So this is a remake right, but there's a lot of bugs and glitches because of the Steam Pipe Updates i recommend using Half-Life the 1998 or the WON version if you want to play the game at a faster and more reliable mode but if you want the graphics expansion use this or the Brutal mod
when you install the game from site it dosent set any langue. so defult is russian and you cant change it. only if you buy it from steam it changes becouse steam senses your langue that you are yousing.
if ya want half life with physics and graphics and awesome animations.install brutal doom mod for original half life, it's literally this but 1000x better, just search it in modb to see the latest versions and get amazed
If the game doesn't start for you, add both "Half-Life Source.exe" and "hl2.exe" to DEP (Data Execution Prevention), oh and try running the Half-Life Source.exe in Windows XP compatibility mode. This worked for me, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Press "Start", right click "Computer" > "Properties" > click "Advanced System Protection" > under "Performance", click "Settings" > 'Data Execution Prevention' tab > select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I choose". click "Add", browse to your "hl2.exe" and add it, click ok and restart your pc.
