if your game crashing when starting a campaign or crashing when starting a game you can try to delete shogun 2 file from appdata but it will delete all your saved game data so copy the save game file first at least it work for me and some other people
Try the download on the torrent IGG site, it works for me.
You have to extract the file until you see "Shogun2" in the Total War Shogun 2 > game > folder with a hat icon. If it has no icon, you have to extract it again. The game will only load if you open it from the folder, not a shortcut. When you open the game, start spamming Esc/Space, mouse click, etc., or it will crash on loading screen. But if you do that, it will load and play fine.

You have to move the files in one of the folders of the installer into the game file first. Which includes the exe. file you're actually looking for, it looks the same as the Shogun2.exe, if its not there then it might have something to do with you antivirus.
How do you use the launcher? The other total war games I have can be launched through the launcher, this one does not though, I can still play the game but if there is a way I would very much want to have mods in my campaign.
Only the first part's ISO file contains useful stuffs for me, the other ISO files generate data errors as I tried to extract them. I extracted the ISO file in the first part and the setup is telling me that it has error copying files that are corrupted. I assume that the ISO files are the sources of error to this. Any advices?
I can't launch the game. when i launch the .exe it says that it is not the .exe that im looking for. I tried to launch the launcher but the launcher said (failed to initialize steam, are you running steam?) I dont know what to do. Is the game supposed to open up on steam? Had to reinstall because game suddenly stopped opening (eerily the day after adding a mod file into data), and it just usually started after 15 seconds or so, without opening steam. So reinstalled, copied files from prophet folder into main folder (including steam api files), and now it has to open steam? And even after opening steam, it just takes me to the page where I have to purchase the game.
I downloaded the game, installed it and copied everything from the prophet folder into the game directory and when I click on the application(exe file) nothing happens. Even waited like 12 min see if it is just slow starting.
It's just necessary that you copy the files from the PROPHET folder (inside the .iso file) into the installation folder. Now you can run the Shogun2.exe file
the PROPHET folder is not in the .iso file. When I launch the .iso it just opens up an install application. I can launch neither the launcher (it says that my steam is not open) nor the .exe (it says it is not the application im looking for)

After extracting all files you must go into the PROPHET folder which is in another file from the downloads. From their drag all those files in to the game files. (Right click the game shortcut icon and press game files) After doing so click the new exe inside the files and enjoy. It will take a few minutes to first load up
I can't get the game to launch. I have the game installed and copied all the files from prophet to the game folder. even when I "Run as Admin" nothing happens. antivirus is disabled as well.
I have a problem here, i installed so many crack games from CODEX to IGG, but for shogun 2, I have a problem, whenever I choose a faction from rise of samurai to fall of samurai including the main game, it crashes during the loading scene. The historical and custom battle works fine. Any solution to this? I'm running this on Windows 10
Ty man, it's worked perfectly in windows 10. It's contained like the list above, cause i didn't expect of fallen samurai too. Just need to copy crack from "prophet" folder to shogun folder and restart my laptop. Recommended!

That happy moment, when you get it to work after 2 hours of messing with the files, this sure was not easy. So a step by step of what I did is...
make a folder, name it something nice, extract all the files that you downloaded into it.

Take all those files Manual, PROPHET, Setup, Setup 1-9 all that, and move them into your folder with all the extracted files, mine is named TotWaSHOGSHO2Comple.

I can't remember If It appeared after I ran setup, but I got a folder called "Total War - Shogun 2". In this folder is all the files you need but 1-2. DO NOT TOUCH the Shogun2 or Shogun2.dll, these are dummy files (or at least the first of the 2 is). You can click on them, just don't copy them over. Take all the files but those 2, and maybe not the uninstall one, and move them all into your PROPHET file.
Open your PROPHET file, click on Shogun2, this is your launcher, assuming you didn't copy over the dummy one, if you click on it, it will tell you what you need to launch it.
From somewhere that I can't find, I got folders called awsomium_cache, benchmarks, data, launcher, locales, miles, redist. I put these into my PROPHET folder with possibly some other files. And my game works when I click Shogun2 under the PROPHET folder. I hope this helps, leave a reply if you figure out where to get some of the files (probably from Setup)

figured out number 7. the files you need are wherever you saved the game to. for me they are in drive C:, program files (86X), (publishers name), (game). Stick these files into your Prophet folder and run the game, wallah!
I had the same prioblem as all of you. You have to move all the files in the prophet folder to the folder that gets created when you install the game. Then launch Shogun2.exe
thats not a problem. thats called copying the crack files into the game data. thats cracking a game. you know, the thing the directions say to do on nearly every single game?

I got to ask you guys are you all that dumb really how hard is it to download extract the files then normally for a game like this it comes with a ISO so mount them all to different drives okay then look through all the mounted files and look for a cracked folder should not be that hard to find unless your blind okay now i find it easy to do this copy and paste all files/folders from mounted and then paste them into another folder name it what ever you like okay install the game then copy and paste all the files/folders from the main game where it was installed to okay now paste them to the new folder okay now open that new folder and click that exe and it should run without a problem if it keeps coming up with errors then you don't listen shut off your virus protector in till all downloaded extracted and installed then you can turn it back on and normally the virus system might scan and ask you do you want to keep or run these files or etc that may be harmful to your computer click yes or what ever comes up that will let it know that you want to keep these files and folders on the computer all anti viruses come with an option that will let you switch to where you can chose what is aloud to run on your computer so every time your download stuff the system will let you know and you can accept those files and folders to be aloud to run or download onto your computer so after you have done all the coping and pasting then like i said go into the new folder and click on the exe and the game should start up... I have noticed some times that some cracked folders will stay inside of the winzip program and no matter how hard you try you can never copy or paste the folder to another place let alone extract it to another folder every time your try it keeps removing it from winzip but if you open it again it keeps showing the cracked folder but won't let you have it
Can anyone confirm whether this release includes all DLCs and Fall of the Samurai expansion? Or should I go for the PROPHET release which claims to include the features I mentioned above?

I don't understand, when i want to copy the file steam_api_ext.dll from PROPHET to the game directory, a pop up say "access denied" "you need an autorisation" while i'm administrator. i can do what i want with the 5 other file in PROPHET folder. Exactly the same thing happen on the game Civilization V and i don't understand why...
I think this one is the full version of the game with all the DLCs, however, Fall of the Samurai is not considered as a DLC imo as it does not require the original shogun 2 game to run it which means two of them are actually two separate games. Hope that explained it :)
