Got the mdf mounted, but Setup wouldn't open. Nothing happens when I run it, but the Task Manager sees it as a background process

It won't run bruh. Don't know if its a compatibility error as I just run the game and nothing happens. Tried all compatibility options (changing to win xp sp2, win 7, etc). Even tried downloading patches, nothing happens.
As much as I love the website, I think I'll download this one on another site..
