Please help. I already adjusted the input settings for keyboard but when i play the game. my character can only move when i move it up and right. the left and down doesn't work. i tried many times to change it in any button in the keyboard but its still the same. But when in battle, the movements are okay that it can move in any direction, but when not in battle, my character can only move up and right. I hope someone can help me
I had the same issue. Go to the input settings and restore it to default. Then if you use an AZERTY keyboard, press Alt+Maj to switch to the QWERTY keyboard. Don't know if it's working for everyone but it did for me.
The version of Persona 5 and The Caligula Effect are not similar in the sense of gameplay and story, Both are good ideas from Atlus and FURYU Corporation

Go in the game's directory>Engine>Binaries>ThirdParty>Steamworks>Steam139>Win64, open Steam_emu.ini with a text editor, under Settings change language to english
The game was in Japanese at first for me as well, likely because Japanese was set as my system locale. I had to uninstall the game and reinstall it after changing my system locale to English, but now the game is finally in English. There might be an easier way to change the language, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
To play games that require my language in japanese, I use Locale Emulator https://pooi.moe/Locale-Emulator/ Just choose the Japanese language and run the program as japanese. No need to change the computer language

There are like zero similarities, both in gameplay and story. Disgaea is 100% turn based, no action, no real time, no delay tactic rpg. This is an hybrid It's more like a much more complex version of ff10's battle system. It beats Disgaea in this regard, but the combat is a bit too slow for the amount of figths you'll do. Too few moves, many common buffs and debuffs between characters and bad tutorials tho
Disgaea is 100% turn based, not "continuous style in battle" whatever that means. Disgaea is a strategy rpg. Saying this is kinda like disgaea because it's turn based is like saying skyrim is kinda like mario because you can jump.

This wasn't really discussed, but this game was apparently created by the man behind the original Persona games, namely; the first and both parts of the second. The original was more threadbare aside from the dreamworld aspects, but the second game was much deeper and arguably has one of the best stories in the series. So considering that this is the guy who brought us Persona at a much more mature level, the man arguably responsible for the whole damn thing in the first place. You know, before P3 came out and everything went mainstream. While it no doubt will contain inspiration from the modern Persona, this game is basically the creator of the original Persona series giving a middle finger to Atlus for turning his story into a trendy dance party thing. Not that P3-P5 aren't good games, but Caligula Effect is what the creator really wanted to make after P2. And I really like that the object seems to be escaping high school, because I don't think the original creator ever wanted the series to be just a high school based RPG and is poking fun at that here. So it's a bit disengenious to say that Caligula Effect is a "Persona Clone" because this is coming from the man who created the whole concept to begin with. Without him, the whole thing might not even have existed, period. Simply put, it is Persona as it was meant to be, rather than what it became. And I pre-ordered it. Just came here to see what the responses were. 😉
Correction: The Persona related staff member who worked on this was NOT the creator of the Persona games. Tadashi Satomi, who wrote the story for this game, was a SCENARIO WRITER for the first 3 persona games. He wrote scenarios and characters, he didn't create Persona. And apparently he also worked on Digital Devil Saga though he worked off someone else's scenario

I heard that some of the staff with Persona 1&2 were part of the development of this game. Persona 5 may come to pc and I don't see others coming to pc so why not enjoy a clone for a change. Devil may cry came first then came Bayonetta and I enjoy both games.
