This is a really poorly done game without a proper save function. So if you get one of the failed it is best to just ctrl shift esc out and end it then start again.
There have been a few comments regarding towards whether or not this is safe and I do agree that the Simplex installer does seem questionable, but if you don't want to run that then a simple CLI on wherever the .bin file is stored should work: "C:\RandomPath\unarc.exe" x -o+ -dp"C:\Tech Support Error Unknown/Tech Support Error Unknown" simplex.bin So if you want to still get the files without the ever touching the installer, just run that command. So you forgot read the how to install games section, that say you have to turn off AV and win defender before, extraction and before install. Basic rule. Your SIMPLEX.exe(setup) deleted.
so there are the simplex.exe and unarc.exe, if i choose simplex, it downloads the "game" but when i click on the shortcut, it says "windows is searching for techsupport.exe" and when i try searching the "techsupport.exe" thing doesnt appear anywhere. with the unarc.exe nothing happens.
Everything is tested and scanned before being uploaded, this website is virus free. If you get a trojan, it's false positive, like explained http://igg-games.com/virus-trojan.html.

Idk if it's got anything to do with this, but just to point it out that it [MIGHT] contain some unorthodox stuff. Please someone make sure this isn't the case and it must've been my stupid ass cause I love the website but now it's getting kinda sketchy. <3 much love
I do agree that it does appear sketchy, but that only seems to be from one file and that's the Simplex Installer. I have checked the status of the other files and no problems (except for the verified false positives) show or any other signs of malicious coding appear either. However, after analyzing the installer process, you can actually install the files without the need to run the Simplex installer at all. Is the simplex.bin in the same directory as the unarc.exe? Also, on a side note, you can use FreeArc if you want a gui explorer of the packages inside. Just do note that FreeArc installer has a 50/50 chance of working if so choose to use it though.

you can use the add to drive and make a copy workaround, or use one of the other hosts as the download is only 163.1Mb so it shouldnt take long even with a slower connection
How is it possible to update it to v1.013 if it's not even out yet? And the last version was about 350 MB in size. This version is only about 160 MB in size. --> ?
This game is good, but too boring for me. I play PC Building Simulator (I bought it on steam because doesn't work from IGG), it is also repetitive but I love it !
nah, the other game "nite team 4" is similar to hacknet, but i wouldn't call it a ripoff because its good enough to be its own thing, this game seems more like a hack themed visual novel, and based on steam reviews its very buggy and boring so im waiting for updates
this game, to be fair, i havnt played it just going off steam reviews people say theres alot of easy ways to lock yourself out of story paths and alot of grindy work inbetween makes getting multiple endings not much fun. but feel free to try it out and let me know what you think(:
