its not really false positives, most high end anti-virus programs dont like cracked games and add things like these to try to discourage it, even tho it doesnt do much

Not here you can't, unless the upload has individual updates to the game, which would be posted below the system requirements. This game doesn't have that option.
Is there any way to download mods on this version? Seeing as mod.io rejects the application since its not from steam, I was curious if there was any other way to do so.
Either you can download part 1 and then part 2 into the same folder or you can download using the torrent link which is a lot easier but require a torrent app on your PC for example uTorrent or Torrex
so you need to download both files (part 1 & part 2) after that put them in a file as (.rar) and extract both of them at the same time to create a file aka (Extract here / your files name)
make sure you close your antivirus during the download when you download a cracked game it will false possitive that its a virus causing your file to not have anything
u just download the parts and then click "extract file" on one of them and it will automatically create a new folder for you with the game. no need to copy into folder yourself

if you have mods installed via vortex, remove them all and check for updates then try to restart the game, to quote someone below "Well there are just bug fixes with the game and U10.2 will help with them and mods won't be able to run U10"
I'm reinstalling it currently I have ass wifi so it'll take a while but I'm going to see if they fixed the one time bootup thing cause it worked the first time and stuck in a loading screen every other time and every other version I've gotten it from here its worked fine but U10 didn't I have a GTX 1070 and an i7 with 16GB of ram which is the recommended so before it downloads if anyone knows a fix I'd greatly appreciate it also im getting it from the google drive link if that helps with any info

Just a warning, a lot of mods are outright hostile to pirated copies of the game. The Outer Rim explicitly has stuff in it to make it not work. I mean, if anyone got it to work then tell us because I certainly can't figure it out.
fixed it, there are two exe's one has the word "unpacked" in it, thats the real one, remove the unpacked from the file and launch it above is the "unparketd" or whatever it was
On WMR and I've tried EVERY SINGLE BINDING, can't move or turn my character. Can play and every other action works on the controllers but I can't move the actual character. I also can't customize anything past the hair style and beard. Clicking on the other options does nothing.

It is a problem with your mods, they conflict eachother or aren't compatible with this version which is update 8.4 beta 4. One known mod you may be using is the god mode mod

IGG doesn't downgrade games under any circumstance, sorry. The version available is the only one that will be available until the game gets updated and the updated version is uploaded.

There will be an exe with the name "BladeAndSorcery.exe.unpacked.exe" and the exe "BladeAndSorcery.exe" , delete "BladeAndSorcery.exe" and then rename "BladeAndSorcery.exe.unpacked.exe" to "BladeAndSorcery.exe" and then open, hope that makes sense.
I'm a little new to VR but I've seen Facebook's new policys and how you have to link your fb account and all and if you're banned then you just lose your games. So would downloading a vr game here and playing it on vr would FaceBook see that and have the power to ban you or does it only relate to what you do on fb?

Try clearing your documents folder, or go back to an older version. The game isn't using more GPU, but I think it's using more ram. So if you have only 8 you might struggle a bit.
i've been using this website for a while now and i never had issues with it. Just make sure you are clicking the right thing and if it downloads something that isnt a .rar or .zip file it is not the right thing so delete it right away and you should be fine

Copy all .json files from main game dir to BladeAndSorcery_Data\StreamingAssets\SteamVR If SteamVR folder is not there then create it manually. That will fix it

theres a weird thing and idk if someone other has this issue.. but when i play on a higher wave say.. hard 2 sometimes and rarely (happened to me 2 times) there was this white-pink armored girl and when i killed her my entire pc froze and i had to restart.. there were no viruses or something just a weird glitch.. you can think that i made it up but next time when i see her i will try to make a screenshot
So I found a solution to your problem Go to: Documents/My Games and delete Blades and Sorcery folder. but my problem is that I can't interact with the create character button. Edit: I found a fix to my problem. Just copy all the .json files to BladeAndSorcery_Data\StreamingAssets\SteamVR hopefully this helps you.
download it select all of the rar files "in this case it's just one" and extract them then open the director and then start the exe BUT before you start the game start windows mixed realty and set the floor distence etc, then start the game it will start steam VR automatically "but you need steam VR installed" and BOOM yee gud

make sure you are not using the spectator camera if you wanna disable it just press f1 or f2 on your keyboard while the game is focused than you should be able to click on the books
Hello, I have had a problem with the game for a month. When I arrive in the character creation menu, I cannot click on anything, the button is displayed in blue when I pass over it with the cursor. I already tried to reinstall the game. I already tried to put my windows in English. I have already tried to reset the backup. until u8 is officially posted here, i applied the crack to my copy of u8 and it appears to work, i have it up @ https://mega.nz/file/NZsjnaJa#rPimB_mrDEHLFAVQsQYvT5B5lheOJtM19qHj7H2BBFw as many people have mentioned though, this version has serious performance issues. i was able to make it run a bit better by disabling MSAA and turning down the shadow distance, but it will still have a little bit of stuttering. unless you really want to play U8, i highly suggest sticking with U7
To anyone having the issue where you can startup the game but not move or click on any buttons just copy ALL the .json files from the main directory into Blade & Sorcery\BladeAndSorcery_Data\StreamingAssets\SteamVR and it should work fine

no it is a zip file with 2 dll files in it, you should be using ublock origin on chrome or firefox. you prob clicked something else that your current spyware infested browser is showing you.

First thing i did was disable them all but same result, game starts up fine both times but clicks aren't working so i can't do anything but stay in the start menu.
True it does let me highlight when i disable the eye, but no matter what i do i cant click anything, also when i get into the game using the eye to click I cant even move. It feels like the settings for the controllers are not there.

You downloaded an ad. Make sure to download from a trustworthy link and that the name and file size of your downloaded file match the game's name and file size. Example: This game's rar should be roughly 4.6 GB and should have the name "Blade And Sorcery". No downloads here should have a password.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a binding tool in SteamVR itself. Press the system button on your controllers, go to settings, bindings and then click on the program that is currently running (Blade And Sorcery) and change the bindings around a bit. If that doesn't work, are you sure you're just touching the touchpad? You don't have to press it to walk anymore. They changed the controls a bit in this update.

I have a feeling that it chould be from where the bindings are placed. Just a hunch. Cause the game loads continuously if json files break. Like extra waves files beling misplaced or a character json is broken. Then again i have no idea. Just throwing this out there
You're probably right, but it's hard to do anything about it if that's the case. There was probably a problem during the cracking or uploading process.
You should've read the comments before downloading it. As of right now, the game does not work because the game hangs on loading. There is no fix that works (That we know of, anyway) as of right now. I recommend waiting for the newest update (6.1) to be uploaded here, which will hopefully fix the loading issue.
Sadly, that doesn't work. I talked with a few people on the official Discrod server, but they didn't know what the problem was either. So I'm guessing the crack is messed up. Thankfully a new update just came out (6.1), which might have fixed the issue.
There is now a NEW update available! It's the "Update 6.1" and fixes a few things, possibly even the loading issue. I already requested it in the Game Request section, so let's hope they update it soon!
Make sure that your sound device is set to your HMD. If this is the only game in wjich you can't hear sound, try to make it fullscreen and look through the game's settings.

To be honest I don't beleive this game in it current state is worth $30, I enjoyed playing it as a tech demo on a mates VR but man i would be pissed paying full price for it in it's current state. I understand it's early access & I do think it is very cool but given that it's early access & there is no guarentee the games development will not be abandoned or given it's ambitiousness that this one man hobbyist developer will not hit major hurdles (such as vr or unitys limits) & be unable to complete. In it's current state it sits as a good tech demo, perhaps charging $10 for the early access demo would be more reasonable. I really don't think the combat is very good, a lot of marketing going around saying how it's so realistic, it might be the most realistic combat on vr but the movesets & combat are ridiculously gamey, it's an absolute farce to say anything in VR is realistic, they are immersive video games, always makes me think of all those people that beleive simulation theory because we already have "photorealistic simulations". None the less I do think it is a cool little tech demo & I will be seeing how it progresses & will perhaps purchase it later down the line.
The thing with VR is that in it's current state, developing games is REALLY hard. 90% of the money used goes towards understanding the engines and capabilities and building the core foundation of a VR game, it's ass for customer's in the VR space to buy games at the moment because it costs too much, but at the same time the game you are buying probably took 3x longer to develop than a standard game (probably 3x more pricey too.)
Dude has quit his job after releasing a tech demo, the money goes to things like his rent, food & leisure not 'understanding engins & capabilities', Yes building the core foundation of the game takes time & effort but a hobbyist screwing around in a gamemaking software costs nothing but time & can also be considered a leisure activity rather than work, especially when compared to being required to quickly complete hard physical labour for minimal pay. Good for you if you are doing well enough financially & your money was easy enough to come by & your cost of living is cheap enough that you want to donate to the developers new quality of life in the hopes he will someday release something worth playing but i need that money for food & rent & don't think anything worthwhile is actually going to come of this game. If developing for VR games is so hard & takes 3 times longer to develop how long will it take a single man (who is probably a hobby level coder) to bring the game from early access to a releasable title? I personally think given what we've seen from small (but immeansly larger) dev teams COUGH COUGH BANNERLORD COUGH that this game will remain early access forever & never get past arena style combat & once the dev has finished milking it/released how unrealistic a one man dev team is he will start working on another game based of same engine but actually start work on story ect & be selling that early access to fund development also.
There are no official updates since december 13. This upload is the most recent official branch of the game. The next major update is still in the beta branch for testing.
It works. I've been playing this since it was posted. Haven't tried steam though.. Works fine through the oculus app. Try creating a shortcut to the exe. In properties add -vr -steamvr to the end of the target to force steam.. To force oculus, -vr -oculusvr
Thing is, I've got a Vive and it runs just fine for me, what I do first is open SteamVR first and then I open up the game, so it works just fine for me.

You have to make sure the game window is open and on top on your desktop, I had the same problem. It is a known bug, the creator of the game is working on it, but you don't care about him.

If a game is worth the money they should have no fear in letting me try it before I make a purchase. people will buy the game if they like it, and have the money. piracy or whatever you call it, is basically the demos we once had one the 1980s-1990s to early 2000s. If these pigs at least had a demo of a game you could download for few hundred megabytes, these games would sell better. But if you gotta downloaded a freaking 10-100gb game and rush your ass off to play as much as you can in less than 2hrs or not get a refund from steam, thats a problem because bandwidth is expensive to sacrifice for just a < 2 hr demo. Piracy=demo, usually some features like online don't work. Full price you get it all, pretty simple. Morality means nothing here, if you download a game you were never gonna buy to begin with, it hurts nobody. Plus theres always a chance u may actually buy the game because you liked it enough and want full online support with it as well.

You do realise it is a VR title and you need a VR headset? If you do then apologies - if it doesn't work for 80% of users on your russian forum, then try changing the systems locale from RU to EU/US.
Well I don't know about you but I'm on oculus. If you're on vive steam vr might be the problem. Try updating to a beta,going back to the previous version or just not launching it (Steam vr doesn't seem to launch when the game is launched like other games so it might not even be neccesary. Also if you didn't launch steam vr when you tried it before then launch it. If you are on oculus try 2 things : Add the game folder to your anti virus exceptions and don't run steam vr before launching the game.
With me im on vive steam vr launches but thats it white screen no response. when i completley plug my vive headeset from the pc the gameds starts running and its on infinite loading screen... so i guess vive users have this problem cuz i saw on other forums that oculus can play

Very laggy basicly unplayable i have the pc to handle the job and on oculus quest 1 there is no way to fix "press triggers to recalibrate height" as i do EXACTLY that but it just stays there its annoying and buggy. the game itself? screen taring and bugging, (LOWEST QUALITY) tried to load a mod... even worse... igg your getting lazy

The Outer Rim explicitly has stuff in it to make it not work. I mean, if anyone got it to work then tell us because I certainly can't figure it out.
one has the word "unpacked" in it, thats the real one, remove the unpacked from the file and launch it

When I arrive in the character creation menu, I cannot click on anything,

as many people have mentioned though, this version has serious performance issues. i was able to make it run a bit better by disabling MSAA and turning down the shadow distance, but it will still have a little bit of stuttering. unless you really want to play U8, i highly suggest sticking with U7

"do you still have access to the beta version? if so go to Blade.and.Sorcery.Upate.7.Beta\Blade.and.Sorcery\BladeAndSorcery_Data\Managed and copy SteamVR.dll and SteamVR_Actions.dll then paste and replace in newer. It got me past character selection. I haven't actually played through anything to see if working correctly everywhere else. hope this helps."

If you downloaded the game and are asked for a password, that means you downloaded a fake file from an advertisement.
NEVER DOWNLOAD .EXE FILES!!!
If you downloaded a .exe file, then DELETE IT! It's 100% a virus.
Only download .zip files, which then contain the game and crack files.
Always make sure the file you downloaded is the same size as it says on the game's Steam page and NEVER click on any ads when downloading.
Only download from Google Drive, MegaUp, http://Mega.nz.
When downloading from Google Drive - There shouldn't be any ads, but just to be sure, check the file size
When downloading from MegaUp - A lot of times the wrong file is downloaded, so make sure the file size is the same as on the Steam page

There was probably a problem during the cracking or uploading process.
As of right now, the game does not work because the game hangs on loading.
There is no fix that works (That we know of, anyway) as of right now.
I recommend waiting for the newest update (6.1) to be uploaded here, which will hopefully fix the loading issue.
Thankfully a new update just came out (6.1), which might have fixed the issue.
It's the "Update 6.1" and fixes a few things, possibly even the loading issue.
I already requested it in the Game Request section, so let's hope they update it soon!

Good for you if you are doing well enough financially & your money was easy enough to come by & your cost of living is cheap enough that you want to donate to the developers new quality of life in the hopes he will someday release something worth playing but i need that money for food & rent & don't think anything worthwhile is actually going to come of this game.
If developing for VR games is so hard & takes 3 times longer to develop how long will it take a single man (who is probably a hobby level coder) to bring the game from early access to a releasable title? I personally think given what we've seen from small (but immeansly larger) dev teams COUGH COUGH BANNERLORD COUGH that this game will remain early access forever & never get past arena style combat & once the dev has finished milking it/released how unrealistic a one man dev team is he will start working on another game based of same engine but actually start work on story ect & be selling that early access to fund development also.

In the past days hes already pumped out 3 incredible updates and if youre still not sure if hes active then join his discord. Theres a huge community already active on there standing behind him.
If you dont want to give EA money, fair enough, but this man has quit his actual job to actively create this amazing game alone.
From what I've seen of others playing this game, it looks great, so now ill see for my self if it's worth 20 dollars or not. Yes it's important to support developers of VR games right now because the tech is in its early stages right now, but its also ripe for abuse as well with half assed tech demos.
piracy or whatever you call it, is basically the demos we once had one the 1980s-1990s to early 2000s. If these pigs at least had a demo of a game you could download for few hundred megabytes, these games would sell better.
But if you gotta downloaded a freaking 10-100gb game and rush your ass off to play as much as you can in less than 2hrs or not get a refund from steam, thats a problem because bandwidth is expensive to sacrifice for just a < 2 hr demo.
Piracy=demo, usually some features like online don't work.
Full price you get it all, pretty simple.
Morality means nothing here, if you download a game you were never gonna buy to begin with, it hurts nobody. Plus theres always a chance u may actually buy the game because you liked it enough and want full online support with it as well.
The first game i bought after playing the demo was Clive Barker's Jerico.

when i completley plug my vive headeset from the pc the gameds starts running and its on infinite loading screen... so i guess vive users have this problem cuz i saw on other forums that oculus can play
