hey, I'm following the steps and the only problem is I can't mount disk 2 since I only get a .bin and .cue file- when extracting from 7z it says there's a problem with the .bin file? I tried reinstalling part 2 and no success : ( the mount says that it's just 'unable to mount'
someone should really just make a video on how to install this game. if there's anyone that plays it in 2020 ahaha I've spent 3 days trying to install this game and I'm losing my mind

Hi!!!!! I’ve spent an hour on this with the same issues as everyone else!
First, we have to install the crack (the version 1.4 one from gamecopyworld)! Just drag and drop (once you unzip the crack with 7zip or winrar or whatever) into the Desperate Housewives.exe that’s in Program Files inside Buena Vista Games folder and then download the patch from the same site. Now, install the patch. For me it was just downloading it and unzipping it and then running the file.
Next!!!! understand this. Bush was president when this game come out. This game is not meant to be run on computers like ours (hopefully) with multi cores. So, you might be like me and not be able to get it to boot for more than 3 seconds, either way you have to do the same thing so that you can either change the amount of cores it uses (set affinity) so it WILL boot at all OR change it permanently so you don’t have to do this every time. Before you follow this video, right click the cracked .exe inside Program files and go to properties > compatibility and then click run as admin and change it so it runs in compatibility mode for Windows XP service pack 3. NOW. Video time.

Do this EXACTLY but make a shortcut for the cracked .exe and make sure it goes to desktop. Change the target in the shortcut you just made using the tutorial (command in description, change xx to 01 (and keep all parentheses in the command shown in description) and leave it on your desktop so it’s there for you to click like a normal shortcut. Now, hope and pray and try to run it. If it doesn’t work, go over your steps again. So basically do what everyone else did + this extra step I haven’t seen anyone mention. ALSO, tip: if you ever play an older game on your PC like Silent Hill or something, try changing affinity in task manager (this exact thing but easier if you can get the game to open and stay open).

CD 2 is not working right

I know it's late but some youtuber played it and i decided to try. So for anyone who have trouble installing it, here's how.

1. Download and extract the files.
2. Mount cd 1 and copy all of the file on setup folder to your own drive.
3. Then find setup with the computer icon, not the apple one. Right click, properties, then change the compatibility with win xp pack 3.
4. Run setup as administrator, insert disk 2 if asked.
5. If you played it perhaps it will tell that it need cd 1 even though you already mount it.
6. So head over to http://gamecopyworld.eu and search for desperate housewife crack, mine works with the last one on the list, the 8mb one.
7. Download, extract, then replace the desperatehousewife.exe on program files with the crack.
8. Change the compatibility with win xp pack 3 and run as administrator.
   Have fun playing!

Could anyone that got this game to work give steps on how to properly install this?

I have tried various methods, but I can't get the game to work! One of the files says use Securom loader but I can't find it anywhere! Is this game just a lot cause???

Hey guys found a fix. http://www.gameburnworld.com/dl/dl2/m.php?p=DesperateHousewivesTheGamev1.4FixedexeUS.rar Apply this once you have mounted any file from CD1 (to access the setup) then when asked for second CD, choose any file from CD2 (I used powerISO to do this btw) And then copy and paste this application .exe file you can find here with the one in your program x86. This one I can guarantee has no viruses but if for some reason it doesn't work just search 'Desperate Housewives no CD crack' or something similar. Be careful they might not all work!

how do you install the game??

My game won't save. When I try to save it says 'error occurred. The game can't be saved'.

I was able to get this to work! First, you only need the Part 1 file. I didn't use part 2 at all. Second, mount CD 1 using daemon tools as provided in the software link above. Go through the installation process and make sure during the installation you mount disk 2 when asked to insert the second disk during installation. Then remount disk 1 to finish installation and use for launching the game. When I originally got the disk backup (1000) error I realized that I had other stuff mounted. Make sure when mounting to play nothing else is mounted on any other software as well (clone drive, Power ISO, etc.). Once I closed that down and shut down Daemon tools all went well. The game is running flawlessly! :)

The game doesn't work. I've done everything correctly but every time I click on the game, it says 'Please insert the original disc instead of backup (1000).

so ive downloaded desperate housewives but now everytime i press pay it says i need the original disk can someone help me please i was really looking foward playing the game

So I've done everything possible to get this game to work. I installed it properly (I'm very skilled with installing torrents, etc) but trying to run the game is a big issue. Game will go to the main menu (Female with the apple) and then go back to desktop without any crash error announcement. Also, the game I downloaded did not come with a crack. I found A crack somewhere else, but still. Goes back to desk top. Your links aren't very helpful either because most no longer work, and there are things mentioned in your links that did not even come with my download. I appreciate you trying to put this game up, but it does not work.

If any of the mods see this , please don't think I am playing this game , I am just helping people out (coughdesperate housewives: the game , what the actual f*** cough)
