Is the DLC that unlocks the H-scenes already in the file when you downloaded any of the download links above or do you have to do something else to have the DLC?

Special thanks to HappyHand for coming here personally and giving us the chance to play the game for free and for being such a cool guy. I've already suggested it to my friends in the office, and we agreed that each of us will buy the game to show our support next month (next payday), just for being cool. Seriously tho. You don't see many people like these devs. True, some people don't have the fortune and they also deserve to enjoy some things in life. But to those who are fortunate, please guys help show your support to them. Making these games isn't easy and it akes a serious amount of time even if it looks as simple as this if you compare it to games like let's say BF from Dice. Still, it takes skill and effort and I think they deserve at least something for that. TY
And second, you are not being rude dude. You guys deserve the pay for your skills and time spent on working on games. Some people won't understand, but we can't do anything about that but bringing more stress to ourselves. One time, a dude asked me to make a design for his cottage, i asked how much he's willing to pay and he said "i think $10 would be enough" and i really just wanted to face palm but i just told him "im sorry sir, but my schedule is kinda full rn. I wanted to say yes and give him a design that was enough/fit for the money he was offering but i didnt want to come off rude and he wanted a cool concept/design. So i just made an excuse to avoid further conflicts. Anyway, thanks HappyHand! You earned ur self a sub
Oh, and IGG? Thank you as well. But i think calling Happy, "good" is an understatement. I think awesome/unique would fit in well

This makes me feels somewhat bad about the whole situation. I have played a lot of pirated games back when I was young but now I purchase all my games at least the ones that I love. So I'll assume that piracy somehow is a rewarding aspect of game developers work as in It gives you loyal player base.

This is dumb. It's like when people say there is nothing wrong with piracy because is "just a digital copy" so "we are not stealing anything".
Dude. Having that copy means 1 less sell (in most cases) for the developers who put time, sweat and tears in creating the content of such "digital copy". Better keep it at "can't afford it" or "i need to be sure that i like it before i buy it" or "i can't afford it right now but i'll buy it when things go better". Just don't act like is 100% ok.
Btw that thing that you wrote there is a way of piracy, u can look it up

1st of all, nobody says that or you misunderstood. 2nd of all your little speech against piracy is not welcome, especially on this site or maybe you're just another hypocrite who'll say "I've never done it before" when you clearly did, your very presence on this site proves it so stop acting like you're better than the rest of us! And last, you know that people still buy games even despite piracy if the game is really good right? The same goes for movies in theaters. Most of the time, the ones that download games didn't have the intention of buying them in the first place so it's not directly influencing the sales of said games (those who say otherwise are lying unless they have a cristal ball and can acurately predict the future). Others like me like to try a game first (if there's no demo) and then if they really like it, they buy it. But let's be real here, we can't possibly buy every fucking games we try, that's impossible and you know it (unless you're filthy rich and that's good for you but nobody cares) and quite meaningless anyway when you still have bills to pay, taxes, insurances and many other things of the sort. Piracy is most of the time the ONLY WAY of getting old games when companies stop distributing them and the prices on amazon/ebay and other so-called "legal" ways for the same games are way too high than their real value (who would pay 200 dollars for a 20 years Super nintendo game seriously). If you really were a gamer, you'd already know all that and you would certainly not try to spit your bullshit against piracy in a site dedicated to "piracy" (more like distribution really). Remember in the 80s/90s, people used to make copies of audio/video tapes, Cds and even songs from the radio, this should be considered as piracy too by definition so yeah, you did it at some point in your loife and that makes you just as guilty as the rest of us!

Now... first: Calm down.
Second: There's no missunderstanding. i read comments like those ones in this very site.
Third: I'm not acting like i'm a better person, just saying that acting like there's nothing wrong with piracy is dumb. I know is not 100% ok. I still do it BUT i don't try to justify myself writing that is nothing wrong or that piracy is even "a favor" for the developers of the games to get a "greater LOYAL fanbase".
Finally. I use piracy in the same way you say you do. I try the games (only if they call my attention) and buy it when i have the chance if i really like the content, if not, most of the time i don't even play the full game. AND i stated that this is at least a slightly decent way to "justify your actions" in my very first post.
So... im only saying that i think that comments like the one i replied to are kind of disrespectful to the devs. Just that. Overreact as much as you like i'll not change my opinion.

I think, Piracy is a Grey Zone, it's not something good, but it's definitely useful, some developer/artist/studio even thought that piracy makes the word spread faster, so, it's kind of a promotion so that people who really loved their work would know about it, and bought their works.
If it's a good thing, MegaUpload would not be taken down some years ago.
If it's a bad thing, it does helps the poor to enjoy the piece of art that was created.
It's not good nor bad, just like how your mother's dishes are sometimes.

I'm surprised how much attention my little 2 sentence comment stirred up. All I have to say to everyone who doesn't agree with me is get off this site if you really think it's piracy. BTW no i didn't download this game it didn't look interesting or fun to me at all I was just stating that the people behind this site do actually pay for every game that's been put on here unlike torrent sites or Rom/Emulator sites.

yea the owners of the site are paying for the game ... for themselves not for you if you want it you need to buy it .
lets just imagine this scenario police came in caught one of the owners of the site and you for pirating aka stealing you will get in trouble because he paid you didn't.
and just to mention this site isn't deleted only because this site doesn't make cracks (doesn't pirate them) this site just uploads them.
now if you have the nerve to talk again imma go tell you to go and try to make a game any kind of game you don't know how much work is put into them until you try yourself ...

Feel free to treat the following as just my opinion.
1st - Nobody is saying piracy is good, but nor is it bad, if a person is not gona buy a game then they won't buy a game.
2nd - Want less instant piracy? bring back demos.
3rd - "developers who put time, sweat and tears in creating the content" doesn't matter how much fucking blood, sweat or tear you put into a game, if it's not worth it it's not worth it, sorry to the developer but 20 euros for a 2d old school game that from what I heard is pretty short is extremely steep, I would rather get a little more money and just buy battlefield that yes it's a shity copy paste game it a crap campaign, but it at least as graphics and complexity enough to justify some of it's price.
4th - "i need to be sure that i like it before i buy it" those are legit concerns, especially when dealing it early access stuff, 2 hours is never in most times time enough to check if a game is good or not (talking about steam's 2h no questions asked return policy here) after all there is a reason reviewers play the whole fucking thing before doing a review.
5th - "Well it's not really pirated on this site they purchase the game then let people download copies of their purchase" that is literally the definition of piracy, every game (well at least from proper company's) say that you can't under any circumstance distribute the game you bought yourself.
Edit; Also just wanted to make this clear, just because you bought the game, doesn't mean it doesn't come it any kind of protection that need to be cracked.
Just wanted to point that out.
Also if you want a case where piracy saved a lot of peoples asses (myself included) look at Spacebase DF-9, devs released an unfinished product it almost nothing of what was promised and ran out it the money.

Hello the publisher, HappyHand here. I googled latest news about the game and this was the first hit I got so I thought I would just let you guys know that I'm 100% fine with piracy. There's no way I can stop it anyway, even AAA developers using Denuvo and such can't do anything and I would rather just try to get along with everyone and spend my time trying to fix bugs or translate more games instead of playing whack-a-mole.
You're free to pirate the game, but if you enjoyed the game, please let your friends know about the game too and just remember that if no one buys the game, then I cannot release any more games.
Only thing I feel bad about is that when the game is uploaded on pirate sites right after it launches, it feels unfair for the paying customers, but even if I asked you to wait for a while before uploading the game, other sites would just release it anyway (it's been out in some sites since launch day) so it's all cool and I guess I just need to stop worrying so much.
I hope I didn't come of as rude, feel free to ask any questions and I hope you have fun playing Niplheim's Hunter!

If it makes you feel better I know someone in marketing and they said the two best things that could happen to a brand new game are 1:a character become a "meme" (or popular in porn) and 2: it gets cracked and pirated "popularly".
people who torrent games mostly will always torrent it before buying meaning that advertising on AA sites won't get noticed, if your game gets popular on pirated sites that's free advertising to an audience that is out of reach of normal advertisements.

I wish more publishers/devs had this attitude, tbh. As it stands now, publishers, Devs, and therefor customers, are paying more and more money out to scam artists who claim to have the 'solution' to piracy (denuvo, etc.) - when all the evidence seems to show that piracy BOOSTS sales of good games. I guess that is the real issue here - publishers like EA, who release overpriced crap over and over again can't stand the idea that people might play their game before paying for it, since they then wouldn't want it.
Piracy cost devs and customers nothing - but fighting it (pointlessly) can cost a lot - including putting customers off of buying at all (how many games have we seen where the anti-piracy bloat attached to it caused the game to be unstable/unplayable for paying customers, and only pirate copies worked as the dev intended?)
Good on you, HappyHand - I'm off to buy your game now, instead of d/ling. It's already on my wishlist/planned purchases, but when I spotted it here I thought I might try before I bought it - but I beleive in rewarding good behaviour :)

I think it will not reduce your profit too much. Many people here can't pay for your game even though they love it. Whether the game has pirate version or not, they only have 2 options: play pirate version or can't buy games, but they will help you introduce games to more people if it's good, I hope you understand what I mean. Conversely, for those who can pay for your game, they will buy it to support you after completing a few hours of play.

Yeah I understand what you mean. There's no way to tell how much the game would sell if piracy didn't exist since such a scenario is impossible and yeah, some people will spread the word so more people will know about the game.
Of course some people just want to save money, but it's impossible to tell which % of pirates pirate for that reason and which % do it for other reasons, so yeah it's all cool, I'll just focus on publishing games and fixing any bugs and so on.

Thx alot for the trans man, Very well translated, Not like the one from Dark elf historia.. God that was horrible! tbh with you nobody would expect the publisher to be cool with their game pirated, I mean i try to put myself in your place, And im pretty sure i would be pissed to see ppl getting my game for free when i worked hard and spent hours making it, A job well done deserves payment. There are some who will be buying the game, But sadly i do believe the majority will not, For different reasons, Some just cannot pay, Due to the lack of a payment card, For others the price is just too much for them, 10 or 20 bucks in other countries it's 10 times that price. Regardless i hope you keep on translating other games like these, You may not have the support of everyone but i do believe there are a bunch of them that are willing to buy your games. :D

Yeah, I was supposed to start publishing later, after I get a JLPT 1 certificate so developers would have some guarantee that I know Japanese, but I was so pissed at some publishers releasing buggy/partly translated games that I decided I had to start ASAP. I'm thankful that you think the translation is good, I did my best and wouldn't have released the game if I thought the translation wasn't good enough, but I still have a long way to go, luckily I did find some editors and I'll be talking with them about editing the text in game so I can further improve the translation. Hopefully I can improve my writing skills so hiring an editor becomes unnecessary, but for now, I'll be hiring them to make sure the translation is as good as it can be.
Well I mean, I'm not exactly overjoyed that people are pirating the game, but people have valid reasons for pirating it and there's the issue @Env mentioned, which I sadly can't address, but yeah I'm fine with piracy. Only issue is the buying customers one I mentioned, but there's nothing I can do about that so yeah, it's all cool, I'll just focus on making the customers and developers happy.

When was the last time non-niche, AAA games released with a free demo? I can't remember the last one - and yet, that would be a good way to avoid some piracy... if the 'war' on piracy was actually sensible and above-board. Of course, the reality is very different :/

Oh, thank you very much! I don't think I'm good enough to be a role model, I just feel like replying to a customer's concerns/questions is the normal thing to do. There's been a lot of questions in Steam and plenty of emails and replying to them is the only thing I've been doing since the game launched, but I predicted something like this would happen, the first few days are the most hectic and the questions have slowed down so maybe I can focus on translating more games soon.
But basically Developers = Elder Gods, Customers & Fans = Gods, Me = just a guy who has the honor of publishing the developer's game so I need to do my best so that my actions don't damage the developer's reputation or the game's image.
I guess posting in a piracy site might look bad for some developers, but this neutral stance is the stance I decided to take and I'm not going to change it. Some developers will hate pirates and won't possibly work with me due to my stance, but I'm prepared for that and completely understand them.

I might just be naive or unrealistic, but you and your company might be a case study for gaming piracy.
If your games are selling well despite the day-1 piracy, maybe then we can show some of the top publishers that piracy is not a big problem like they claimed it to be.
Avatar

I like to believe the majority of people pirate to demo the game. That's my reason, anyway. You can hardly blame anyone who does this given the current gaming climate where $60 games are buggy and unfinished, or stealth censored, or don't deliver on promises. Not to mention the Early Access bullshit, and failed kickstarters. There's also plenty of porn games funded on patreon where the devs take such liberties in releasing actual content despite getting paid monthly. In the old days, demos used to be many, because publishers had to convince people to purchase their game. This is also why quality in the old days was so much better. Now we have people who defend shitty practices, lies and deceit. And we have publishers who blame the gamer for their own issues. They are expected to simply take what they can get, with people literally saying you should be happy you get anything at all, despite being a paying customer. Negative feedback, constructive or not, is no longer accepted.
You taking the time to comment here regarding your outlook on piracy is refreshing, and it shows your intelligence. Coming to level with the people who would pirate your game, rather than attacking them can guarantee more sales than had you come guns ablaze. I think the bottom line with a lot of people is if the game is good, then it's worth purchasing, and you can expect paying customers. Of course, it's not all black & white, and some people will pirate simply so they do not have to pay, that's just how it is.
But as is the case with pretty much any decent game; if it's good, it will sell.
For example, anything CDProjectRed releases, I immediately purchase, because I trust them as a developer. One of the most important things is trust, and unfortunately in this current climate, not many developers are trustworthy anymore to deliver those promises and quality you expect from the trailer. Just take a look at Fallout 76, or Mass Effect Andromeda, or even a patreon funded game such as Summertime Saga (for a more "obscure" porn game). And now we have the whole SJW issue where the loud vocal minority end up influencing and ruining games because investors of AAA companies wish to be politically correct. And then you get games like Battlefield V, or the newest wolfenstein. Or localization teams being hijacked to make games "appropriate" for "western audiences". The list of setbacks goes on and further ruins the relationship people have with purchasing games. It's really no wonder people pirate.
So good on you for being proactive. I'll admit, I probably won't be playing this as I'm a bit tired of RPG Maker style games, and just clicked on this to see what it was, when I came across your comment. However, I fully support your stance and wish you much success. You deserve it.

I do think this is the case. PC games aren't the same as console games. Sometimes games simply won't run on the PC sometimes because of compatibility issues, particularly if the game is too old or too new. Heck, I even own a physical copy of Crysis that won't run when I install it, but a pirated version does run. In the past, most games had demos and many games even came with demos of new upcoming games, as well. The price of games is far too high to not know if it will work, let alone if you will even like it. I remember getting game demos in the mail in game magazines and popular video games.
Another way that customers were also able to test games was through renting them at local video stores. I still remember, as a kid, renting N64 and Gamecube games at the local video store. When a game was exceptionally good, I would buy it and, if it was bad, well, I didn't lose much. Sadly, Steam has never bothered to implement such a feature for PC and I think they're really missing out because of it. If Steam offered a feature where you could pay a subscription fee each month or for several months and you could select, say, four games of your choice to play, one for each week, allowing you to play through games through the week at a fixed rate, I think they'd make a killing off of it, especially if the service is affordable and extremely convenient to use.

You can't even trust AAA developers to make a demo
Remember when Square Enix put DENUVO on a DEMO??

Thank you for the input! I see, guess there's plenty of reasons to pirate games, sadly I haven't really played non-H games in the past several years since my PC is too old to even run them so I don't personally have much knowledge about the current quality of AAA games for example. But I do read the news and I've seen some real terrible decisions by developers/publishers so yeah, I understand that pirating the game is the only guaranteed way to really know what you'll be buying.
Yeah, some people will just pirate the game because that way they can get the game for free, but that's how piracy is, some pirate games to avoid getting disappointed, others want to save money and others can't buy the game because the store doesn't serve their country or something. The last point is luckily less and less relevant due to the internet, but some countries do have laws that prevent them from buying certain games or they'll have to buy an altered/censored version.
Yeah, I read the news about Fallout 76 and ME Andromeda and I fully understand where you're coming from. I'll be publishing games I like and I won't alter the content, UNLESS the store demands it due to some laws. In that case, I'll put a note up in my website that mentions what has been removed/censored and I'll host a patch that will uncensor the game too. But otherwise I'll try to avoid altering the game as much as I can, it's the developer's game, not mine, I'm just publishing the game on his/her behalf.
Yeah it's all cool, I've received some messages where users said they didn't like how the game looks cheap / RPG Maker-ish. Sadly most Japanese H-games I'll be focusing on are made in RPG Maker or in WOLF Editor so unfortunately the games I publish won't be very interesting for you, but that's perfectly okay, people who like games like this will buy them and others will buy games they like, not everyone will like everything.
Edit: Deleted my other comment since this one went through after all.
Thank you for the kind comments and the long message, I really appreciate your input and I wish all the best to you too!

I bought a lot of games for me and for my sons by trying them here first or some other pirate sites, such as Terraria, Stardew Valley, Starbound, Dead Cells, Cuphead, Minecraft, to name a few. For your honesty and straightforwardness, I will say that I will try your game and if I I like it, I will definitely buy it on Steam and also give it as a gift to my two sons. Thanks for at least understanding our point of view.

Well, I just googled news about Niplheim and set the time as "last 24 hours" and this was the first result so I decided to say hi on a whim. Otherwise I don't really spend time posting in pirate sites since I need to focus on getting bugs fixed and answering questions from Steam users and from other platforms. But I'll be answering any and all questions in here since I decided to say hi, it would feel rude just saying something and then not replying to anything.

Hello! I'm just the publisher, the 2 developers used WOLF RPG Editor to create the game, there's an English version available on the editor's homepage, it's sort of like RPG Maker, except it's 100% free:
https://www.silversecond.com/WolfRPGEditor/
A word of warning, RPG Maker is much easier to use and there's only a very limited amount of guides/tips/etc available for the English editor, it's made by a Japanese for the Japanese audience and there's plenty of guides & information available in Japanese, but the editor is available in English, so feel free to check it out.
Best of luck with your game and I hope you have a nice day too!

No worries, those who have disposable income within the piracy community tend to support the games they like financially, and those who don't generally support the games they enjoy by word of mouth. I'll check it out, and if I enjoy it I'll purchase it since the price seems fair.

Do not worry. Whoever likes the game will buy anyway.
Believe me, many people will not buy at all because they do not have that intention. This is something big companies never understand.
In some countries the games cost 3 ~ 5x according to the local currency, because the dollar is highly valued. Still the cost of living is very high, among other things. But for sure who likes it will buy your game as soon as possible.

Oh thank you very much! However, feel free to play the demo or pirate it first to make sure you like the game, maybe there's some content in there that you really don't want to support, I would feel bad if you bought the game because of a comment I made, but then you realized you didn't like the game after all. But if there's no such content in the game for you, then I hope you have fun playing it!

You're awesome, man (or woman)!
I for one normally buy games after testing the final release if I really liked them and/or want to support the devs/publishers.
In this case, I will do it just for your two postings here and the communication you had with gamers on steam.
(I'm also confident the game is good too).

more devs need to be like you. that was polite and honest. i mostly view piracy as demo's. since nobody does demo's anymore at all. if i like the game, i buy it, and im pretty sure i'll be doing that just because you are a decent person. thank you for not being an asshole

Ah, I see. Most games don't have demos available nowadays or they don't give a good idea about the whole game so I understand where you're coming from. This feels like the natural thing to do/response to give, but I guess some developers really hate piracy. I guess it varies a lot, some hate pirates and others like them since some pirates do buy games and others will spread the word. I'm on the neutral side, pirating any games I publish is fine, but I do need to make a living too, as long as I can achieve that then I can continue publishing games so more people can enjoy them.

The game clearly mentions that DLC is not installed when trying to start new game (it says dlc save games are incompatible with the dlc disabled). I just unzipped the file, do I need to do something else like apply a patch?

I checked against my version (non-steam) and your version is missing Pic_Ev.wolf (259.602.224 Bytes). Also, although both versions are 1.05 EN, some file sizes are different. Here's a screenshot of my directory listing.
