It's safe, I installed a game with the Simplex installer just yesterday. Windows Defender detects it as a virus because it's a modified file. In actuality, it's just a false-positive, which is what happens when an antivirus thinks a file is a virus when it isn't. You should disable your antivirus when installing the game. Once the game is installed, you can turn your anti-virus back on. Or, you can whitelist the installer in your anti-virus

Just close that and click the exe again . The game crash often alas, so until there is a new update, there isnt much you can do. It did the same to me .
Yeah looks like Jon Shafer designed and programmed this game himself without any employees which makes it terrible d esign, graphic, gameplay, soundtrack, etc.
Shafer was at Paradox for a bit as a game director. The parting was not very amicably. My guess is, this was supposed to come out as a Paradox Development Studios title but upper management like Johan Anderson, Shams Jorjani and Frederik Wester did not like it and cancelled it. It's a shame, this could have been more than decent.

Civ is so polished that this looks like coal. No soundtrack, no minimap, etc really no excuse not to have these things with a full release. But the gameplay is a breath of fresh air in a stagnant genre of Civ clones. We have what, Civ, Civ clone, 3 generic fantasy Civs, 2 sci fi Civs. This does its own thing.
I like how it tries to be more manageable and how it gives more flexibility with a moving city. But if the goal was to be not a micromanagement hell as civilization, it failed by having you deal with way too many clans. The single importance of these unique clans becomes negligent when you have to deal with more than 10 of them.

Thank you to the one who asked for this title and thank you to those who have uploaded it. :) A total discovery but a good one since I stopped playing Civilization and 4X in general. About the game, indeed, there is no music (idc personally) but the depth is promising. Some will not like the ui but the essential is present so it's useless to have all the information that rots our screen permanently when we play. A very good point in my opinion.
