I've just installed the game, and it works fine, i don't know if you may install just the last update, but i installed all of them in sequence and each one works perfectly. The procedure is basically install the update and then copy all the files inside the folder "CODEX" and paste in the directory the game is installed, do the same for the next update. Good Luck

When i try to execute the game, it says that "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000009a). Click OK to close the application.", also i noticed that the steamclient64.dll was removed after every attemp to run the game, and if i try to open again without paste the steamclient64.dll again, it says "The code execution cannot proceed because steamclient64.dll was not found. Since the new update, my game crashes upon starting and I get an crash report message without a description, that tells me to send it to Firaxis. Can I fix this? This first occured after I installed update 1.0.0.341
There's two separate ways to fix this issue: 1: Manually move the codex folder and its content to the right folder, which I actually don't know which fold that is. 2: Go back to whenever you initially installed it and reinstall except this time make sure you have the box next to "Copy Codex Content" checked and it'll do it for you.

When I try to start the game, it says "Steam is required to run the game. Please start Steam and try again." But, when I try to run steam, the same thing happens.
The game launch correctly. But when I load a new game, after the loading screen with the ruler, the following message occurs "graphics card error. please check that your display drivers are up-to-date"... You have to extract all the Zip files (part 1,part 2,part 3 together) Then there ll be probably be a iso file which you want to connect (right click on the .iso file) (You can also use programs that connect .iso files for you, just i dont know any good ones. ) In the "CD" there will be an setup.exe (probably) so you want to run that and start the installation. Depending on the setup/crack publisher, there could be a window that says - Automaticaly put crack files into game directory. IF it is there click it and it will automatically crack the game. If not, you want to go into the crack folder (still in the "CD" folder) and copy everything there and place it into our Civ VI installation directory. After that the game should run fine with no problems. Have fun playing!

I finally found a way to install and play with the 328 update:
Install the game without "Copy content of CODEX directory to installdir" checked and in a directory shortly named "CivilizationVI". Don't run the game.
Copy the content of each update (CODEX and Update directories) in a short named directory too (like "CivVI.update.314"). Same for 317 and 328 updates.
Install the 314 update without "Copy content of CODEX directory to installdir" checked. Don't run the game.
Install the 317 update without "Copy content of CODEX directory to installdir" checked. Don't run the game.
Install the 328 update this time with "Copy content of CODEX directory to installdir" checked. Don't run the game.
Block the game launchers with your firewall ("CivilizationVI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI.exe" and "CivilizationVI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI_DX12.exe").
Launch the DX11 or DX12 launcher of the game you prefer. It works!

You probably are trying to open it before its completely done. Download it and wait a second after its done. Then try again. I just downloaded it and it extracted just fine...

Nobody deleted any of your comments, they were just set as spam because the word "virus" is on the restricted words list. Stop acting like we're trying to give people viruses. You're not getting a virus. it's called a False Positive. It's what happens when an antivirus software thinks the crack files are a virus and then gives a warning. What you need to do is either blacklist the files in your antivirus so that they won't get deleted or turn off the antivirus before you install the game. Either way works.

SOLUTION!!: After hours of fidgeting, uninstalling/reinstalling, copying save folder from one PC to another, I finally found the problem... My antivirus wasnt allowing the program to create files on the computer, so I changed the settings - and now the game saves!!

If you are having problems getting this to start I have a possible solution. Go into whatever Security Program you have (McAfee for me) and exclude "steamclient64.dll" from quarantine. This solved my problem as every time I tried to start it I got an error and noticed the file had been removed. Hope this helps. EDIT: The file is located in "Sid Meiers Civilization VI Gathering Storm\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam" & is typically at the bottom

"steamclient64.dll" is automatically being flag by whichever Protection Service you have, you need to go in and exclude it so its not quarantined. If you do not do this it will be removed every time you try to launch the game and you will get that error. Hope this helps.
the crack files are in the .iso that is used to install the game, while its mounted open file explorer, open the drive its mounted to, open the crack folder, there are 2 folders in there that you need to copy/paste to where the game was installed
via the installer, there is a checkable box that states something like "copy content of CODEX into installation folder". check that box and run the installer once more.

Update: For anyone who may have made the same mistake as me. You must make sure you copy the contents (files) of both folders to the main game directory. Do not copy just the folders or it will not work. Simple oversee. You're welcome.
In the crack folder there are two folders. Copy the contents of both folders into the game directory. It worked for me. I originally copied the folders because of force of habit which does not work.
I installed and cracked the game but after I tried to play it stopped working after 1-2 turns, the game was there but the image was all black with colors appearing everywhere and sometimes parts of the game like the menu.

Ok so if you had it installed already (previous versions and expansions) delete that. Make sure no mods are on. Then reinstall completely separate, since this file is not an expansion. It's the full game with everything included, a standalone. What happened to a lot is people just install into their old Civ VI game and try to merge conflicting files. After you reinstall, make sure you paste the crack from CODEX folder properly - open CODEX folder and then copy and paste/overwrite all files in the folder to the main CIV VI directory. Obviously make sure you're not trying to connect to steam or whatever. If it still doesn't work, let me know.There shouldn't be any .dll files missing. If they are, it's probably your antivirus doing something stupid.

Hello first thank you for the game you are awesome. But I have a problem when I start the game I arrive on a launcher and I didn't have DLC. Steam asks me to login and it starts the base game thank you for your answers.
Installed it in a seperate folder, started up fine. It says Rise & Fall. Double checked everything, game files only has Rise & Fall stuff in it. It's not Gathering Storm, it's Rise & Fall you're downloading. Waste of space if you already have R&F.

To answer common comments: -This includes ALL DLC; When I installed, I created a new Civ 6 Folder and installed there. -Torrent really is faster, by a ton of hours. -No Trojans whatsoever in this torrent. -Under game options, you can select 11 different languages other than English. -oXygen xml editor enables players to edit game code to make various changes, but I don't multiplayer, so no clue if that affects that. If you 'break' the game doing this, you can just uninstall/reinstall. You all can bash the game for it's state if you want; I'll just manually change what I don't like and enjoy. Don't bother replying to this, I'm not going to help troubleshoot. Thank you very much to IGG for one of my favorite games!
I've downloaded twice, from other links and then Google Drive, but it's only Rise and Fall despite being named everywhere as Gathering Storm? Am I missing something? EDIT: Solved, simple fix but it was a bit confusing as I saw Gathering Storm assets being installed but not showing. If you ran mods be sure to disable them all, and then enable all dlcs, Gathering Storm will be included. Maybe someone else will have the same issue I did as it wasn't enabled by default.
If the Google Drive doesn't work -> Save to your GDrive - > Go to GDrive, make a copy of the file, download the copy. Rinse and repeat for the rest of the files and delete as needed to free up storage.

Thats incorrect, you can play with the steamworks fix ( i would use a second steam account just to be extra safe) it runs CIV6 under a game called 'SpaceWar' which lets you right click and join a friends lobby
If you can't download from google drive, make sure you have a google account, and add the parts to your drive. Then go to your drive, make copies of those files there, and you can download them freely afterwards. Edit : It seems Google have patched this little exploit, I can't download the copy i made for the first part like this, the other two worked though. I guess i'll have to download the first part from Mega. Second Edit : I made a copy of the copy of the first part, and it let me download it :D
Yes, I'm having problems too. The first and third parts are now downloading from copies i made in my Gdrive, but the second part doesn't want to copy. It says error copying this file, and the download quota exceeded. Hmmm I guess i'll have to download the second part from Mega.

You're not getting a virus. it's called a False Positive. It's what happens when an antivirus software thinks the crack files are a virus and then gives a warning. What you need to do is either blacklist the files in your antivirus so that they won't get deleted or turn off the antivirus before you install the game. Either way works.
Any idea how to fix this? I'd appreciate it.
When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something?
If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.

Either way you should uninstall the game and install it again.
Make sure you delete your mods folder too.
I unistalled and reistaled and still it is the same.
Do u know where on the PC are supposed to be the saved games? I did not find any folder for this on my PC.
At first I installed the game from google drive and the second time from the torrent.

After hours of fidgeting, uninstalling/reinstalling, copying save folder from one PC to another, I finally found the problem...
My antivirus wasnt allowing the program to create files on the computer, so I changed the settings - and now the game saves!!

personally almost every game i download from this page has corrupted or broken .dll files, so i just download that .dll file and place it in-game folder. try maybe it'll fix for ya

delete that. Make sure no mods are on. Then reinstall completely
separate, since this file is not an expansion. It's the full game with
everything included, a standalone. What happened to a lot is people just
install into their old Civ VI game and try to merge conflicting files.
After you reinstall, make sure you paste the crack from CODEX folder
properly - open CODEX folder and then copy and paste/overwrite all files in the folder to the main CIV VI directory.
Obviously make sure you're not trying to connect to steam or
whatever. If it still doesn't work, let me know.There shouldn't be any .dll files missing. If they are, it's probably your antivirus doing something stupid.

Also it might be because a lot of ppl are downloading it.
I was able to download it, and the game works fine(:
-This includes ALL DLC; When I installed, I created a new Civ 6 Folder and installed there.
-Torrent really is faster, by a ton of hours.
-No Trojans whatsoever in this torrent.
-Under game options, you can select 11 different languages other than English.
-oXygen xml editor enables players to edit game code to make various changes, but I don't multiplayer, so no clue if that affects that. If you 'break' the game doing this, you can just uninstall/reinstall. You all can bash the game for it's state if you want; I'll just manually change what I don't like and enjoy.
Don't bother replying to this, I'm not going to help troubleshoot.

EDIT: Solved, simple fix but it was a bit confusing as I saw Gathering Storm assets being installed but not showing. If you ran mods be sure to disable them all, and then enable all dlcs, Gathering Storm will be included. Maybe someone else will have the same issue I did as it wasn't enabled by default.
