So if you don't know how to fix "Failed to Start Game.". Here is the guide: What you gonna first do is download the base game files (part1 and part2). Then you gonna follow these steps:
Download DLC Pack and Update V1.01 to Update V1.03 Note: Do not download V1.04 and above
After you finished download put all the files in the folder anywhere you want.
Extract all files
For the part1 and part2 files use "extract to" or other ways you want.
Go to all update files and go in "Update" folder then click the application name "Setup.exe"
Then you can go in the folder that extracted from part1 and part2 files.
There will be another "setup.exe" Install it
After it finished there will be a a folder name "SENRAN KAGURA Burst Re Newal" go into the folder.
Run the game and then you good to go! Sorry if this guide is a bit scuffed and bad.
For anyone getting the "Failed To Start Game." error here's how to fix it: Download "Update V1.01 then go to the "CODEX" folder inside it. After you finish applying updates up to 1.03 (and no further, apparently any updates past that messes up the game) drag and drop all items in that folder into the game directory and replace files as necessary. That's how I fixed it.
Umm...Can You Please, Help Me, Please? Just Help Me, Because, I tried running a game called SENRAN KAGURA, but, the game Auto Ended with the error Called "Failed To Start Game.". What Can I Do, Everyone? Just Help Me...PLEASE? :3
No clue why everyone seems to be having issues, but it certainly isn't the game. Downloaded the game, DLC, and Updates 1.01 / 1.02 / 1.03. Updates 1.04 and 1.06 seem to be broken. Update 1.05 is not uploaded. Hopefully someone can remedy it at some point, but you don't need to have every single update to play the game. Google and MEGA links seem to be down. I just used the MegaUp links. Here's the shortest tutorial for how I got this to work...
Download the first two parts, obviously. Don't bother with the DLC or updates until it's installed.
Extract both parts with WinRAR or what have you to the same folder.
Mount the ISO that comes in the extracted folder with whatever you use.
Click "setup.exe". Ignore everything else. Let it install.
Install DLC and the first three updates* in virtually the same way. Extract, click "Setup.exe", in the updater hit "Copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir", and finish. (*as of the time of writing this, in case links are fixed and added) ... That's it. It's a really simple installation, as most of the SK games are. Otherwise, the game works as expected, same immediate controller support as Estival and Bon - since those're the only other two I've played anyhow - and nothing wrong.
pls help, so i ran estival versus, shinovi versus, and PBS perfectly, but only burst that doesnt i did all the process perfectly as what have been said in the comments before, but it still doesnt run. the game just crashes right after i opened it, i installed the base game first, then dlc, then the update patches 1-6, which the patch 5 i gotten from skidrow codex. pls halp -- i dont think my problem was my pc nor how to install though, cuz i did shinovi and estival also pbs, and they ran smoothly :') edit : btw, even the base game doesnt work --
Help! The game stops working when I try to open it. I installed game and applied all the patchs (anyway 1.04 and 1.06 links are dead), I also turned off all antivirus and defender. but I still got that error.
For everyone wondering how to apply updates to the game do as follows. Extract the rar file, go to the folder named "Update" and inside you should see 3 files. Click the one named "Setup.exe" Once there you want to make sure that the correct directory of where teh game is installed is selected. From there click the "Copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir" let it do its thing and once its done your game is updated. Rinse and repeat for all the updates.
Are you trying to apply the updates? If so extract the rar file, go to the folder named "Update" and inside you should see 3 files. Click the one named "Setup.exe" Once there you want to make sure that the correct directory of where the game is installed is selected. From there click the "Copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir" let it do its thing and once its done your game is updated. Rinse and repeat for all the updates.
There's a new version 1.02 released today, if there's a chance for it could you please upload it? It fixes framerate issues which are actually quite annoying. Thanks in advance if you do.
I'm getting black flash screen when going fullscreen mode. But if I stay windowed mode, I can play fine. Any fix? Spec: 7700K, Asus GTX 1080, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 x64 1809.
Did you install it in this order? 1.Install base game 2.Install DLC 3.Install Update 1.01 4.Copy the Crack from Update v1.01 and place it to you Senran Kagura Root folder 5.Windows will ask an overwrite click yes or overwrite. 6.Run the game in administrator mode. Note: the crack thats need to be copied to the game directory should come from the update v1.01 not from the other way around. Does it work now?
The game runs perfectly on my PC no error or what so anything Thank you IGG-Games and CODEX!!! My PC Specs Intel Pentium G4560 3.50GHz Nvidia GTX1050 2GB (Drivers not yet updated: My last driver update is Nov 2018). 8gb ddr4 Ram My real problem is its difficult to play this game in front of my parents or relatives I have to play it when no one is around(The ninja way) except for my sibbling of course who understand this kind of games/anime genre.
Good thing that you don't do this in front of everyone who isn't a shinobi. Dishonoring that code would make you an evil shinobi, and those guys don't get it easy.
This is brand new. There were 3 games before it, Shinovi Versus, Estival Versus, and Peach Beach Splash. This is the new game Burst Re:Newal, which is a 3D remake of Burst from 3DS. It released in Japan exclusively on PS4 in February 2018, though.
odd a lot ofppl complaining about this huge lags, i have a really bad computer and doesnt lag at all, i know that there are a few stupid ppl plays games watching framerate and are like: fps frops from 60 to 58 ugh horrible port a lot of lag UnpLAyaBLe hurr durr i see not a single problem on this game.
could it be a hardware issue like how hitman 2 did with amd/intel users? or could it be anything below 60 fps is considered "bad" ( game works fine for me by the way)
lel i uninstall its immediately after couple of mins playing... its a waifu simulator I'm busy playing with other game atm so I don't have time for ninja waifu >.>
That doesn't make a lot of sense. Either: A) You're missing some hardware drivers so your hardware might be sitting there doing nothing and the game not being able to utilize them. B) Your game settings could use some tweaking, turn off and on certain options, mix and match. See what happens. C) Maybe your PC specs aren't as good as you're thinking the are. D) Or something went wrong while installing, so a reinstall is always an option.
Hmm, seems like it then. Edit: Though i'm seeing people who are reporting that they either worked around the problem or never actually faced the problem to begin with. This lag issue isn't affecting 100% of the players, but still is affecting quite a large amount of people indeed.
I just finished the rather long installation (Maybe cause i'm running too many programs? Not sure) and played the game for a bit. I'm not experiencing any issues at all. The resolution however doesn't go up or down, seems to be locked by the devs. Not sure why but it looks clean so i'll take it. Though i'm looking into it, see if it's a problem on my end that i can fix. Edit: Never mind, it seems that running in fullscreen locks down the resolution to the monitor's native resolution. But yeah, no lag or stuttering problems whatsoever.
Well, that makes two of us. Yeah the textures could use some work on certain areas but it doesn't diminish my experience of the game i believe. So far i'm loving it.
Haruka and Daidouji for me. And at least Haruka is in this so i'm content. Surprised Rin isn't in this either, even as DLC, yet True Kagura and Naraku are...
Yeah. I guess they can't have them all every time. Wonder what caused them to cut characters out. Plot reasons? managerial reasons? Can't say for sure.
Possibly plot. See this game is a remake of the second game in the franchise and characters like Rin and Daidoji weren't inttroduced till later. At the same time neither were the girls from Gessen nor True Kagura/Naraku and yet here they are in this game...I just want to dress Dai-Sempai as a slutty nurse god damn it!
Dai in a sexy cop uniform would make me go crazy lol. It is what it is though, so i gotta deal with it at the end. Have fun playing the game, i sure am.
It's basically a remake of the original Senran Kagura Burst for 3DS. It's a return to origins sort of thing. It's like Estival Versus in terms of Gameplay but with a much better plot
Cheaper for the developer sure, but I don't care since I don't have a financial stake in their company and I'm not a corporate cock sucker. In reality, games are now more expensive than ever when you take into consideration you are no longer getting a physical copy or manual, DLC and micro transactions exist, games are released unplayable without a patch, you are only paying to access files from a server, etc. Just because digital only is the norm because a bunch of casuals and lazy fucks refused to boycott Valve when they launched Steam doesn't make it acceptable
pretty sure your just using that as a excuse to pirate games sense you don't have a console as you stated in a comment before, the solution would be for you to buy a console then you would buy them right or would that make you a corporate cock sucker?
Or instead of buying a console, they could give the games physical releases on PC like they do for console. Paying for digital distribution makes you a corporate cock sucker.
What good is a physical release if you personal computer does not have a disk drive or better yet the disk gets scratched up. Also digital distribution is a faster more efficient way of delivering not to mention it helps YOU get games a lot easier.
So you want people to boycott Steam and similar services because you think it's a lazy practice? That's the most puzzling thing i've heard all week. Going digital not only makes sense from a financial point but also from a point of efficiency. Instead of depending on the local dealer or an online shipment you can get the product right into the system you're gonna play on. It's efficient and it works. There's a reason why this is increasing, it's because more and more people are seeing benefit in this. And if you think all those people making this decision are all idiots or somehow inferior to your methods because somehow you think that it isn't "acceptable" then you need your pedestal kicked down a notch. Now, i can understand if you're a hard copy guy, i can respect that. Some people, especially the gamers from the 90's like to have their physical copy, it could be a collector's instinct or just a satisfaction of owning a piece of that product in a tangible manner. But you're straight up arrogant if you think there shouldn't be a digital marketplace for games that benefits so many newer gamers as well as the older ones. And no, micro transactions and bugged on release, unplayable till patch, all of it is scummy but they have nothing to do with full digital releases. That's like saying the tires in a car sucks because it has way too much horsepower. That'snot how it works, it's straight up false equivalency. TL;DR Get over it. You're advocating a closed market which isn't good in this era.
The only reason microtransactions exist is plain corporate GREED and that doesn't make the cost of the game itself higher since, guess what, you don't have to buy them. Games are not more expensive, companies are just more greedy than ever. Also games are released unplayable without a patch because companies are rush by publishers, not because it costs too much. And why the fuck would people boycott Valve over Steam? Steam is convenient and a great place to shop for games, why the FUCK would people boycot it? Digital media is the way of the future, get with the times Grandpa
Paid digital distribution was pushed because of corporate GREED since it allows them to easily distribute micro transactions and DLCs, release games unfinished, etc. Games are released unfinished because they can because of digital distribution, all the pay pigs are hooked up to some digital distribution platform like Steam and the Xbox live and the PS and nintendo equivalents. Even before Steam some PC games were released unfinished or unplayable because they could since people were able to download a patch from a website. Before paid digital distribution consoles games were released complete and playable without a patch because they had to, well they don't have to anymore. Why wait to release the game when it is finished when you can release it when it is unfinished and the brainwashed drones will pay for it anyways? Games are more expensive than ever for the reasons I already stated. DLC shouldn't exist, games should be released complete and whole. Valve should have been boycotted into bankruptcy when Steam was launched and especially with the release of HL2. Half Life 2 was the first case of online client DRM for a single player game even if you bought the "physical" copy, even after authenticating it on Steam you still had to keep the disc in the drive. That insignificant amount of convenience comes at the cost of everything else, of course you casuals don't care. Paying for digital distribution is nothing more than giving a donation yet they won't even admit it, instead they try to brainwash you with the "support the developer!" line which I see you fell for. You are getting upset at someone for calling out the entire industry for their disgusting tactics and trying (and failing) to vehemently defend those tactics. I already got with the times by switching to piracy. I have never paid for digital distribution and never will.
"Paid digital distribution was pushed because of corporate GREED since it allows them to easily distribute micro transactions and DLCs, release games unfinished, etc" Incorrect. Unfinished games and microtransaction has nothing to do with the games being digital or not. Even before the big switch to digital media shit like that was happening. Microtransactions, unfinished games and SOME DLC(more on this later) is caused by corporate greed and by corporations rushing developers to meet some incredibly tight deadline, not by the switch to a digital platform. "Before paid digital distribution consoles games were released complete and playable without a patch because they had to, well they don't have to anymore" Again, incorrect. This only happened in the days of the SNES, Nintendo 64, etc. Unfinished games has been happening since the ps3/Xbox and back then there wasn't such a big emphasis on digital distribution. "Games are more expensive than ever for the reasons I already stated. DLC shouldn't exist, games should be released complete and whole." This is incredibly dumb. You are confusing cost with VALUE. Games aren't more expensive, they cost the exact same as they ever have. Hell they are cheaper to produce and there has been plenty of evidence to support this fact. DLC is fine if it adds substantial content to the game. Something like Dragon Age Origin's Awakening expansion, that was an amazing DLC. If your DLC is just horse armor, then you're doing something wrong. "...even after authenticating it on Steam you still had to keep the disc in the drive" That's...always been the case with PC games. And console games for that matter. You ALWAYS had to keep the discs in the drive " of course you casuals don't care." This shit. Don't do this shit. Makes you sound like a retard "Paying for digital distribution is nothing more than giving a donation" And paying for a physical copy isn't? "You are getting upset at someone for calling out the entire industry for their disgusting tactics and trying (and failing) to vehemently defend those tactics." No, i'm calling out an idiot who has an incredibly archaic mentality and/or is using every excuse in the book to justify being a pirate. Which, by the way, is what you're doing. You aren't pirating due to some moral high ground or to "stick it to the industry", you're pirating because you just don't want to spend money, like the rest of us. Spare us your archaic bullshit notions and just admit you're a cheap bastard like the rest of us. Oh and for the record, i'm not defending the industry. The AAA industry has pulled a lot of bad shit, especially recently. Digital distribution is not one of them
games are more expensive because of other factors like the time it took to make, the cost of paying everyone to make it, advertising the game, along with making a profit or as you called it being greedy.
With today's technology, time isn't a factor. everything gets done much faster and much more efficiently. Paying thee people to make it is not a factor for these big companies either. Advertisement? Barely costs anything, Making a profit? They DO make a profit, all companies do, if they didn't, they wouldn't stay afloat. It's been proven time and time and time again that games are actually CHEAPER to produce these days than they were in the past. Also you're saying that microtransactions in a 60$ AAA game ISN'T being greedy? Are you saying that constant monitezation of a game ISN'T being greedy? Are you saying that preedatory practices that are clearly anti consumer ISN'T being greedy? Is that what you're saying? Because if it is, i'm sorry to say but you're an idiot
microtransaction for games I agree with you on that pre ordering games is iffy it depends if they offer bonus content or cosmetics. however companies do exist to make a profit but sometimes they do make shitty business practices for example I don't like the practice of dlc, microtransaction, and pay to win. how ever companies and Indi developers are different and in my previous comment I was referring to Indi developers.
DLC is fine as long as it's done right and isn't just fucking horse armor. Something like an expansion for example. Like Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC, THAT is DLC done right, And yes, you are absolutely right, companies DO exist to make a profit. HOWEVER there are good ways and bad ways to make a profit. Constant monitization for example is a BAD way, especially if the product is shitty coughfallout76cough. It doesn't matter if it's a AAA or Indy company, shitty practices are shitty practices. There are plenty of Indy devs that do as much shitty practices as AAA companies
ill give you that if DLC is done right it can be good but if its like Skyrim's hearthfire DLC that just added house building and adoption ( which should have been in the game to begin with or added in an update) and yea shitty practice exist everywhere indy or AAA also I have not had the "pleasure" of playing fallout 76 yet.
Ikr? This guy doesn't understand how free market and economy of demand and supply works. Period. Him attempting to somehow put scummy micro transactions and convenient digital game distribution under the same umbrella is pure false equivalency.
I wasn't a fan of PBS, looked like an excuse to have the girls in swimwear and all wet(as if this series even NEEDED such excuses). The plot was dumb and i wasn't a fan of the change in gameplay(From brawler to shooter, always reminds me of the black sheep in the Yakuza family)
I know what you mean, but i see PBS as a nice little spin-off. I mean it kinda is. Water guns, no use of lethal weapons, plots are generally branched off and pretty casual. I don't know, it was a nice change of pace and theme for me.
