the game has to connect to a server owned by the game developer. At that point, it's trivial for them to confirm whether you have an original or pirated copy. When you pirate it you mostly get a crippled version, so you have to buy it.

FIXED : just had to disable windows defender, i think it was marking the save file as false positive and just deletes it.

You always play offline unless you enter online mode. Now if you buy it, which I do not recommend, since nobody plays it, you will only find empty servers, so don't worry, whether you play online or not, it will be like playing offline
It's a rare sight that a division from Bandai insists to make additional contents completely free... I've never seen paid DLC from Project GE, so they have my respect. (Bought GE2 and Resurrection on PS4 and Steam, so forgive me not buying this one. XDrz) The game works perfectly for me since its initial release (good thing is I have an i7-4790, sorry folks!) Just one thing I don't understand... ToV costume and hairstyle are invisible while Code Vein dress and all others are fine, wondering what is causing the problem.
To be honest, Bandai does a good job on porting (except New Gundam Breaker which is the true trash port.) Clearly, you've not played Nier Automata, or any of Square Enix ports on PC.

I don't know why but the game still using sse ? I updated the game to 1.30v.. Everytime i launch, it just crash where the wolf running in background for 3 sec. How do i know it has sse ? well, i use SDE to launch the game and it work, no crashes but i will not use THAT emulator because i got 4fps in gameplay. Also some player still got this issue. It was Avx before and now it has SSE

I can't extract the 1.21 update rar. When I try, it give me the error message saying "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged". I have never had any trouble extracting anything else. I've tried re-downloading and shut down my antivirus applications, and I still have this problem. How can I get around this?

i downloaded the patch, i install it, but for some reason it stop at about 10% and couldn't go on. I press Cancel and it deleted the game. Now i have to re-download them all. Anyone know how to fix this?

1.21 doesn t work without 1.20 the installer will see a error if you have mismatching files Just upade it to 1.2 then 1.2.1 normally there is no need to reinstall it
Hate to say it but the update is not working for non-AVX cpu. The game launch alright but you will stuck at loading screen ;) P.S I tried using sde with update 1.21 and it works fine but lag as snail. I say that the patch didn't really patched at all, maybe it works for someone who has decent cpu which is powerful but non-avx, if you know what i mean. Maybe next update will fix it
hello i have little problem... this game is awesome and i have no issuse with FPS or sound but... when i do a mission sounds just stuttering like broken radio... can somebody help?
Can you explain a bit more? Like maybe your settings and all for the game on the graphics settings? For me if sound starts getting chopping, I usually just lower the graphics and put it back within hours.
i have all on low but graphic doesnt have effect on it. Game is pretty fast and audio is good but in mission audio do crackling sound... but game still work good fast combat everything except audio is great

After installing the game if I use the desktop icon after installing it sends me straight to the steam store But when i use the "ge3" file thats in the codex the game screen would show up all black and then say "ge3.exe has stopped working" Did i mess something up? (Console player just switching over, give tips to this stuff if you can)
did you put the crack? if you didn't, the installer should have an option that says "Copy contents from CODEX folder" or something. That's the crack. If you don't want to reinstall, the downloaded file should have a CODEX folder. Just copy the contents from that into the installation folder for the game

If you're getting random crashes, Here's how to fix it: Open Nvidia Control panel, Then change anything that has "Global" in it that's off, To on. mine's french but it should give u an idea of what to do.

There I have a problem, and trouble solving it: on most maps I see a number of objects flicker in and out of existence, where they should not be in the first place (like a large box intersecting with a door). On the missions' maps, for example, there are buildings appearing from nowhere, then disappearing, up to several times per second, and they are only visual as everything goes through them (shots, enemies, my own character, etc.). Does anyone know where this might come from? I have no problem with starting up the game (duly cracked of course) and playing, no crash or anything, and with low enough settings it even runs smoothly. Scouring the Net hasn't brought me an answer, either. I haven't tried reinstalling, and will do so soon. Thanks in advance, and have fun playing!

you will not meet minimum spec to play even at the lowest setting with that cpu. however, you may get lucky if they somehow overshot the amount of processing the game really requires.

can you please try list out hardware specification? try updating some of drivers such as graphic card driver, directx or try adding the game folder in the anti-virus exception list. and you can try reinstall the game too..

I think its probably the 4GB RAM? I tried to monitor my computer usage and by having the game at the first starting screen it uses my ram around 4.2GB I've seen people running the game with an integrated graphics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mo16ub-T3X8 so I don't think gpu is the problem >.>
Got a same problem like others the file save cannot be create hope some one can fix it. Edit:Solve it,turns out my windows defender is on when i turn off the real time protection and launch the game save file successful create.
When I extract the files from the archives downloaded from MEGA, both WinRAR and 7-zip throw checksum failures. I tried running the ISO anyway, but CODEX's interface also throws a checksum failure and automatically cancels the installation. Does anyone have any ideas on how to address this?
The game needs cpu that support AVX . It's something like SSe that bubisoft using. Do not uninstall the game yet, let's wait for bandai patch the game and wait for igg releasing it :)

Are you using nvidia card? I had this problem as well. Just use the Nvidia control panel to switch to High performance Nvidia processor. Fixed it for me at least

Hopefully sooner than later I hope because it seems like a riot of anger and sadness all around for not having the chance to play but all the more reason to have it work at some point and feeling it was worth the wait even if just a bit longer. Just going to be harder not to see the game play and hearing how fun it is. Its going to be the biggest problem trying to resist that and wanting to play.
I looked around more and lo and behold quite the decent amount of people have the issue with AVX or something relating to it that I personaly bet they are gonna make a patch for it relatively soon considering the amount of people already spamming the Bandai Tech Support and Steam posts. In the first one, you have to manually enter your PC information
It's not that the CPU is obsolete, it's that if this AVX issue is a thing, then it's a problem for me since my CPU doesn't suport it. Long story short the game won't start up after clicking the .exe file. Had the same issue with MH World from here to. Every other game runs great though. Shrug Dunno what else it might be besides the above.

They fail to run the game because the game using AVX or maybe i can call the SSE. It's up to bandai namco to fix it, well... They always do, we just need to wait. Also it has no DRM which is good :)
Sorry, my bad. The outlook kinda looks like windows xp. When i realize the clock taskbar. Future games now will likely run using windows 8 and 10. Who knows when windows 7 will be obsolete. Maybe consider upgrading your windows.
For those who want to know about the game and its performance the game on the following 2 computers and components: I5 4670k GTX 1050ti - GTX 760 16GB ram 1600MHz i3 8350k GTX 1050ti - GTX 760 - 1060 6gb 16 GB ram 3000MHZ In the computer of fourth generation usually has micro stuttering, if for the mediocre that is the game that has load problems even in components of fourth generation is a verguensa. Alright to those with some issues. with lagging. Please check to make sure the game is being run with [insert gpu here] and not default [integrated] (I'm no good with tech jargon). (use your control panel for your Graphics thingy. I used Nvidia) Before using some frame limiting software that probably won't work on your potato. Also for those with issues with saving. My game did not "save" until after I played the game and created my character. Anytime before that such as settings and stuff won't save it. What makes you think that anyone here sneezed out 700+? We make our choices and you made yours. No use getting salty over something like this. It's obvious most of everyone that torrents/etc. their shit can't shell out even $40+ on a game. My Point (which is for anyone with a potato/toaster: Instead of going for a prebuilt gaming PC (which is excessive and not at all a good go to. As a first Gaming PC, go ahead.) As Cassie Hack said. Have one built. or build your own. It's not too hard. Not only that but PCs that are custom are easy to upgrade (like the RAM/ GPU/CPU etc. etc. instead of having to buy a whole new PC just because of some shit (I spilled ramen on my ASUS). If you can't there are many cheaper alternatives. Online via Generic companies. For PCs what matters the most is the insides. Ask yourself what games you want to play. And wether or not your one of the folks that want their games always on fucking 4K and shit (which is usually unnecessary, better resolution only matter on bigger screens) You can easily cut costs.
Game installed fine and played perfectly at a solid 60 fps with the graphics all the way to the max. Thing is, I'm not sure this is my kind of game, which is odd because I really liked Monster Hunter World.
I've noticed a lot of people who have toaster computers from the 1800s and they're genuinely confused why games don't run properly on their systems. It's wild. Guess it just goes to show how easy pirating has become, that even potatoes find their way to the download button, albeit with great difficulty in figuring out why things don't work. BaCk iN mY DaY we had to do ridiculous convoluted processes just to apply cracks, which sometimes didn't even work, and that's if you managed to find them. It was like the wild wild west of pirating, with napster, limewire, kazaa, etc. Now scene releases have super easy installers, which are readily available and easy to find. Update your drivers. Educate yourself on the basic understanding of what you need to be able to run shit. Be proactive on keeping your PC up to date and you should have few problems. It stands to reason that if most people can run the game, it's likely something on your end. If lot's of people (who have good PCs) run into issues, then it's probably a shitty port, which let's be real, is all too common in today's gaming climate.

because a Stable Frame rate is better if it can keep 30 FPS it's better than 40 . With a simple Example: if it can only reach 40FPS this mean that the hardware GPU or CPU (maybe both) are at 100% Usage and a 100% usage could give problems like Freeze/stuttering So, lowering the frame at 30 could free a bit of CPU/GPU % usage personally, 30 is still bad for me :> prefer a nice 60 Stable frame or nothing. anyway, these solutions are for very Low-Low end PC

FIXED : just had to disable windows defender, i think it was marking the save file as false positive and just deletes it.
The game works perfectly for me since its initial release (good thing is I have an i7-4790, sorry folks!) Just one thing I don't understand... ToV costume and hairstyle are invisible while Code Vein dress and all others are fine, wondering what is causing the problem.

I updated the game to 1.30v..
Everytime i launch, it just crash where the wolf running in background for 3 sec. How do i know it has sse ? well, i use SDE to launch the game and it work, no crashes but i will not use THAT emulator because i got 4fps in gameplay. Also some player still got this issue.
It was Avx before and now it has SSE
Not to mention you've never mention what CPU are you using...

P.S I tried using sde with update 1.21 and it works fine but lag as snail. I say that the patch didn't really patched at all, maybe it works for someone who has decent cpu which is powerful but non-avx, if you know what i mean. Maybe next update will fix it

if you didn't, the installer should have an option that says "Copy contents from CODEX folder" or something. That's the crack. If you don't want to reinstall, the downloaded file should have a CODEX folder. Just copy the contents from that into the installation folder for the game

I have no problem with starting up the game (duly cracked of course) and playing, no crash or anything, and with low enough settings it even runs smoothly. Scouring the Net hasn't brought me an answer, either. I haven't tried reinstalling, and will do so soon.

Edit: I managed to fix it by changing it to windowed and then back to full, but I only managed to get past the first mission, but on the second one it crashes regardless of what I do
Edit2: I managed to fix it by addind the game to the 3d app on nvdia settings and turning on FXAA and gamma correction

Instead of going for a prebuilt gaming PC (which is excessive and not at all a good go to. As a first Gaming PC, go ahead.) As Cassie Hack said. Have one built. or build your own. It's not too hard. Not only that but PCs that are custom are easy to upgrade (like the RAM/ GPU/CPU etc. etc. instead of having to buy a whole new PC just because of some shit (I spilled ramen on my ASUS). If you can't there are many cheaper alternatives. Online via Generic companies. For PCs what matters the most is the insides. Ask yourself what games you want to play. And wether or not your one of the folks that want their games always on fucking 4K and shit (which is usually unnecessary, better resolution only matter on bigger screens) You can easily cut costs.

BaCk iN mY DaY we had to do ridiculous convoluted processes just to apply cracks, which sometimes didn't even work, and that's if you managed to find them. It was like the wild wild west of pirating, with napster, limewire, kazaa, etc. Now scene releases have super easy installers, which are readily available and easy to find.
Update your drivers. Educate yourself on the basic understanding of what you need to be able to run shit. Be proactive on keeping your PC up to date and you should have few problems. It stands to reason that if most people can run the game, it's likely something on your end. If lot's of people (who have good PCs) run into issues, then it's probably a shitty port, which let's be real, is all too common in today's gaming climate.

if it can keep 30 FPS it's better than 40 .
With a simple Example:
if it can only reach 40FPS this mean that the hardware GPU or CPU (maybe both) are at 100% Usage and a 100% usage could give problems like Freeze/stuttering
So, lowering the frame at 30 could free a bit of CPU/GPU % usage
personally, 30 is still bad for me :> prefer a nice 60 Stable frame or nothing.
