This is the only crack I've had trouble with. I've installed the game, applied both updates, then the crack, and tried to run the game. But it still opens in steam. I've tried reinstalling, using the PLAZA folders/not using them. I can't seem to get it to work. ;-;

The game will crash during bar scene, where Kiryu met Nishiki. IT's very beginning. Plus this game don't have autosaves. I have to redo alll tutorials again and to see yet another crash.
This is why I hate IGG provide update but has no instruction. We had to just yolo it. Like there 2 versions, do we need both or just get the latest? Do we just run the exe or we need to copy the extra files aswell? I understand IGG members are busy and can't holding hands for alllll people but you guys can at least provide notes. It's so frustrating.

Reinstall the game. Pain in the ass but it is necessary.
Install the update BY USING THE UPDATE EXE. DON'T COPY THE PLAZA FILES. For some reason even though you can play V3.2 with plaza file pasted to the game file, IT WILL CAUSED SO MUC PROBLEM. Like Lag or crashes. I have no explanation "why", but for this is the cause.
NOTE: You can install V3.2 first then V4. REMEMBER USE THE EXE, NO NEED TO COPY THE PLAZA FILE!
After you done COPY the CRACK FILE to the game directory. I am not talking PLAZA, I am talking about the crack file you need to download. Download that crack and paste to game exe file. You should be able to play now.

Now this is kind a fix I guess. If you have good specs but you face extreme lag and stuttering, CHECK you Nvidia control panel. Check if the game run your GPU instead your CPU. Also you can change the PHSYx in the Nvidia panel, change it to GPU. Normally it was default "let the system choose". Finally lower the FXAA and disable SSAO
I did this, I able to fixed the crash for v4, and crash when Kiryu meet Nisiki for first time and drink at bar. (it is also first time you will play the music minigame) DAME DAMEEEE DAMEYOOO I hope this will help you
This is what I hate about stupid people: when they can't read, even if there are instructions, and blame others for their own stupidity! The world is not just overcrowded, we could still deal with that, but we can't deal being overcrowded with arse stupid people. Inside the goddamn update folders you just download open the fekking *.nfo and READ the instructions how to install the update. Nothing else that you need to know. Can't be that hard. Can it? Yes, it can. Some are even too stupid to piss a hole in the snow.
Dear asshole, If you read below you saw I did found the solution . I found out for some reason you can't use normal method, install then copy files from plaza inside the Update files for V4. Meanwhile you can do normal method for V3.2 TO USE update V4 you installed the files BUT don't copy the "PLAZA' file that came with the update, download crack only and use that file. I followed the instruction. But it just works for V3.2 not V4. Sure I can go for V3.2 but I might missed or there's huge changes for V4.

Hello everyone. I am new to disqus. So, please help me and hear me out. I've downloaded, cracked, and launched the game and everything worked fine. I saved my game via phonebooth but it didn't ask me any slot to save so everytime I save, it overwrites my previous saved game. And then, I decided to take a rest so I save then quit the game. Then launched it again. But to my horror, it does not show a CONTINUE or LOAD option. My heart sank. Why did this happen? :((((( I looked on the folder and i saw a CPY SAVE. But I can't access that save game when launching the game. Can anyone please help me? I already searched Yt for tutorial and I saw one. I followed it but it doesn't work for me. Huhuhu.

The game itself requires you to update the game manually by a codex so for this version you would need to get the update and codex file for Version 4 of Yakuza 0

I don't think anyone can translate the Japanese version now, because this ISO that I can't see any langerage data of japanese into the folder of "yakuza 0" like [ui_j] [auth_w64_j] [map_par_j] [pausepar_j]...

Did you manually copy the files from the crack and updates 3.2 and 4.0? Because I had the same problem despite having selected the files to be copied to the install directory in the setup and it was fixed for me by first dragging the files from the crack and then dragging the files from 3.2 (under Plaza>media) and replacing the files in the media folder of the game directory and then doing the exact same for update 4.0. If it doesn't work then I'm sorry, I'll be unable to help you
I do the crack, the game works. But if I drag the 3.2 and do the update, steam launch. Even if I reput the crack into the media folder. I can't figure how to update the game.

it means you need to crack it. there should be a file besides the installer that is the crack. just drag it to the game install directory and done you can play the game
Note for us Dual Shock 4 controller users. If you're experiencing issues using your DS4 controller, you need to use Steam's controller support or it won't work correctly. Close any other controller apps like DS4Windows. Open steam You need to add the game to your steam as a non steam game. And then you need to switch steam into big mode, go into your controller settings, and enable ps4 controller configuration, calibrate your controller and then you can exit big mode if you wish and launch the game through your steam. Did you download an exe file? When opening the exe, did you get a rar file, or am I missing something? If the above is true, you downloaded an ad, make sure you get the correct file.
For some reason I can't get 3.2 to work, it comes up with this message once I try to open the game after installing the update and crack for the update. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000009a). click OK to close the application I don't suppose anyone can help me with this problem?
This game is especially inconvenient to play. Going into any building incurs a loading screen that lasts longer than it should. After every fight, you have to wait a short while (for some unknown reason) before you can do anything. Skipping cutscenes is a hassle. Talking to NPC's is a hassle. Moving around the map is a hassle. Avoiding the countless random encounters with "bad guys" as you move around the map is a hassle. Overall, this game is a chore. Wouldn't recommend it, sorry to say.
Ever heard of Denuvo? Skipping cuts' aren't a hassle you legit just need to press "ESC" and "E" then select yes. You can hold down E+Spacebar to breeze through the NPC dialogue, there are multiple taxi outlets around town to avoid fighting(additionally there is a perk where you throw money into the air and the goons surround it as well as nearby peds) plus wasting time. The only thing i label a "chore" is saving by the payphones. Which they later improved with auto save in Kiwami. You're just lazy dude.
So, nothing to counter my loading screen complaint? Shops could've been implemented as street vendors, which would bypass the need for making a building interior with a loading screen. As for holding E and Spacebar, that wasn't anything the game taught the player to do, from what I recall. Skipping cutscenes is a hassle because it isn't as simple as a single button press. You have to perform multiple steps, which is annoying over the course of an entire game. It's a considerable lack of consideration for ease of use. It's like they didn't even care whether the mechanics were convenient or frustrating. If anyone is lazy, it's obviously the developers. Face it . . . This game is very lazily designed. The cutscenes alone should make that clear.
Denuvo! to counter the loading screen, the street vending part was added in Kiwami not that it really needed that. The game would more seem like New York rather than Japan for having a lot of street vending and in most games interiors are made for to express the beauty in their gaming design, E+Spacebar wasn't shown in 0 but it was in Kiwami (however if you go to TIPS in the menu thingy you would find it) Tbh the skipping cuts' aren't really bad (the story is pretty good so i don't recommend skipping the cuts if you haven't seen them, it's what gives the game the essence of life.) i mean each cut has like 3-9 minutes of time so you just need to cut 2 scenes in order to get the the main plot. You're just over thinking it. This game wasn't lazily designed, i mean have you seem how much sub stories they have? not the mention long running minigames, what about the animations or the game they're clean. The ONLY problem with the game is Denuvo. Which they later took out in Kiwami. Perhaps I am simply overthinking it as you say. Though, you cannot deny that the game lacks convenient usability. I liked the story (up to the point where I stopped playing). I liked the dialog. The atmosphere was great. However, the inconveniences I faced when playing were too much for me, thus I stopped playing. So after I install the game and I try opening it, it says that d3dcomplier_43.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll are missing. I already tried reinstalling all the files and trying again but i'm still having the same issue. Does anyone know what the problem is?

If you have the iso, you have the crack folder. Antivirus can't delete things from virtual drives, so that couldn't have ever been the problem. Please post a screenshot of the contents of the mounted .iso.

If your game is carshing on Heavy Attack, remove the "." from folder name of "Yakuza.0", it should be "Yakuza 0", remove all "."s from and folders that include the "Yakuza 0", and that's it. took me a while to find this out, that goddamn simple "." nearly stopped me from playing this game!

if u have a dedicated graphics, go to the graphics card control panel and check which gpu is the game using. I was lagging as well so I check and it was running on my integrated gpu.

For me it was the save location, I had to change it to; SavePath=Y:\Spel\1 Saves (I use '1 ' so it's sorted at the top, within the games folder) File location: Yakuza 0 -> media -> CPY.ini If thats not enough go to %AppData%\Sega and Delete the Folder; Yakuza0 Might wanna change the ID, for good Measure. in my case some items got mixed up like for example i got a few car pieces in my accesory and items list and when i tried to store it it multiplied rather than moving it, so i had no choice but to load a save before i did that (i think maybe because of picking the dlcs with little space left in inventory was the cause since after that i only took 1-2 dlcs and it was alright)
That's very weird, especially the part about cart parts on the accessory slots since cart parts, and in Majima's case, crafting resources, have their own separate inventory slots
My game it's always crashing in the second minute of the first cutscene. (the sound goes in about 20 seconds long with the image frozen and then it closes) Info: I installed the game with the windows defender disabled and created a exception on the folder where the game is. I already fix the save problem in the CPY.ini and created the "save" folder in the media folder. (Do I need to give permissions to all users for that folder? I can't find how to do that ... So I tried everything i could find on the internet and nothing fixed the save issue. The thing is that the game does actually save but it is never able to load the game. There is a save file and system files in the save folder and there is a "save complete" prompt in the bottom right when i save in the phone booth. Fixed the "save" crap. if your ex: "C:\Games\Yakuza 0\media\save" isnt in your folder, just make a new folder for each then copy path, paste it in the cpy.ini file like "SavePath=C:\Games\Yakuza 0\media\save" and you should be good, I was about to uninstall this asap ferg but it fuking worked!! lol

in the first fighting scene the game prompts us to use the RMB to land a heavy hit but whenever i press it the game crashes and i cant get past that part of the game without pressing the RMB thrice. anyone has a solution?
The game works fine, no issues whatsoever. Great upload from IGG, technical wise. HOWEVER...Holy mother of god, this game is BORING. For awhile in the beginning, I had to check and see if I had mistakenly started playing some visual novel instead of an actual game. The nicest things I can say about this game is that it made me totally appreciate and want to replay Sleeping Dogs, and this made the beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2 look like a thrill a minute roller coaster. Definitely a niche title, and that niche ain't for me.
Stick with it, it gets better. That is unless you don't enjoy a story with heavy base in politics and the inner workings of the Yakuza. In which case, bail out now
the start is slow, but if you play it more it clicks. The different fighting styles, good story, good characters, side stories that give you cp points and money to improve your characters fighting skills. And this game is better than Red Dead Rdemeption, that game is a movie literally, and the gameplay of that game is awfully generic.

totally worth it, Bro. The key is stopping every other background apps and prioritize this process. And while we're at it what is your gpu? if you have at least gtx 750ti (or gtx 960m, its mobile equivalent) you should be fine playing with 1280x720 resolution toning all settings to the left.

i suggest you check the game setting inside roaming folder (your hard drive partition where windows was installed):\users(your administrator profile)\AppData\Roaming\Sega\Yakuza0 Look for graphics.ini Make backup first. Open it with notepad or your writing editor of choiceNow, look for “ResolutionX”. When you will find it you will notice that ResolutionX and Y both are set to 0. Just change them to the following. ResolutionX=1600 ResolutionY=900 Windowed=1 WindowSizeX=1600 WindowSizeY=900 DisplayAdapter=1 If your native monitor resolution is less than 900p then change to that resolution instead. You should change to 900p even when your native resolution is 1080p, you can change it back inside the game setting. Last, you look for a line with CRC in it and delete that line and everything else below it. Some sources say these lines can cause crash issue too. Hope this helps.
First of all thank you for your suggestions, however after following everything you pointed out, I still can't launch this game. From the Steam message boards I can see people have had this problem from mid August until now! SEGA wants people to send an email to them, and include the graphics.ini and DxDiag.txt files, so I did just that. Let's see how they're gonna respond...
Literally the worse day ever. First, i didn't know that there's no auto-save and need to go to phone booth to save, wasting a good few hours. Second, I finally saved the game, but the save system keeps saying "Create a new file" instead of something like overwrite the current save or save to a new slot. Like an idiot i am, I trusted the game and kept saving and when i finally quit to the title, there was no continue. Another damn wasted hours. So finally i went back here and read the comments, and one actually solves this shit. It was the CPY.ini file, it's save location has %default_CPY_location% something like that and you have to edit that yourself. Now i tried again this time* (oh god) and now the saving works af. Tomorrow will be my third attempt. jesus.
The crack only is already uploaded as you can see at the point 3. above. But somehow i still can't get the game to launch. I already pasted the contents inside the crack folder, they consist of two steam dlls and one cpy.ini file. When i try to launch the game, nothing happens. Even run as administrator also didn't help. Rule of the thumb is not to download "Full Unlocked" games because by the time they're cracked, the crack might be for an updated version - which might require you to download it again.

Except you still do. The Denuvo code is STILL in the game, it's still trying to connect, it's just being fooled into thinking the connection is successful. Meaning that it STILL hinders performance

Which one? Looking for new one. CSGO veteran, heck I am a cs veteran, but I really laughed with all of them. The went to f2P and just two months ago they banned over 500k accounts for hacking. Btw Prime hacks or stream hacks start from 4 $ so .... plus most of private hacks have better matchmaking than prime. Some have even server region choise. Dont have anything with Cuka Bliet players but i prefer to understand what they are sayng...when playing... And now there is an inventory editor so you dont need to open boxes to get some niccce looking stuff. Eitherway playing csgo nowdays feels like going back to kindergarden...

Have you tried Akiba's Trip? The exploration is more like that, just no stripping, actually has compelling story, tons of backstabbing and the like. Also battle controls way better.
You need to install game on SSD to make it load faster. But remember only loading time will be a bit quicker, not a significant difference if your HDD is 7200 rpm or better.
No need to remove hard disk. You can keep as many HDDs and SSDs as your motherboard supports. But install the OS on SSD. I have 256 GB SSD which has Windows 10 and 2TB HDD which has games and data.

- I can't play the game with v4, Yakuza O just crash at startup??? Except I copy files from V3.2 and paste in the game directory files it works.
- The game will crash during bar scene, where Kiryu met Nishiki. IT's very beginning. Plus this game don't have autosaves. I have to redo alll tutorials again and to see yet another crash.

Crash at Startup when using V4
- Reinstall the game. Pain in the ass but it is necessary.
- Install the update BY USING THE UPDATE EXE. DON'T COPY THE PLAZA FILES. For some reason even though you can play V3.2 with plaza file pasted to the game file, IT WILL CAUSED SO MUC PROBLEM. Like Lag or crashes. I have no explanation "why", but for this is the cause.
NOTE: You can install V3.2 first then V4. REMEMBER USE THE EXE, NO NEED TO COPY THE PLAZA FILE!After you done COPY the CRACK FILE to the game directory. I am not talking PLAZA, I am talking about the crack file you need to download. Download that crack and paste to game exe file.
You should be able to play now.

Now this is kind a fix I guess. If you have good specs but you face extreme lag and stuttering, CHECK you Nvidia control panel. Check if the game run your GPU instead your CPU.
Also you can change the PHSYx in the Nvidia panel, change it to GPU. Normally it was default "let the system choose".
Finally lower the FXAA and disable SSAO
I did this, I able to fixed the crash for v4, and crash when Kiryu meet Nisiki for first time and drink at bar. (it is also first time you will play the music minigame)

If you read below you saw I did found the solution .
I found out for some reason you can't use normal method, install then copy files from plaza inside the Update files for V4.
Meanwhile you can do normal method for V3.2
TO USE update V4 you installed the files BUT don't copy the "PLAZA' file that came with the update, download crack only and use that file.
I followed the instruction. But it just works for V3.2 not V4. Sure I can go for V3.2 but I might missed or there's huge changes for V4.

You have to open CPY.ini (inside the "media" subfolder of the install dir) and edit the line "SavePath="
Change "%DEFAULT_CPY_DIR%" to a folder that doesn't need administrator rights to write to. Keep in mind you need the full path to that folder (for example: C:\Saves\Yakuza0)
The documents folder could work. You can also tinker with the security settings of a folder and assign full control to the user you are logged in as (although I don't recommend this if you don't know what you are doing)

Open steam
You need to add the game to your steam as a non steam game. And then you need to switch steam into big mode, go into your controller settings, and enable ps4 controller configuration, calibrate your controller and then you can exit big mode if you wish and launch the game through your steam.

find this out, that goddamn simple "." nearly stopped me from playing

I Also changed the save location in cpy.ini to:

Try to set the process to high affinity in task manager too

I already fix the save problem in the CPY.ini and created the "save" folder in the media folder. (Do I need to give permissions to all users for that folder? I can't find how to do that ... I already have CPY_SAVES"My name""number"\system.sys so I assume that it's all right for this step)

HOWEVER...Holy mother of god, this game is BORING. For awhile in the beginning, I had to check and see if I had mistakenly started playing some visual novel instead of an actual game. The nicest things I can say about this game is that it made me totally appreciate and want to replay Sleeping Dogs, and this made the beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2 look like a thrill a minute roller coaster. Definitely a niche title, and that niche ain't for me.
The different fighting styles, good story, good characters, side stories that give you cp points and money to improve your characters fighting skills.
And this game is better than Red Dead Rdemeption, that game is a movie literally, and the gameplay of that game is awfully generic.

WindowSizeY=900
DisplayAdapter=1
If your native monitor resolution is less than 900p then change to that resolution instead. You should change to 900p even when your native resolution is 1080p, you can change it back inside the game setting.
Last, you look for a line with CRC in it and delete that line and everything else below it. Some sources say these lines can cause crash issue too.
