Because you still not crack it before start game. After install, you must open .iso file, you will see "CODEX" folder, copy all files in that folder and paste to your game's dir, enjoy ;)
when you download you extract all the RAR files right ? so in that extracted file there is a file named " CODEX " open it. go to your desktop right click on your game and select " open file location " replace everything in the game's file with the files inside " codex "

When I played the game for the first time (with both Leon and Claire, A and B scenarios), I found all weapons with infinte ammo in the item box. I had the game working on my pc with no issues aside from the occasional crash but it would boot up again just fine. Another game I have was crashing so i changed my computer settings to fix it but now RE2 stops responding as soon as I open it and closes with no error messages, just a black window that disappears. This also happened with RE7 but my other cracked games work perfectly. I have my drivers up to date, windows up to date, anti virus disabled, I even messed with the config files and reinstalled the game, update and crack fix. you mentioned you changed computer settings to fix a game, what settings did you change? also you can check windows event viewer > windows logs > application for more information as to why your games are crashing
You legend! I saw in event viewer some file called NvCamera64.dll was not working so i deleted it and both re games work again! I knew it had to do with my gpu because the games stop working after i updated my nvidia drivers. Thank you so much!

If you experience slow download speed use a downloadmanager (like JD), and download multiple files at once. For me the number is 5 DL at 5 connections per DL, and 50kb/s becomes my max DL speed.

If you haven't solve it yet, just copy the contents in the Crack folder into your installed game folder. In future, you may select "Copy contents of CODEX into installdir" during installation or any option which indicates to copy Crack file automatically into game directory. Else, you can just copy paste manually.
Google drive links for game (cracked) normally be live for a few weeks, lucky enough it'll last for months before taken down due to violation of terms. And the mods in this site will not upload into a new Google drive unless ALL the other links are dead, other file sharing service (uploaded, mega up, etc). Give MegaUp a try, they're not as fast as Google Drive but pretty decent.

Guys. So I have 2 gaming rigs, both with this game on it. One of them, the game started crashing, yet the other worked fine. Than the demo to the new Revelations Remake on Steam started doing the same thing (assuming it runs on the same engine). Bugged the hell out of me to figure it out, and I did. I realized my second PC had not had Windows 10 updated since 11/16, and my other computer had an update that was downloaded on 11/26. It's named started with the word 'Feature'. DELETE that update. Go to search, type in update, click on Check For Updates, click View Update History, and delete the last one, who's name starts with the word 'feature' and was on the 26th of Nov. If you want to be extra safe, delete ALL updates from the month of Nov. and then both games will booth just fine.
If the game is closing itself at the start when you load up the game, open re2_config.ini and change TargetPlatform=DirectX11 to TargetPlatform=DirectX12. That worked for me.

Try to run with DirectX12, Naturally if the game will crash you have to disable every overlay you have. Like GeforceExperience, Discord Overlay ecc... if they don't support DirectX12 the game will going to crash.
Ive been trying to get this game running on my new Ryzen 3900x / 2080 ti build for a month and it just crashes on launch. I tried everything possible from my online research. It works on my old 10 year old i7 875k with 980 ti, but not my new Ryzen build. I think some games just dont like Ryzen 3xxx.
Try to disable every overlay, because most of the time a game set in DX12 have issue with overlays and the game crash at launch or when you launch the game in the main menu. If the issue persist update the bios of your motherboard. Maybe the issue is not essentialy related to the Ryzen. I finally got this game working on ryzen 3900x. I installed windows 10 version 1809 on a spare ssd I had laying around and it fuckin worked! So I guess something in win10 ver 1903 is preventing this game and a few others from working.
I fixed it deleting the re2_config.ini on the game directory, in this way the game create a new one. I think the game crash are caused by DirectX12 Option, infact after i deleted the .ini file i try all the graphic option, and the game only crashing whene i set directX 12.
That's weird, idk if the problem before I changed the crack was setting directx 12, but after I've downloaded a new crack I can play it fine using directx 12.
As i say on a comment above i find the problem, it relative to the Overlays. After i disable overlay like geforce ecc... i can run the game safe and for all the time in DX12. The crack work fine the only problem is relative to the overlay. This issue it's the same of Rise of The Tomb Raider. In this game the problem is the same. For me essentially.

I think the problem is 2 essentialy VRAM and GPU. You have to setup the VRAM with more Shared memory to your bios UP to 2GB or close because if you have less than the 2GB the game will not run, some people say that. And what i see the 2nd problem is the Directx 9 this game only run on DX11 and DX12. Try to update the AMD Chipset driver and GPU graphic. But i think you have to upgrade your if the problem persist. So try this solutions:
First increase shared memory of the GPU in the BIOS to 2gb or up.
Third Trick if the steps above working, increase your paging size for avoid the 2GB you lose for the sharing of memory with GPU.
Delete the re2 config.ini on the game directory, the game going to create a new one. If at least nothing of this solution metioned above work you have to buy a GPU. I suggesting to you a GTX 1050ti OC an update of cpu with a Ryzen 5, better is if you can buy a Ryzen 5 and a GTX 1060 6GB. now while i may be completetly wrong. allot of shader related error's come from the shader settings in a game not working or loading correctly due to certain gpu settings resolutions etc. that being said normally there is a setting document you can open in notepad to change the setting value and perimeters of a game before launching it. as i havent downloaded or played with these settings yet i couldnt tell you exactly what that file is. however by finding and editing the settings for example windowed mode, useing your native resolution settings, as well as turning off any shader options in this document (normally indicated by changeing a value from "true" to "false" this may fix your problem. if you do happen to attempt this, make sure to make a back up of any file you modify and if u do happen to find a fix. i would comment here in order to help future players.

It is a pleasure to share this important information to you guys, Denuvo is a contamination, that's why I download games for free as well, I hate frame drops, slow loading times, stuttering, etc. I hope Capcom removes as soon as possible Denuvo from the Ghost Survivors, as they did it with RE:7 and the games you mentioned above. Holy crap, I expect there is a performance hit, but damn, the difference is HUUUUUUGE. There are so many cases of 0 frame rate per second with Denuvo in DMC5 that it's almost unbelievable, in one case the maximum frametime is OVER 6 FUCKING SECONDS, OMG, for those who don't know what frametime is, it means you will be staring at a still pic for 6 seconds!!

Make you update your GPU drivers to the latest, if you are crashing just in a particular part of the game, lower your in game graphics settings to the minimum and play the game until you are out of that particular area.

All that you say is fine but the problem is the hardware. People who build a PC must know how to expand the right components. the person must build the pc according to the adjustment and screen resolution that each person wants. example, if you want to play 1080p, you have to build a pc that meets those requirements. the same applies to 4k. This way you will not have any problem with any game. So far, I have not had any problem with any current game that I downloaded.

no a lot of people are getting the black screen and crash issue and i've already added a request for patch 1.03 seeing as that patch has a fix for the crashing issue or at least thats what im hoping if they wait until all the dlc is out which will be the final update it'll suck but if we're lucky everyone will finally get to play this game with all of the dlc so the more of us that ask for newest patch the more likely we'll get a working game that will actually run and i've tried the repacks with the crack fix only to find the same black screen and crash issue.
I doubt it's a lot of people the vast majority of people got this crack to work and have been done with this game for weeks now (unless u replay it over n over with mods). Just install, drop in crack n bam it works. GTX 1070 with latest drivers.

well there is news from my side ! Since I had nothing more to do, I launch the game and wait... the game was loading for 2 minutes or 3 (a fucking eternity) and then IT WORKED ! I don't really understand why it take so long. So I start playing and enjoying the first cutscene untill it crashed (the usual crash because of my gpu it seems) So I change directx 11 -> to directX 12, lower the graphics a little and now it's working. I seem to on the lowest settings have just enough memory to run the game... but when I open the map/inventory their isn't enough memory and I either get blank streaks or atari pixel looking things. I had a similar problem with skyrim on my last computer and there was a command that made all the trees and water look like utter crap.. but made the game playable.
iaf your on a desktop and have facebook you could look for those on there who build pc, and by that you can see if there up for trading stuff you have for ram or a gpu, i say this bc i got 2x8 gb sticks of teamgroup vulcan 2400 ram off someone on fb for like 20 u.s.d. and on another person near huntington westvirginia i got a zotac gtx 1060 6gb amp edition no backplate gpu. gave 8 gb ddr4 2666 stick of ram, 3x2gb sticks of r3 1066 ram from an older hp pavilion, 1 500gb west dig blue ssd, 1 120gb vaskey ssd, and one hd readon 7790 1gb ghost edition gpu, and 40 bucks to boot, then took my r5 2400g out my prebuild hp pav 690 0013w and swapped it into a msi board 450i gaming plus ac and got a new case...the mb and case came from amazon for around 180 with mx4 thermal paste but my point is YOU CAN FIND GOOD SHIT ON FB FOR TRADE> dont settle for stuff i had to do for years in the past...just start looking. depending on your area itll be easier then where im at...GL
Are you running on the intel integrated stuff? It's generally not used for gaming, but can under extreme circumstances, but it won't be a good experience. Drop the Resolution to 480p or lower, and drop every setting to low, is the best you can hope for. You have to get an actual GPU for most games to be decent.
Yah is kind of annoying a little bit But the installer seems to auto fetch each part (I make sure the ISO is named the same as the RAR file and that they are in the same folder)

if you downloaded it before the 1st crackfix you won't have DLCs (i've uploaded look through my profile for the comment with the link) Anyway it's better if you download it again (and avoid downloading full unlocked versions if you think it won't cracked soon) and look some comments here you're not the only one Probably
You would right click on the iso file, hover over the "Open with" option, and click on the Windows Explorer option. It should open up something new with a setup file. You would run that, and on the first screen on the application click "Copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir". Then wait for it to install and click on the desktop icon.

On Claire's design (RE2: Remake), they changed the nose and the rounded face. The model Jordan Mcewen's face is more rounded and her nose is turned-up, also her eyes are not as blue as Claire's. I saw a beautiful woman too, her face on Metal Solid Gear V (the character Quiet) is identical from this Dutch singer, model and actress, Stephanie Joosten. Konami not only capture her face, her body as well and movements. I knew video game companies use the Motion Screen Capture on Sports Games such as PES and FIFA, but I am glad they are using that technology on other video game genres.

when i try to start the game normally or in adminstrator mode, then nothing appears. No error sign etc. I fulfill the system requirement by far and have a nvidia GTX 1080. If the Steam chat shows up in the down right corner, that means if you press shift + tab it opens Steam, and it automatically sees that you don't own the game. If that is not your problem, don't know how can I help.

So...I downloaded the game yesterday on the torrent site, then I downloaded the "fix" file here, before I installed the fix file I started the game, a window opened with a black screen and then crashed, then I installed the fix file but the game wont even start now...

Yes, you are probably not on the right screen because I have no idea what you are talking about. If it opens any pop ups close them, make sure you know what you are clicking. If mega tells you, then simply say you don´t want to, or download the mega app. If that doesn´t work use utorrent or other links. If you could be moore specific it would help.
anyone has a setup-1.bin file?? extracting iso file took long because of setup-1.bin file, but none were in the bin file.... and i got a isdone/unarc.dll code 14 error and i think this means that binarie file is corrupted and it causes the error... if anyone has this file uncorrupted, thx if you upload it to google drive and share the link.

probably your graphical settings and/or your CPU. i got i5 8400 + 1060 and following the recommended graphical setting for 1060 from Digital Foundry and it's butter smooth throughout the game.
so you use the recommended preset in the graphic setting ? well i set all the setting to the lowest but still got stutter, and yeah i think my only problem is my cpu that cause the stutter, i dont think changing to the recommended preset will fix it tho

If not, you can find tutorials on the internet on how to download google drive files when it says that warning. It´s pretty much the same that Shitty Grammar said. Now, I do not know what you mean by codex file, but I suggest you make sure you cracked the game with the CRACK FIXED section of this page, and make sure the dll you downloaded is in the folder that the executable that was giving you error is in. After you try that, if you have any problems say so again
Or maybe your webroot is detecting a pop up as virus, those however don´t pose any threat if you just close them or use an addblocker. Then agains webroot is not a very good antivirus mind you.... I just use avast and I have no problems But you should try to de-activate your anti virus while installing the game, it might delete some files

ok so... game doesn't start. tried opening in Admin and that doesn't work either. I looked in task manager and it shows its using my CPU, but its still doesn't open. Edit: Ok so I figured out what may be the problem. the "re2" executable in the Codex folder will not copy over to where I installed the game. it says "I need permission from everyone in order to proceed" I have no Idea who this everyone is... its my PC... I'm the only one that uses it. Edit2: Nvm, I fixed it. had to reinstall the game. when I did, the "re2" .exe in the Codex folder decided to start looking like the one in the main game folder.
How unlock it? I finish the game with the 2 characters and nothing of the costumes has appears :/, and in the steam emu, is the dlc list but the game dont
what does "crack fixed" do? i tried to run the game without adding the crack fixed file and its working fine.. (but then again, i only tested the game until the police station)
You are wrong, only the Hunk character was already a part of the game but they later (on Feb 15) added other characters, so in other words, it is an DLC.
If its a DLC then why doesn't it show up in the steam store??? Its because its an update not content that you have to download separately, thats what DLC stands for: Downloadable Content. Just like the NG+ mode on Dishonored 2 it wasn't in the game on launch but they added it as part of the game during an update

go into your game folder where you extracted the .rars and find the re2_config file. Open in with notepad and make sure everything at the beginning of the file looks like this: [Render] PCTargetAPIFallback=Enable Capability=DirectX12 TargetPlatform=DirectX12 UseVendorExtention=Disable UseOptimizeShader=Enable MainMenu=True LastCrashReport= Then Save. If you don't have the settings in game to switch to DirectX12 then your vid card may have issues. Hope this helps
oh gotcha... well i mean the last time i checked the world record was around 50min and its on youtube, and honestly it's not that hard to beat the game without saving in the first place "standard" i did just a regular run the other day with claire and my time was 01:14:00 with no saves and i wasn't even trying to speed threw it..the game isn't that long honestly. I remember speed running the original resident evil 2 and beating it around the exact same time as the world record for the remake.

As I understand it, RE 2 was well received. has sold over 3 million copies. Now the next step will be to remake, RE 3 Nemesis, RE Code Veronica. from RE 4 onwards, there will be no remake. since the graphic engine is modern from there.
I think 6 already good with the fix camera option they gave. You control and rotate camera almost like resident evil 2 remake. Dislike 4 and 5. Resident evil 5 make me dizzy when playing.
I can do that if i want too. Let me think. First i am download some trainer with freeze timer then either i am using 1 shot kill or infinite ammo. After that before facing or defeating boss i turn off freeze timer which game time start counting then chill and waiting like half or 1 hour. Boom S+ psst: Me always end up like 6 or 7 hour in game with 70 or 80 save usage even on fifth walktrough. The easiest unlockable weapon i can unlock was that unbreakable combat knife.
if you download it by torrent just remove the torrent of RE2 in the program, enter the installation folder of the torrent and send download again, do not delete the file of the game, because the torrent will finish downloading what is missing.

lmao tank controls are easy and at least you can dodge zombies, and it makes you feel like you actually accomplished something. The old games made dodging feel fun, and worth it... you can't just dodge enemies in this version to conserve your ammo, your guns are tools, not toys.

Is it just me or is the game just running really slow? My laptop meets the spec requirements and has run games like the Witcher 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider pretty smoothly at 40-50 fps with no problems (medium settings). So why is this game lagging so bad? I've got it at medium settings now but I barely get 35 fps
i have a msi laptop i7 6700 , gtx 1060 , 32 gb of ram . Game runs perfectly , flawessly , no lag or anything . Using Logitech gamepad f310 and laptop connect on hdmi to my 160 cm 4k tv . Better result then on a ps 4 .
you can have all that ..but laptop just aint made for gaming honestly, unless you got about 10k... you can throw all them specs in there but we all know a real gtx 1060 vs a laptop gt x 1060 is wayyyyy differnt ..like comparing apples to oranges. the parts just aren't the same...there is a video on youtube that explains why gaming sucks on laptops.. micro stutters, fram drops, etc.
the game doesn't have a lag problem it has a stutter problem, but there is a patch out that fixes it very easily if your lagging its your hardware not the game.

Cons: However...I'm unable to add RE2 Shaders mods when set to Directx12 ohh well reverting back to DirectX11 in borderless at least the HDR ReShade - Less Blur. Better Colors. (More Enjoyable Viewing Experience at Resident Evil 2 (2019) Nexus - Mods and community) will work!
I have finished the game several times, it is very easy. I do not complain about the game but it would have been an exact replica of the classic game. The huge lizard and the spiders did not appear either. They should add as optional, 3rd person with fixed camera. After all this is a remake and not a new game release.
Because when you play as claire you take different routes than leon and go into different areas, the areas are mostly similar but you end up going somewhere differently.

I solved this problem. First, you need windows 10 pro 1809 version, then install the game, and go to the directory _commonRedist\Directx and install directx. For me was the only solution for black screen. I hope this will help you !

Nope its just the Fullscreen setting for RE2 doest work properly on Windows 10 64bit thats why I chose borderless window its the only full screen that works.

if your talking about changing sounds to original its in the audio options, theres also costumes that should be unlocked, and special weapons when you get to the first storage crate. if you dont have these make sure you download this version as i dont think they where in the "full unlocked" version

The Installation works fine. But my game graphic is black&white and i can't control the camera with my mouse. Is there any fix? The problem is only after the explosion. I can't see where i have to go becouse no way to turn the camera.

I got this message too, what I did was not overclock my graphics card and lowered some of the graphic settings like texture,lighting etc and then it worked.

Your "tips" are terrible. Buying the game is what we're trying to avoid and waiting for a crack fix isn's a good tip either because a lot of people (Including me) don't have this problem, so it's clearly not a problem with the crack.

I was able to play it with a controller and still use the mouse for aiming, it's a bit annoying having to use both the controller and the mouse at the same time, but at least it's a temporal solution till the fix comes out

Well seeing as i do this every time it does work. on the screen that says too many downloads go to the top url and change the uc to open the screen will turn a darker color and in the top right (if your signed into google drive) you'll see a add to drive button, you click it then on your drive right click the file and hit make a copy Now that file is yours, it acts like a new file that's never been downloaded
Probably a corrupted file, make sure all of them are titled the same (RE2 part1, RE2 part2 etc.) If it doesn't work, you should look at what the error says to figure out what the problem is.

---IMPORTANT--- For black screen and crash at startup issue. Change your time zone to US & Canada, your country to United States and regional format to English(United States). This fixed it. For crashing after loading a game. Crash occurs when using DX11. However there is a workaround. Do not load autosave file. Load only manual saves(i.e typewriter saves). For brightness issue(too dark or too bright) dont use DX12 use DX11.

With virtually all cracks, you'll be overwriting files in your game directory with the files from the crack archive. Yeah same. i start the game from my desktop and it does nothing. it says its running in the background but nothing is there. also when i run it from the ISO and the codex it juts pops up a black screen.... NVM i fixed the issues

The iso is essentially the imaginary disk. "mounting" means inserting the disk into an imaginary disk drive. Find the file that sais iso in the file type and right click it. Then click mount.
I haven't downloaded the files yet, but i imagine in the different parts, there's an ISO inside (may show up as another archive.) In the end, you should have the installer and cracked files to install.
I was copyingthe crack files wrong. Download the Crack only file, copy the contents and paste them into the game folder, replace the files (7 in total) and you should be goog to go.

Update Windows to at least 1803
Disable Hyper V. Updating Windows is a real pain, but if you want to play the game with the current crack, it's the only way. For those who have 1803 or above, simply disabling Hyper-V will allow you to play the game. Enjoy!
"HRESULT"? That looks like registry kind of stuff. EDIT: I found the solution on the internet... I think. You need to change the settings to max through config then try run the game, save, restart, then put the setting back to the way you want.

Windows 10 User. This is how I got past the black screen and crash when launching the game as well as returning keyboard and mouse support. Do one step at a time, starting with 1 and try running the game. Only continue if it still won't run after the previous step:
Make sure your windows is updated. (windows key->settings->system->about) it should be at 1809. If you are not at 1809 and you run windows update (windows key->settings>update & security->check for updates) and it will not show you the update to 1809 (like mine did) force the update by going here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and choose "Update Now," under "Windows 10 October 2018 Update now available" It is a big update and will take time.
Update your video drivers. I can only speak for myself. But by doing steps 1 and 2 (3,4, and 5 didn't need updating) the game finally started working for me. Good luck.
Has anyone else problems with fps drops and tiny (what seem to be) glitches? It won't recognize my memory it says I'm using 2GB/0GB. I think it's because of that but not sure what to do about it tho. I've got a gtx 1050ti 4GB and 8GB of ddr4 ram with i7, should work pretty fine. :/
from what i read, codex crack is buggy, if you really want to play ASAP you better upgrade to the latest windows version, latest driver, apply every fix possible. but, even after all that hoopla, it will not be always work. so my best suggestion is wait for a better crack.
How? When i mounted the game on H: I did the setup and opened the crack folder, copy pasted the things inside crack folder and put them in the game folder, still opens steam
I've read on fitg*** that the crack won't work on Win 8/8.1 but downgrading to Win 7 will have no issues and also if you're using Win 10 be sure to upgrade it to latest versions or upgrade it to 1803 or 1809 because crack won't work on earlier version of the OS.

im running the game without problems, because i download from STEAM hahahaha ok but i download this game for a friend that don´t have the money to get games and i try it on two PC and no problems at all, no black screen and the PCs are WINDOWS 10, i download this game from two pages, this one and ovagames, the only problem that i find with the version of this page is that crash randomly at the difficulty selection, i need to select very fast or the game will crash, with the OVAGAMES version i didn´t have that problem.
Win 10 user here, was having black screen and crash, managed to get into the game by pluging in a controller, still have problems with keyboard. By updating the windows to 1809 version the problem are all fixed for me. GL fella pirates.
Gonna try updating to 1809. I was at 1803 and the update wasn't showing in my normal windows updates. Whenever I try to start the game it's just a black screen and then it quits. Downloaded the windows update assistant to force it to 1809. We'll see what happens, I guess

Working perfectly on windows 10 sometime you will get black screen on start you have to wait before CAPCOM logo appeared if not you need to close games and open again with select Run As Administrator.

its not on the iso my bad its on the instaled file then u go to _CommonRedist where u instaled RE 2 then click on it u see DirectX and vcredist and look in both files for the setup.exe ;)

If you suffer from lag spike or constant stuttering, alt+tab, open up the task manager then set "re2.exe"s priority to high, made a world of difference for me.

Resident evil is not supposed to be about action. It has always been a survival horror which emphasized on puzzle solving and conserving your ammo and healing items. One thing many RE fans hated about RE5 and RE6 was that they made it more action based and less puzzle based.

probably because you're viewing the Default config there is a Normal config (without the word "default") which will be created after starting correctly the game i've already posted my Config Check the comments below i don't think it will work. it's more a Crack compatibility issue with different hardware /OS and in some cases it's casued by the game itself and not from the crack.

And the large majority of people having issues all have Windows 8, an Asus Motherboard, something isnt updated, or the keyboard bug that will need to be fixed by developers first, then cracked by the coders, as legit copies are all suffering the same issue. If you have issues with my pirated tech support, you are always free to support the game and then bypass many problems pirates have. I end up personally buying 90% of everything I pirate. I just like to try before I buy, and where I am able, I try to offer support to fellow pirates.
When I launch the game my mouse works fine but my keyboard doesn't seem to work. I can ALT+TAB and CTRL+ALT+DEL and the keyboard works fine outside the game. This is the first time it happened to me in a game so I dont know how to fix it.

Crashing in main hall Disable VendorExtention Open re2_config.ini in the game folder. Change UseVendorExtention=Enable to UseVendorExtention=Disable. This will also disable HDR Link to resident evil fixes https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Resident_Evil_2_(2019) Keep in mind these fixes are for the legit version and may or may not fix your issues. You may have to wait for your favorite crackers to post a fix

Its not windows who tracks you in those versions and there was no update to add them. Since windows 8 was such a mess, and Windows 10 being a service adding UWP people looked down and think Windows 10 is full of trackers and ad support but that is simply not true. The "spyware" people talk about is simply the Windows Store where you can get apps from, like the app store on MacOS. The only real bad thing about Windows 10 is the almost forced updates and the pre installed UWP apps, but it is a service so they need a way to earn. Instead of buying a whole new version, you now get one version "forever".
Windows 10 doesn't have "spyware" but makes it clearer that you are tracked. Windows 7 and 8 is still tracked by third party's. Windows 10 has the Windows Store that they have some extra tracking for, which you can disable when setting up Windows but you are clearly someone who just clicks next. Every computer gets tracked but Windows 10 has made the Advertiser ID more clear.
Possible fix for people with no keyboard options. If you have Steam, try closing steam. If you have a controller. Plug it in while the game is Open, then unplug it, and see if that helps.
It has nothing to do with the save file, the guy who you gave a save file to stated that he still got stuck on the menu despite you on that same save have gotten past it. it isnt a save thing is a computer thing.

I just tested you can navigate and reset everything to default mode using the mouse only. Have you tried that? Also taking @@disqus_3FuM20X7q3:disqus 's advise, run your game in compatibility mode with Windows 7, since you are on 8 and see if that helps
Since upgrading doesn't cost much can you just upgrade or Make a new partition with W10 (you can use official tools provided from microsoft official page for free) doing this you can avoid Future compatibility problems if you make a new partition with W10 you can just navigate to where your RE2 is located so , you don't have to install it again and maybe it get fixed. Guys if the games doesn't work: go to C:/user/Public: create a folder Document inside this one create a folder Steam. Launch the games / go to option and choose directX 12 not the directX11. The game restart alone. Everythings is fine now. Like for other people instead of asking again and again for help. :)

Not sure I understand what you are asking. After cracking, it asks me to go through the settings, I hit space to confirm. I only have to do this the first time I play the game. My settings save after that.

Working like a charm, downloaded and tested, did the correct way of installation with crack. Also tested with keyboard and then with controller (both xone and ds4) and is working just fine.

I understand there are a couple reasons for it. IGG gets revenue from the clicks on his links which help keep the site open. Also Files IGG puts up have been checked and made sure they are safe for distribution. Anyone can come on here and post links with files that aren't safe.

Who ever posted the keyboard fix - It dosent work. The HID-compliant game controller dosent even exist in my device manager. I never hady any contoller connected to this PC. Rebinding extra mouse buttons to keyboard functions dosent work either
this is a CRC error (result of hang-time during install), un-mount and re-mount the ISO, then begin install and leae the install as the active window, dont minimize or alt-tab just let it run and it will work

Just to inform you IGG torents are Safe use the torrent here or in the other IGG site for torrents in this case torrents are usefull because you can do a checksum of the files and it will automatically download any corrupted/missing file

your last chance is to use a torrent the problem is in your hard drive so you have to use a torrent to perform a file recheck which will find exactly what is missing
torrents depends on seeds if there are many peers(people who are downloading the file) downloading at the same time the seeds will split the band between every peer since the game has been cracked recently it's normal. give it time or use Gdrive / mega up links (better choose for me)
Somehow after some research, I was able to get the game to open and pass all the settings. However when I try to start the game, it crash. What I did was update my DirectX and also I found this. After I did those 2, it opens the game but as I was saying, it crash after selecting the difficulty. Update: Finally got the game to run. I changed the directx 11 setting to directx 12 like someone had posted somewhere here and now it's working. If I have any other issues, I will update. Update 2: Game is working properly for me. Keyboard and mouse is working fine for me. I do not have a controller, by default it just works for me. I have no solution for anyone who is having trouble with keyboard.
It seems like a setting issue, hopefully @disqus_FUrVCb8ZFn:disqus config file can solve your problem. If not try update your DirectX like I did for mine.
did you try the common fixes? install the setups inside common redist (those setups are requirements for running the game) , upgrade the graphic drivers and check for blocked files in antivirus quarantine obviously make sure your pc can handle the game (if it is a laptop set the game to run with the right GPU)

Nope. I don't have any folder with numbers or any other thing with numbers as a name. The only folder I have in the main game folder is the wallpapers folder.

install the setups found in Common redist try to change some graphic settings through the re2_config.ini like fullscreen/window , directx etcc make sure your PC is enough to run it or it's well updated.

HOW TO BYPASS THE GOOGLE DOWNLOAD LIMIT (you need a gmail account for you can make a copy)
go to the part you want to download and when its "There was a problem with the preview." DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD instead you will see a icon with the google drive icon on it, (also will have the name add to drive on it when you put mouse on it)
click the add drive button and it will probably ask you to sign into you google account
sign in and it will drop the file in your drive (make sure you have enough space on your google drive otherwise you wont be able to copy it later)
find the file (might new to refresh page to see it), then right click and find make a copy (will be near the bottom of the list)
then find the copyed file will probably say something like "copy of" then the file name (if its not showing up refresh the page again)
now right click on the copyed file and select download, (when you click download it might say "cant check for viruses" just press "download anyway" and the download will then work. hopefully that helped, i know it helped me.

save the files to your gdrive, go to your gdrive and right click whichever part you want to download, then select "make a copy" and download the copy. When the copy is downloaded, just rename it to remove "copy" from its name ... rinse and repeat........DONE~

HEY GUYS, FOR EVERYONE having an issue the game closes when you choose leon story or claire story, I found the solution, open as admin, go to options menu and graphics or display (cant remember) but you need to find the Direct X option, now change it to Direct X 12, the game will asks you to restart, now do it, it will open again and the menus will be different and finally you can play the game without the crash issue
OK so if someone has black screen or the game quits after you start, as in codex denuvo cracks: restart your pc after it it will be fine. However the game itself only works with controller/gamepad, no keyboard input contact at all... only mouse works. or your controller (Xbox 360/one)
try using alt+enter to switch windowed/fullscreen and see if your keyboard will work, if it still doesnt work alt-tab a couple of times followed by a mouse click and try keyboard again

if your using an ASUS motherboard the game crashing is a known problem, open task manager and end all processes with "nahimic" in the name then try starting the game
the devs also said on steam forums for people with same problem that sonic apps related to asus are causing problems with the game and uninstalling Sonic Audio / Sound studio / Sonic Radar applications,then restarting your pc then launching should allow the game to launch, i cant test this though as im using intel

Long black screen seems commons for ev but the game start after a moment. Look for update your gc drivers. Check if you have the min specs on cpu it can be that. Sse instruction missing can be the cause

If anyone got a black screen with the Crack Only download, try running as Admin and actually wait a bit. It ended up working for me. If not, you can always re-download the whole game.

nice, also, in case when you click on ggdrive link, you get a message saying too much download bla bla bla, you need to change a bit the url of the link from "ud?id" to "open?id" then you will get the page to add the part to your drive
when you click on the links you should arrive at a google drive page on top right there is an ggdrive icon "add to my drive" Then in your drive you will find the part you want to download, but you won't be able to download it, so right click on it and choose make a copy, then you will have a new files call "copy of RE2...." this on you can download. delete the original files to make some space on your drive for the next part to download, repeat the process

This game has some weird strong protection on it. I learned something about it. I'm almost positive this won't be cracked any time soon. There's weird like online detection on it that will only allow you to get to certain things at certain parts of the game. It's hard for me to explain. I don't this game will be cracked. You guys may as well play the original Resident Evil 1 and 2. Those might be better games anyways. Graphics don't make a game. All this new Resident Evil 2 is Resident Evil 4 with a skin make over.

I think the game crash are caused by DirectX12 Option, infact after i deleted the .ini file i try all the graphic option, and the game only crashing whene i set directX 12.
After i disable overlay like geforce ecc... i can run the game safe and for all the time in DX12.

that being said normally there is a setting document you can open in notepad
to change the setting value and perimeters of a game before launching it. as i havent downloaded or played with these settings yet i couldnt tell you exactly what that file is.
however by finding and editing the settings for example windowed mode, useing your native resolution settings, as well as turning off any shader options in this document (normally indicated by changeing a value from "true" to "false" this may fix your problem.
if you do happen to attempt this, make sure to make a back up of any file you modify and if u do happen to find a fix. i would comment here in order to help future players.

I've been through everything, copy all the codex's files into my install dir but when I try to run the game, there is nothing but a black screen with the game which seems to load but it never end :(

I seem to on the lowest settings have just enough memory to run the game... but when I open the map/inventory their isn't enough memory and I either get blank streaks or atari pixel looking things.
I had a similar problem with skyrim on my last computer and there was a command that made all the trees and water look like utter crap.. but made the game playable.

Anyway, if you were having trouble with google drive, you could use other links or try to wait a couple of days. If not, you can find tutorials on the internet on how to download google drive files when it says that warning. It´s pretty much the same that Shitty Grammar said.
Now, I do not know what you mean by codex file, but I suggest you make sure you cracked the game with the CRACK FIXED section of this page, and make sure the dll you downloaded is in the folder that the executable that was giving you error is in.
After you try that, if you have any problems say so again

Edit: Ok so I figured out what may be the problem. the "re2" executable in the Codex folder will not copy over to where I installed the game. it says "I need permission from everyone in order to proceed" I have no Idea who this everyone is... its my PC... I'm the only one that uses it.
Edit2: Nvm, I fixed it. had to reinstall the game. when I did, the "re2" .exe in the Codex folder decided to start looking like the one in the main game folder.

the screen will turn a darker color and in the top right (if your signed into google drive) you'll see a add to drive button, you click it then on your drive right click the file and hit make a copy
Now that file is yours, it acts like a new file that's never been downloaded
If it doesn't work, you should look at what the error says to figure out what the problem is.

to all those who have failures when starting the game, showing the black screen and after a few seconds returns to the desktop screen, here the solution. I have read many possible causes to the solution to the problem and none have been solved. change the time zone, update do not know what, delete a certain file, alt + enter, etc ... none of that is the solution. For black screen and crash at startup issue. Change your time zone to US & Canada, your country to United States and regional format to English(United States). This fixed it.
For crashing after loading a game. Crash occurs when using DX11. However there is a workaround. Do not load autosave file. Load only manual saves(i.e typewriter saves).
For brightness issue(too dark or too bright) dont use DX12 use DX11.

Updating Windows is a real pain, but if you want to play the game with the current crack, it's the only way. For those who have 1803 or above, simply disabling Hyper-V will allow you to play the game. Enjoy!
That looks like registry kind of stuff.
EDIT: I found the solution on the internet... I think.
You need to change the settings to max through config then try run the game, save, restart, then put the setting back to the way you want.

sometime you will get black screen on start you have to wait before CAPCOM logo appeared if not you need to close games and open again with select Run As Administrator.

Another news that Capcom revealed through these System Requirements is that Windows 8 is now officially not supported. This means that if you still use Windows 8, you’ll either have to upgrade to Windows 8.1, which is a completely free and more stable update, or move to Windows 7/10. Since windows 8 was such a mess, and Windows 10 being a service adding UWP people looked down and think Windows 10 is full of trackers and ad support but that is simply not true.
The "spyware" people talk about is simply the Windows Store where you can get apps from, like the app store on MacOS.
The only real bad thing about Windows 10 is the almost forced updates and the pre installed UWP apps, but it is a service so they need a way to earn. Instead of buying a whole new version, you now get one version "forever".

to the people that are having the black screen glitch after using the computer the first when getting inside the police station disable UseVendorExtention from re2_config.ini in the game folder
and this glitch did happen for some people that bought the game and it happened in the 1-shot demo version of the game
so I don't think a crackfix would be needed since there is some fixes for this issue

After I did those 2, it opens the game but as I was saying, it crash after selecting the difficulty.
Update: Finally got the game to run. I changed the directx 11 setting to directx 12 like someone had posted somewhere here and now it's working. If I have any other issues, I will update.
Update 2: Game is working properly for me. Keyboard and mouse is working fine for me. I do not have a controller, by default it just works for me. I have no solution for anyone who is having trouble with keyboard.

Then in your drive you will find the part you want to download, but you won't be able to download it, so right click on it and choose make a copy, then you will have a new files call "copy of RE2...." this on you can download. delete the original files to make some space on your drive for the next part to download, repeat the process
