After it is done downloading , it will ask ya to view the downloaded file press ok or whatever it says. Now the downloaded mod has the wrong name and won't work if u put it like that in mods this program usually downloads the mod and names it a bunch of random numbers [Ex.-348753873].. not gud :p go in the folder of the mod and find the file that is type MOD copy the name of THAT file and rename the folder of the mod the same , u need to do it otherwise the game won't detect the mod. After u renamed it just copy the mod folder in the main game's mods folder aaaand ur done! :o Hope this helps, have fun and enjoy the game!
Valve started cracking down one these kind of websites long ago damn bastards some of them still barely work but most of the time you will get corrupted or outdated mod versions while a lot of times will not be able to download at all. to anyone wanting to play the game, wait until they update to v1.0.59 or higher before downloading, the current version is bugged and will prevent you from speaking to certain faction leaders/high-end weapon and armor shopkeepers and reloading/importing your save WILL NOT fix it.
Yeah the game sometimes simply won't generate a mods folder , all you got to do is make one called mods in the game's directory and just put ur mods in there. Then:
Also remember this as it's quite important in the mods list[image above] the game will always! load the mods in this order bottom first top last soo the lower the mod is the higher the priority. This matters cause any change a mod makes if another mod changes the same things but it's bellow the first one it will overwrite the one above.

But i'm not in a rush I won a few new games over the holidays that i'm currently playing so i'm not in a rush when it's fixed then i'll play it. I'm really surprised at how many games are out now. Only one other time there were this many games and that was a long time ago i have a few thousand games for the old commodore 64. I began pirating them about 1981 when i was 11 so 40 years of pirating.Crap they caught me i'd probably hang like a real pirate! back then we didnt call it pirating we called it trading games because thats what we did your friends made copies of the games you wanted and they did the same when we got to school we would trade the floppy disks the games were on. i downloaded both parts and extracted both of them but im unable to speak with tinfist did i do anything wroght? i unpacked the first part and then from the second part i added the second BIN file from the first pack and then it started instraling. I added my previous save of 1.0.1 update but i get a glitch from the cursor while i hover over tinfist or other npcs is arrow and bubble but when i hold right click and select the talk to option my character just goes to him without talking i even tried to make a brand new save and its the same tinfist doesnt talk at all doest anyone know an solution to that?
very late reply but the current version is very buggy and prevents you from talking to certain people, from what i know, its completely random who you can and cant speak to from save to save.
Although it's quite late for replying, but I still want to leave it here. I have the similar issue as yours, but it is that I can't talk to Moll who is the leader of Flotsam Ninja. My workaround is to download the torrent and then game from https://pcgamestorrents.com/ (razor 1.0.55). After that, loading the save file normally, this enabled me to talk to Moll, so gratifying. I guess it has the same host as this site (igg-games)

51 right now is in experimental branch this update doesn't add anything just fixes some bugs: Fixed deleting saves from new save location Fixed bar squads not spawning in Heng due to multiple towns in one zone Fixed issue with initial player health if race was changed during character creation And for the slaves when buying them there is only a chance for them to join you but following you I think it might be some sort of glitch why they don't , but there are some stupid cowardly slaves that indeed do not want to be freed and would rather obey their masters hence why when u try to free them they go back in the cage or don't want to move. dud first of all really thanks for the reply didn't think someone would reply or know any info. I really like the game and since I'm playing hive only recruiting is really important. I don't want to use the mods like "oh every slave joins you" because i like that they have personalities some are cowards, brave or they have families and stuff I think it's more immersive or the "you can recruit every prisoner with dialogue" 'cuz I think it's just broken and makes recruiting like hunting pokemons. So yeah like you mentioned cowardly slaves are no bug they either stay in cages or run away from you after some distance, but I only found only one other instance of this bug is guy mentioning it on redddit that slaves are just aimless after exiting the cage when buying them. Also dud how did you find the changelog? cuz i was looking for it in steam and so on the only place I didn't look is lo-fi games is it there?
Ey no problem m8 , glad to see others enjoyng the game ! I really love it too! it's soo damn addicting , easly put at least 400 hours and the lore of the game fascinates me a lot it's really deep and interesting to be honest despite some glitches/problems this game is a freaking gem it is one of a kind. Oh and I looked a bit into this weird thing with the slaves just sitting when being freed without saying a word or anything and from what I saw it is a dialog glitch these ones are the type to be too scared to try and escape but for some reason the dialog lines do not show up AND there might be another problem where the AI might be glitched and doesn't recognise the player's action something like that. I think it's more of a rare bug I myself think I came across something like this 2-3 times (tho I don't really have a nice standing with slavers and everytime it ends up with horde of skeletons rampaging in the slave camps XD) The changelog I always check it on steam here is the link:https://store.steampowered.com/newshub/app/233860 It is usually in the "News" tab on steam there they anounce every update ahead of time just scroll down or up to what version u want to see and press on it , it will show all changes/fixes and it has comments underneath some ppl post questions or problems there and usually people are eager to help even the developers. I literally never EVER played Kenshi without mods. Without mods, the leveling is such a chore and the economy/trading mechanics also puts the player at stalemate.

with updates and as such, go to kenshi's steam page, scroll down and to the update section on the right, you should get any detailed information that you like there
easy there, which one is your problem ? The shinobi in Hub are located in Shinobi Tower. Most buildings in Hub was broken and you have to buy it and rebuild it with Building Materials. If you importing game, make sure you uncheck "import dead NPCs" since some shop NPC could die when they fight invading bandits.
make sure you play un-modded version(empty mod folder). Most buildings in hub are indeed broken, except shinobi tower and bar. I don't remember any mod that breaks the shinobi tower and the bar, tho. Missing dialogue usually happens if the game translations are unavailable or incomplete, or.. again, the mods.
Because Windows is sometimes retarded, eventhough sometimes it says "with dx11 or dx12, all previous directx are already installed", well it's not. You gotta reinstall. Also, Kenshi ran on (severely outdated) OGRE 2.0 engine that only capable of handling Directx 9.0. The Directx installer is already on the game files ( folder name : dependencies/dx9). Just do as I said and tell us if it's not working.

Is the file size less than 5 MB? Did you get the file directly, or have you used an exe? If the answer to any of the questions is yes, you downloaded an ad. Please try downloading the files again and make sure you get the correct ones.
you need to download both parts. one file contains only a part of the whole game, the other one has the rest. when you have both downloaded you only need to open up part1 file. igg do this like that to be less detectable as piracy on google drive and other hosts i think (but i am not sure) if you having a problem downloading games that are 5 parts or more, get free download manager, you can set up a download que in this program (kind of like steam download games one at a time)

An incredible game, it has a fallout 3-ish taste to its graphics and general artstyle, and once you've get passed trough the akward non-scripted-open world gameplay, you will either love it or hate it. The game mechanics are very complex and complete, but they mix very well together. Think of it as a fallout 2 gameplay with 3d and much more, and you get keshin. A must try.

Download part 1 then part 2, then open the part 1 with wirar, and you will either get a .iso or directly the game. Megaup shows me a blank page, Mega has ridiculously low download limit, Google Drive says too many connections last couple hours so i can't download, Rapidgator gives me 10h (TEN FUCKING HOURS) for a single part of download with 10mb/s download internet speed, Uptobox (only decent download link) gave me 1mb/s download speed, and Uploaded gives me "This file exceeds the max". Please, PLEASE, upload files to decent sites, like NOPY, Workupload and Anonfile, best sites to download games from.

Downloaded from drive, tried to start the game and got messages telling me I was missing Msvcr100.dll, Mfc100u.dll, Msvcp100.dll so I turned off my antivirus and redownloaded and extracted again in case my antivirus was deleting files, but that didn't help. I still get messages telling me Im missing the dll's. Any help?
Those are all missing Microsoft programs. Just go to the website for Microsoft and download their Microsoft Visual C++ Redistrubutables. Get all of them.

Those are redist files, some games include them, some don't. But basically you pretty much need those files anyway to run some programs, so they assume you already have those installed. Cant really help you if you dont state what the error was, but try Run as Admin
Thanks for trying to help, I actually solved my problem a few days ago but didnt post here! I ended up reinstalling all my redists and for some reason, that fixed it and the game starts now. I guess maybe they were corrupted somehow? Anyways, thanks!

Hmm It said DLL in the report.... But I don't know if it's right.... You can tell your problem on Kenshi Discord, many members would help you there.... But if they mention to open Steam or relate to it you might figure that one out by yourself....
That's a really silly question. As 1) This site uploads games that require windows operating system. 2) It shows in requirements that you need windows 7 or higher. 3) Chromebooks use a proprietary Operating system that is very lightweight, based around cloud storage and generally Chromebooks are built with low-end processors and use integrated graphics cards. If you want to play games with a chromebook your only hope is 1) Cloud Gaming or 2) Remote Desktop to a windows computer powerful enough to play the games you want. The downside to both of these is they require internet connection and often have more latency.
If you want to torrent a game instead of direct downloading it, use the torrent site link at the top of the page, and the use the search bar to find the game you're looking for

try going to the kenshi files look for a folder called commonredist and run the applications in there, that is one way to typically fix those issues, if that does not work look for a folder called dependencies and run those applications ( message back if it works)

Can anyone explain to me why we need two parts? Is part 2 the actual update and part 1 is the actual game? I have 1.0.2 installed so would I only have to download part 2 and be done with it? Also would I lose my saved data, please someone respond.
the 2 parts combine to make the game, you need both of them, you have to use WinRAR to recombine them to play the game. also you will manually have to transfer the save folder data to the new version. you do this by going to the 1.0.2 version open the files and look for a save folder then you just move them to the new version's save folder. when you start the game you have to import the save to get it to 1.0.13 after this you will have the new version with your save data.
Kenshi is about making your own story so for a campaing its kinda plain and multiplayer for this game is not possible becouse kenshi what mean to be singleplayer game and the engine/core for the game wasnt meant for mp so for multiplayer you woud have to heavily modify the engine
Skyrim is a singleplayer game but modders now made a multiplayer for it. Want to play it with atlest one friend. And you cant make a story . U can just imagine it .. And u can kill everyone and everything and bulid. By a campaign i meant with proper dialagoue and lore. I just found one mod , "the shadow dealer" it does something like that.
kenshi is impossible to mod a lot of things in because of no dedicated modding tools, only the forgotten construction set with very limited possibilities. if the devs release better modding tools something could be done probably
kenshi does have lore it is sprinkled in here and there across the factions, areas, and unique characters for example have you found tinfist, catlon, bugmaster or any of the other bounties.
Great game, but wow, there's definitely no hand-holding in this game. Start a new character and pray you make it to a friendly town before getting eaten or enslaved.
So this time i used 7-Zip instead of Winrar. Whenever i extract both files it says Kenshi 1.0.11 part 2 missing and when i extract Part 2 this messege shows. There is clearly a fault in part 2
ok I see your issue you have part 1 which is version 1.0.11 then you have part 2 which is version 1.0.12. the way to solve this is download part one from this site again then you extract the files like you was doing. the reason this happened is because you download part 1 then when you got part 2 at a later time when they changed the version. ( also the game is not optimized the best, you will need a fairly decent computer to play with decent 30 fps)
I downloaded both rar files from http://MegaUp.net and when i extract the 1st rar at end it ask for 2nd rar but when i use 2nd rar and hit yes it shows and error and extract 2nd rar as separate folder.So i the .exe file only exists in 2nd part folder i tried running the game but it shows error. I also tried merging both folders but the error still remain. plzz admins help me with this issue.Thanks
I do not trust this update, steam and lofigames only mentions v1.0.10... the only place I have seen a version higher is on youtube that is in Russian (I think) and is v1.0.12
first of all, I did do research and that is why i posted. the reason i did not find this information is it is listed under a version 1.0 title so was very easy to miss, but i do thank you for the link so i know where to look for update information now. just remember speak to people the way you would want people to speak to you and have a nice day.
Steam and the lofi website only shows this game at version 1.0.10, not sure about this 1.0.11 version... unless this is a beta test version that is not listed yet.

A very interesting and unique game, with a huge world and lots of exploration, unfortunately crippled by an antiquated engine, horrible performance, incessant bugs and a very rudimentary UI.
hi i cant start the game. i click kenshi_x64 and it crashes and says seems packaging the crash dump failed miserably. there should be a .dmp file there instead. i go back to the file and there appears a .dmp extended file about crash. it happens the same when i click launcher. whats the solution?
Hey there all. I have some info regarding the constant issues with installing the game and it does have to do with the AV. there was a recent windows update about two weeks ago that implemented a new malicious software tool that detects and removes any "malware/Viruses" that it finds. I have seen that if you disable your anti-virus when you install the game it does help but when you enable it again it will immediately find the file and remove it. You'll have to go to the notification center for your AV and add the exclusion This normally solves all the issues. Please share across the site, Hope it helps :)

The way I see it, small development team, first released game, big aspirations, couple of game breaking bugs is still better than Huge company, releasing their 20+th game, a bug where the game deletes the whole game, big aspirations....of making money.. There are still bugs in Kenshi and even the dev team said they will continue to fix bugs and stuff like that after release. Currently there are very few game-breaking bugs, and even if that happens you can just import the game. I dont really see where your point comes from, most of those bugs are fixable and rarely occur. If you have any unreported bugs or anything like that you should report it to the devs in the discord server.
Stealing glitch still works. Pacifier for holy nation still dont work. Ill wait for next 15 years until they fix those game breaking bugs which were there since start.
I think you fail to realize how complex this game is, if you want a streamlined experience with little to no bugs that can be fixed via community mods, play elder scrolls. No need to be passive aggressive when it's a small team working on a huge project. Even Daggerfall had more people working on that than this game has.

dont bother, takes more than 10 hours of bug abuse that's apparently a "feature" to get past the start, impossible to kill even a animal with 4 people in your party until then, there's no "story", none of the NPCS have lore, within the time i've played there's only been three "unique" npcs that gave me two lines of dialogue.
This comment is the embodiment of a person that's been conditioned by the game design of today. That's not bad, I have, in some aspects, also been conditioned to have everything served to me on a plate from lvl 1. That's why Kenshi is a breath of fresh air, because it serves as an actual RPG as opposed to an Action Adventure game. There's no story because you create your own story. You start skinny or fat, you get buff over time I think you'd prefer Action Adventure games like Skyrim and Fallout instead of pure DnD RPG like games like this one. Maybe you'd rather enjoy being a premade character like Dragonborn, where your fate is set in stone. Maybe you'd rather enjoy a story where you're told what to do, rather than forging your own. Maybe you'd rather enjoy combat where you can kill everything and everyone at lvl 1. Me personally, I'm bored of those types of games. Run from point A to point B just to go back to Point A, not because I want to, but because I have to.
Kenshi is not a game you can just hop into. It takes some time but it is very rewarding and worth it. 90% of the npcs in the game have lore. Its impossible to kill anything because your men are weak and untrained. You cant expect 4 people who've never held a sword in their life to be able to use it, you need to train them. There is no story as the game is non linear, meaning you create your own story as you go along. The start is always hard untill you progress.

It's not an RPG, it's a sandbox game. You do whatever you want in a massive and hostile map. It's up to you to build a base and recruit many people or travel all the world alone as a thief, trader, adventurer... Best game ever.
To me, that's more of an RPG than jumping into someone's shoes and have been given a goal. In fact, I'd argue that games like TES, Witcher and so on are Action-Adventure games, and sandbox styled games like Kenshi are RPG. It's like a DnD RPG, you choose and customize your character. The combat is basically real time with a pause. It's got a lot of lore hidden but it's mostly you building your own story, and a lot of hardcore survival. You aren't special, you're just another starving drifter trying to make his cats (the currency in this game, not to be confused with felines). The combat is pretty unique and it's fun for people who like to do their own thing.
I'd say it' comparable to Fallout 2 and Wasteland 2, but without any real story. It's just one of those games that throws you into its world and lets you do your thing.
In terms of plot F2 is superior in every aspect. In character building is hardcore. (even in graphics). Do you remember Gothic? Same thing in an asian setting. Its not horrible but it will not blown your mind. good for times you dont have anything else to play... just my opinion.

After it is done downloading , it will ask ya to view the downloaded file press ok or whatever it says. Now the downloaded mod has the wrong name and won't work if u put it like that in mods this program usually downloads the mod and names it a bunch of random numbers [Ex.-348753873].. not gud :p
go in the folder of the mod and find the file that is type MOD copy the name of THAT file and rename the folder of the mod the same , u need to do it otherwise the game won't detect the mod.
After u renamed it just copy the mod folder in the main game's mods folder aaaand ur done! :o

Also remember this as it's quite important in the mods list[image above] the game will always! load the mods in this order bottom first top last soo the lower the mod is the higher the priority.
This matters cause any change a mod makes if another mod changes the same things but it's bellow the first one it will overwrite the one above.

also did anyone face buying slaves and then instead of following you they just stand around aimlessly? Or freeing the slaves by picklocking them re-entering the cells then forcing them out and still standing aimlessly?
Fixed deleting saves from new save location
Fixed bar squads not spawning in Heng due to multiple towns in one zone
Fixed issue with initial player health if race was changed during character creation
And for the slaves when buying them there is only a chance for them to join you but following you I think it might be some sort of glitch why they don't , but there are some stupid cowardly slaves that indeed do not want to be freed and would rather obey their masters hence why when u try to free them they go back in the cage or don't want to move.

Oh and I looked a bit into this weird thing with the slaves just sitting when being freed without saying a word or anything and from what I saw it is a dialog glitch these ones are the type to be too scared to try and escape but for some reason the dialog lines do not show up AND there might be another problem where the AI might be glitched and doesn't recognise the player's action something like that.
I think it's more of a rare bug I myself think I came across something like this 2-3 times (tho I don't really have a nice standing with slavers and everytime it ends up with horde of skeletons rampaging in the slave camps XD)

It is usually in the "News" tab on steam there they anounce every update ahead of time just scroll down or up to what version u want to see and press on it , it will show all changes/fixes and it has comments underneath some ppl post questions or problems there and usually people are eager to help even the developers.
