw your comment about the update files. I'll try it myself and see if it works or not for mine. I'll let you know how it goes.
Im still playing Sekiro until now, I haven't got any problems with mine.
I downloaded my main file using the torrent link, then the updates with MegaUp and http://Mega.nz "maybe" there's something wrong with the files on the link.
All drivers are updated. I re-downloaded the game content and the update. Same error. I'll just buy this again perhaps. I'm not in a rush on beating the game again.

That's exactly what I did. If you haven't done this already, try to Google the error name and install the .dll files required to make the error go away, then throw them in the Sekiro installation folder.

It absolutely has nothing to do with using 7zip or winrar, if anything 7zip is better than winrar by 100 fold.
All you have to do is re-download the part that if "corrupted', put it in the same folder or where ever you download the files to, and it should work.
This legit happens to me all the time because I download games to a flash drive since I don't have net at home and download from else where.

If you're using Nvidia then do step #3, worked for me.
Step 1. Go to part 1 of the Google Drive Link
Step 2. Up in the top, right hand corner, there should be an option to add it to your personal Google Drive, it should say... Add to Drive, or something along those lines.
Step 3. Go to your Google Drive, and find the file that you just added to your drive, right click it, and click Make a Copy. Bare in mind, if your Drive is full you might have to delete some stuff to free up some space.
Step 4. Download the COPY of the file that you just made.
Step 5. Repeat steps 1-4 for parts 2 & 3.
Step 6. Make a folder for these files, name it Sekiro, or something.
Step 7. DRAG & DROP the 3 Winrar files into that 1 folder that you just made, highlight ALL of them, right click, extract here.
Step 8. Mount the ISO file that was made in the folder to your disk, if you have Windows 10, just right click, and click mount.
Step 9. Open up the mounted installer that was just made for you, set your install location, and select Create Desktop Shortcut if you wish. In the installer, there is an option to put the crack folder in the game folder automatically as soon as its done installing, should say something like, Put Crack in Dir, or something like that, CHECK IT.
Step 10. Install, & enjoy <:

Web Browsers tends to create errors in archives while downloading, having a download manager reduces this risk alot as they can resume downloads.
You can try rebooting computer too, sometimes operating system can cause weird bugs like that.
Also verify if your Hard Drive is not full... Like if your hard drive is full at 80-90% sometimes that can cause problems even if your hard drive still have enough space to download the files.

copy all files from CODEX which is inside of iso and past it in your game folder where you installed the game and press Replace the files in the destination

Just enter the game, wait the out of bound mensage appear, then press ALT + ENTER for playing the game in windowed mode, then proceed to the game options, make some changes and save them, then in the APPDATA/ROAMING/SEKIRO a XML file named GraphicConfig will apear.
Open it with notepad, and in the lines:
Resolution-FullScreenWidth>XXX
XXX
you edit where the XXX is and change this for the resolution of your monitor, then save and play the game, it will work :)

5 configure the keyboard using you now emulated keyboard in teh options section and play the game.

Go to device manager -> Human Interface Devices and disable any bluetooth or virtual controllers. I had a bluetooth device and VJoy device that I had to disable for my controller to work.

Just launch the game in compatibility mode Windows 7 for one time. It'll start normally then; u can change the resolution to your normal one then, and restart.

from FULLSCREEN to WINDOWED or lower the resolution if it is too high for whatever reason. If you change it to windowed you should be able to at least bypass that screen and then in the options change it to Fullscreen again and see if it remedies the problem.

Drag/extract everything inside the window into one folder.
If the extracted file is a .iso file, right click it and choose mount.
Open the now mounted virtual disc in "This PC" and run the setup file.

Check "Copy contents of CODEX folder to installed dir"
Click install.

The way these files work is that they are always compressed ISO files which is a copy of a emulated disk drive. They are stored in WinRAR Archives to meet standards by the scene industry (yes there are standards)...Either way, you may have other RAR files within RAR files and then the ISO in the rar files... to break it down.
You Download 3 Parts and I'm going to call them Sekiro part 1 rather than Sekiro Shadow Die Twice - Codex Part 1 for brevity sake.

You extract those files and they become Sekiro Part 1 - Part 15.rar and then extract those files and then will get the ISO file which is the main focus.
Each time you do need them to be in the same folder, since each part feeds off of the last part to create the 15 gigabyte ISO file from the 15 individual rar files which started out as the 3 rar files (to make it easier for you to access the 15 files).
Once you have extracted the first 3 files to get the next 15 files OR in many cases you will get the ISO before getting a second set of RAR files you can delete the first 3 parts that are 5 gigs each as you no longer need those.
Once you have the ISO you double click it to mount it in Windows and then go to the new drive letter and run the setup.exe for the installer.
i did this once forgetting to install the crack and steam launched, i think that is a good sign so then i after that i installed the crack and still get the error message
Ok you don't need to eject until the game is installed and working, that is just so you don't have the virtual drive showing up on your computer. It sounds like you got the game installed. If steam launches it sounds like you didn't apply the crack.
Remount the ISO.
Go into the virtual drive and locate the CODEX folder and you will see a directory or several files, and then you COPY those files over the ORIGINAL files that you installed from the ISO's setup.exe. Basically just think of it as the setup installed the main game, but you need the CODEX crack files to be able to play the cracked version.
ADDITIONALLY, you can run the setup.exe and there is an option that says something to the effect of "Copy crack to main folder" (sorry I dont have any thing to compare it to right now) that copies those files over during the install process without having you go into the mounted ISO to do it yourself.

EDIT: I found the solution, it's because I have 2 monitors plugged into my GPU and it got confused somehow. Now after I unplug my second monitor, it's running at beautiful 60FPS 4K. IM SO EXCITED, I can't even. Thanks guys for trying to help me!
i have an xbox controller but i am a natural K + M user
I was having the problem with the controller so I tried it with keyboard and mouse for a while and was parrying without any problems.
You like attack with the left mouse, and then parry with the right mouse.
dark souls was more harder than this using K + M tbh
it was very frustrating
in my case, my 360 controller wasn't working because it thought my mini
bluetooth keyboard was the controller. when i unplugged it it worked
immediately w/ no configurations

EDIT: For some reason, 5 minutes later when the file stops saying it's still adding, it pops up saying there was a problem adding the file. Then when I take a look in my Google Drive, I see the second file added instead of the first. 🙄

1.Create a account in Google drive(its free).
2.LeftClick on the download-link,it will say too many user/viewer
3:LeftClick in the address bar/line,it should look like this:

4.Now you have darker screen where you can see download etc..
In the right upper corner are 4 icons/symbols,choose/leftclick the first one,it should say something like my drive and then leftclick again.
5.Now you are in your account of G-Drive and you see the download (usually the file-name).RightClick on it,choose make a copy.
6.Now you see a copy of the file,rightclick on the copy and choose download.
ANNDD THATS IT. I hope it will help you all.
PS.:Just remember after the Download to delete all the files in your account(also the ones in the bin),
because the free account has space-limitations("only 15 GB")
PPS.:Maybe you have to rename(take out the copy part)of the downloaded game Example: Copy of Metro.part1.rar to Metro.part1.rar

It worked for part 1, but when I try part 2 or 3 I am repeatedly getting the weirdest errors.
I figured there was an alternative XInput wrapper since DS4windows is failing us.

The controller no longer spins and every button works.
Once it is "installed" as long as you got no errors, thats it. You now have the driver installed and can just plug your controller in without having to launch any application.
