ok, so i changed it into windowed mode and half of the top/left game screen was outside my screen and could not change it back into fullscreen, alt-enter dint work either. Never got to play it RIP

Had the same problem, just force it down with alt+f4 and restart the game you can alter the screen resolution just in the main menu so it is lower than your cc resolution and set to window mode, I am playing atm at 1900x1600 in window mode and its fine.
