I will make a guide on how to install the game and solve the error 1503. 1-Download all parts of the game and English patch. 2-Extract all parts of the game but DO NOT extract the English patch. 3-Open the folder that appeared when you extracted the parts of the game. There will be two files there: MKS-1. CDI and MKS-2. CDI. 4-Open the daemon tools and mount the MKS-1 file. Once assembled, double-click the mounted file. 5-run the setup. exe file. 6-in the middle of the installation will ask for Disk 2. Minimize the window. Dismount the MKS-1 from where he was and mount the MKS-2. CDI in the same place where he was assembling the MKS-1. 7-Go back to the window that had minimized before and click OK. 8-When finished installing, run the English patch. exe in the same folder where the image discs were installed, should appear the right part automatically, just press next. If not, it will be on the hard disk somewhere in the program Files (x86). 9-When finished search and download the Alpharomdie program and install it on the Internet. You’ll have an alpharomdie. exe file. Put it in the same Majikoi-s folder on your hard drive. 10-Drag the game launcher. EXE to the Alpharomdie. exe to open. 11-should work. Goto below the comments and find user "Croco deal" for installation steps also download AlphaROMdiE here and find the build20140124. Make sure to have japan locale or use applocale in every program especially the shortcut in the end.
I dragged the "まじこいＳ.exe" into AlhpaROMdiE.exe then created the shortcut and opened the game however after I close it and re-open the shortcut it opens AlhpaROMdiE.exe instead of opening the game. I was running Japanese locale at every step using locale emulator but it looks like I'm missing some steps. I deleted the shortcut then redo the drag, create and open. Hope you can share your experience if you did solve it.

I know it is late ( like 5 months late ) but your install directory is wrong , it is showing up on the CD drive D ( the one with the u installed games ) you have to first install the whole game and after that you put where you installed your game and then you're good.
I have a weird problem with the installation. I copied the english patch exe in my game folder and when i execute it and choose the install folder Im unable to press next.
4 months later but hey better late than ever , if your English patch option is greyed out be sure your installation path is correct ( you need to put the location of where you installed the game before ) since the English patch cant find the exe of the game the option will get greyed out , any more questions just reply to this comment.

For the google drive quota exceeded issue just replace the "uc" with "open" on the website address, click the 3 dots on the right and star it into a google account with sufficient storage, then finally download it from your drive in the "starred" section.

i just found an annoyance when you start a new game any text in the message box starts overlapping i can read it but i prefer it not mashed into a blob of letters could someone help me fix this
Someone can help me? I cannot save progress (even config) in Majikoi S. Game runs just fine, but when I try to save the game there is always no data. I think I tried everything:
Install the game in jap locale many, many times in different locations (even tried in my own locale)
read the wiki to search where game can save progress, checked every location and there isn't any folder for Majikoi S
tried applocale app, still nothing works
downloaded game from different sources, still the same
tried to run as admin, same thing
disable my antivirus, still nothing. Seriously I ran out of ideas :(
ok this is 5 month late i think the game don't have a "save" folder that is most of the reason why you can't save.if you use the locale emu is just changing the location of your pc so you basically did nothing to fix it sorry to say it like that PS: this happen to most visual novel game so if you have the same problem just go check if there is a "save" folder
I'm currently having the same issue with the first Majikoi, and I suggest not turning of your PC and instead let it sleep. It will keep running in the background so as long as you don't close it it will work. You should do your best to finish a route as fast as possible because if it does close you can just skip until the end of the routes you finished and then start a new one. Skipping through one route took me about 5 mins max. Also use a guide or write down your choices so that you won't be tempted to waste time reading what is usually slightly different text.

Hmmm... probably it's because you don't have the regional settings in your pc in Japanese. You can change it by searching in your windows "region" > "administrative" > "Change system locale" and then you select Japanese. If you still have the weirds characters i don't really know. But i reccomend to re-install the game with the region set as japanese just in case if this doesn't solve the problem. Also, for another eroges and stuff you can use AppLocale. It's a really great program it's for not changing your locale, the thing is. Since you have to drag the .exe into another program you can't use the AppLocale in Majikoi. Basically it works for any other game except for this one.
Alright so I am at a point where I'm just needing to install the english patch, but I can't seem to do so. For the sole reason of I cannot select the NEXT button after selecting a location. What do I do?
I think this bug is when you install the game without any program to make your pc looks like it is from japan , try changing your computer to japan hour and place or use the locale emulator to open , if that does not fix tell me what keeps happening after that.
I have this error too. I changed the location to Japan at the control center (and restarded my pc), and also opened it with Locale emulator as admin. Help please :/
This game is in iso right ? open the iso and copy all files inside to some place on your windows and than try opening with locale emulator ( a programs that say that you are from japan ) and see if that fix
I did that. But then it asks for the CD (i think) so I ran the "CDs" in the background, but started the setup frum the already copied folder. But it's the same. I also duble checked, and I did change my locale to japanese. I use Locale Emulator 2.2.1.0 (I don't know if you are supposed to be, but I'm unable to start any of the other files (DirectXCheck, Filechk, StartUpTool, まじこいＳ))
From what i remember when i downloaded there was a with config.html , try copying that on the same folder where you intall the game , turn off the antivirus just to be safe and dont click outside the setup just to be safe , if this keeps happening i dont know how to fix it , i just used my locale emultator to open and was working

So when I launched the game it was no longer looking for the fucked up " ‚Ý‚Č‚Ć‚»‚Ó‚Ć " / " }W‚±‚˘I " (which was the save location before, becasue it didn't recognise japanese characters), so it created a folder with the actual japanese name. When I copied the saves from the old to the new folder, everything worked like before. (Just for anyone who might encunter the same problem)

First thing , you need to have a program called Locale Emulator to put where you live as a japan than after that you going to open the AlphaROMDIE using the locale emulator clicking the right button , after that a window should open up , than you go where you installed the game normally and drag the exe of the game ( まじこいＳ) and trown on the window that pop and and accept two times than the game should open up without any problem , Welp i hope you understand what i said , Good Luck
if you are having a error opening the game "error [ 1503 ] i fixed by myself here is what i do , i download two programs one called Locale Emule and put my region to japan and the other is AlphaROMdiE after you download those two you right click on the AlphaROMDIE and open , it should open a window in japanase , dont worry after that you go to the game directory that you installed and find the EXE of your game , than you thrown the file on the window that opened of the AlphaROMdiE and you accept two times , after that your game should open without any problem , sorry if you dont understand or not work but for me it is working

Well for what i did i extracted them first then mounted them using PowerISO then i ran the setup the setup (You can delete the files from the setup later, what you need is where the you extracted the files) after the setup run the english patch is and you can install it the you can now delete the files from the setup. then click drag the AlphaRome.exe to まじこいＳ.exe then it should start in english
