it crashes after a few minutes and when i try to install mods it says theres missing dll files and even downloading the missing files still results in the 0xc0000142 error
The game is terrible. It is basically JC 3 in a nutshell with just a different story and different supporting characters. Plus they took out a majority of the destruction in cities.
I heard the game has had a major graphics overhaul with its update. Hopefully, either CPY or CODEX (or any other team for that matter) crack the latest version of the game.

BEEN USING A RYZEN 5 2400G CPU with a gtx 750ti FTW oc to 4016 core and 3200mem for a while on metro exodus farcry5 assassins creed origins as well as many other games including this one most within 40fps on some high settings with med an low switchs on shadows an antistrop with no NOT ONE ISSUE so maybe those of you using those 1000 gpus should stop using the raytrace feature for now untiil its been out for at least a year or so.... i mean lower end cards dont seem to crash like the higher end ones do nor do they have the micro stutters that metro does...think about that....
RTX 2060 here, got it for the price of a 1060 6gb.. its literly the speed of a 1070.. so you do you, i saved money and have a very powerfull pc (i5 8600k) can run this game on 1080P on maxed with around 70-80 ish fps

The devs of the game release the patch. When the patch comes out it will require a proper crack for it to work for us, So even if a the devs release a patch to fix crashes and bugs, you still can't use it till it gets cracked. Might take a while might take a few hours only.. Edit: Although i've been playing the game for a while now, And i hanvent had a single crash, I'm more concerned about other stuff such as the so flat water and a few other bugs.

I was planning on waiting for the patch fix, Because i've heard the game was impossible to play, That it crashes alot and the graphics really sucks. But in the end i wanted to check and see for myself. After 5 straight hours of playing, I havent expienced a single crash. Although i did notice some annoying bugs, The game is still enjoyable and pretty fun. The devs ruined a few things, Like the gas station, And most bridges can't be destroyed anymore, Only a few( God this is prolly the worst!) And the water... Now that was a big step backwards. Remeber to update your drivers, It's very important! My specs: gtx 980ti i7-4790k 16GB ram Also i have my game installed on F drive, And its working smoothly, So that rumor about the game not crashing when installed on the C drive is just a rumor..

Google drive doesn't work. Use http://MegaUP.net sadly Mega can only download 5,5gb in 5 hours (you dl 5,5 gb and have to wait till 5h timer ends, premium and shit like that) Google Drive can not dl 5 gb. But mostly you can dl the last part of games with google drive. Use other sites for downloads (I recomend http://MegaUP.net or torrents but that doesn't work for me :/ )

I don't know what kind of pc u have guys, but i had to do nothing, except delete the savepath line in CPY.ini file(otherwise it won't save).No need turn of anything,no need set any compatibility,no need set nvidia settings.No crash happened

well just cause 4 IS really buggy and not omtimized. it can strain your GPU no matter how strong it is. i'm fine with my geforce GTX 1060 but running a cheat trainer with it can sometimes crash the entire thing.

Other people(some of us) reading all the info here before asking,if u scroll down,you can find the answer.The problem is not the "run admin" shit. Find the CPY.ini file in the game folder, and delete the savepath line, and the save will work.
I do like the style of JC 3 more than JC 4. JC 4 is a throwback to JC 2 and this version runs like an even bigger crap than JC 3! The game isnt bad, the graphics aren't bad, but they went back to the wrong style and the only real bad thing about the game is the FPS

lol vpns are encrypted so...they may see what ip address your visiting if you have a dns leak or something but still no proof your actually doing anything illegal here. use a seedbox, sftp to download files from seedbox and your gold. don't even need vpn though you could use all three together just to be safe.
Most VPNs actually have rules against using them to torrent so be careful otherwise the VPN will just ban you. You'd be better off either using direct download or if you really really want to torrent invest in renting a seedbox.

i'm playing just fine, nothing really bugging, except... something with the graphics is off... some far away mountains in my view look like they were put in from some 80s game. and far away small explosions like shooting a barrel from far away are invisible. is this a problem with the actual game or is it something to do with the CPY crack? can i change something in the graphics menu to fix it?
It's not the fault of the CPY crack, only avalanche. i have gold version on steam. do not download these games, you lose time and nerves when you launch the game, and see lots of bugs. :( This game is one big disaster.
its because there are too many people downloading the file from google drive, use some other link. but i recommend just downloading the torrent, downloading 12 parts is just a hassle
you forgot the crack, theres a crack folder in the downloaded files, after you finished installing just cause 4, copy the files in the crack folder and paste them in the JC4 directory, just delete the original steam api first.
Found a fix for the crash. Raise virtualmemory of windows to min 10000 and max 12000. Thank me later ;) edit: Game crash after some hours, better than crashing every 5 min. Sorry for the excitement ;)
You are right, but i can now play for some hours before crash.. i was so excited that i found a fix... i posted here after one hour crashfree gameplay... yes sometimes it will crash but before this fix game was crashing every 5-10 min.
Downloading is near impossible or will take an eternity, speed is terrible with all sites except mega. But mega just gives you a fixed amount of data (barely 1 part) which resets every 5 hours.
In the URL replace "UC" with "OPEN" and add the file to your google drive and download, works 99% of the time. They aren't broken but too many people use them when a new game comes out.
why is the band width so bad on the other servers. we need google drive to download the files because the other links take to long to download from (like an hour or longer; were G.D takes 10min).
No it's not the PC if you can't save you need to go the place you installed the game then find CPY ini right click on it and edit it you have to delete save path%default_CPY_DIR% and then always run the game in admin that's how you solve the problem of not saving if you don't believe me search it on youtube.
I downloaded and installed the game and hated every minute of the 30 that I played. The menus didn't work properly and the graphics were absolutely garbage(which is a shock considering the titles we've seen this year like Far Cry and Tomb Raider that had amazing graphics). The keybinds were the most awful I have ever seen in and the only good thing about it was the grappling hook and poorly keybound parachute and then at the end of the first mission they take away your grappling hook. This game is a massive letdown. I'm aware that it is a port from the console version but it was very very poorly done.
ok folks, this is how i solved the random nvwgf2umx.dll crash to desktop. Find the Nvidia "telemetry container" process. If you have recently installed nvidia drivers, it's likely to have been silently put up. Rename the .exe file to a string of your choice. kill the process from the list of running exes in your system. (I use the neat application "Proces Explorer" to perform this kind of little jobs). The telemetry service will now not be able to restart as you changed its name, and you are now safe from this particular piece of shady stuff nvidia is doing to our puters.
Make sure you have your video drivers up to date and you have the game launching as administrator. I was having the same issue before updating to Radeon Adrenalin 18.12.1.

Runs butter smooth. Didn't had any crashes nor bad looking graphics. 15+ hours played now. Crack took me 2 hours to install and half an hour to download. Changed my username and started it up. Don't know why there are that many bad reviews just because of a bug. Just wait. Hope CPY will fix the graphics issue for others but I don't have any problems running the game. Love to IGG and CPY. Well, I think it's not the crack's problem you're crashing, Just Cause games have a VERY bad reputation in terms of optimization. A i-9/rtx 2080 pc can run worse than a potato sometimes, just have to flip the coin and hope your pc is the lucky one. I easily run it at low-medium settings with core i-3 integrated graphics, but if I enable my gpu(amd rx 580) it crashes every five minutes. The game is unstable and based on steam reviews not worth even cracking, I had about 15 hrs of fun before I got bored and it became repetitive, also it's full of bugs- I recommend to wait not for a better crack, but for the game to get better and fix itself.

Yes it craches if installed in old HD. After I moved it to a pcie disk all went smoothly. Also check some settings of your video card from windows and lower antialliasing. @@sebastianral:disqus just an advise... be more polite to others. Dont accuse them without evidence. I get to where it says I'm in offline mode and the flashing icon at the bottom about clicking Left Mouse and when I do... boom... crashes with no errors.
It's a group of hackers that crack games for people. They're one of the largest international groups out out there, and have been in the scene for like 2 decades. Like Team Red and stuff.
The exact text the error message gives me is "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default apps settings page" First time it has ever given me this error :/
Well, the file-type association should be easy to recover. Just right-click on the ISO, go down to "Open with" and click it. There will be no application selected for it, just select "Explorer" or "Windows Explorer" and it should work again.

Redownload part 7. It likely became corrupted upon download. There really is no other fix to something like this without a .sfv file to try and recover the data from.
No... that doesn't even make sense... The part itself is corrupted, not the game. Redownloading part 7 will download the file again and hopefully it will not be corrutped again.

Not really. For every one good indie game we get 99 piles of crap from kids who want to be developers despite not being able to code their way out of a wet paper bag or asshats who are just trying to milk quick cash from the horrible early access set-up. To make it worse most of the actual well done indie games die in beta before ever actually being finished or living up to their potential.
That's not even remotely true. The overwhelming majority of indie titles fail horribly and should have been aborted before they ever left the drawing board. Only every now and again do we get a piece of gold with either AAA or indies. The main difference ends up mostly being nothing but production value and sales price. DO you want a 60 dollar piece of AAA crap or a half finished $20 piece of Indie crap? lol Just take one look at this site for example. There is maybe one AAA game for every 5+ pages of indie titles and out of ALL of them 99% are crap. Hell like 80%+ of STEAM's library is now broken, garbage indie titles.
I think it's more because the game is Just Cause 3 with some more gadgets with some tornadoes thrown in, and doesn't add much besides a new map. I found JC3 kinda boring after a couple of hours, but that's just my opinion.
That's every Just Cause game tho. They are always the last game with a fresh coat of paint and a few more goodies. People should really have expected it.

Many complaints of crashing all the time on steam reviews, bad UI (why not just update the one from JC3?!), and many game-play downgrades such as no C4 or grenades, the stuff you blow up re-spawns almost immediately, mouse sensitivity all over the place, and many other stuff. People shouldn't expect anything but a good game(at least) for 60 bucks.
And yet I've had almost no problems. I've had no crashes, no glitches, my mouse sensitivity is perfectly fine with no adjustments needed performance is great (tho I do have a high end rig), and nothing re-spawns in within render distance. Claiming it looks worse than JC2 is just stupid hyperbole. The AA sucks for some reason so I turned it off but other than that it looks fine and also loads a hell of a lot faster. They certainly did change shit. Some, IMO, for the worse (no grenades) some for the better (gun-play is tight and 100 times better than JC2 or 3). The UI and a lot of the new mechanics aren't bad they are just different than the last game. Which is normal as they have changed mechanics like that in literally every Just Cause game. The silliest part of the whole thing is a ton of people are calling it a JC3 DLC with nothing really new while then going on to complain about the plentiful changes to things including even basic mechanics. They aren't even consistent with their complaints. It also hilarious how many people on STEAM and REDDIT are now praising JC3 and treating it as if it was the gold standard this game should emulate (while still complaining this is just a DLC of it lol) but when it released JC3 was hated on for months every bit as bad as this installment is getting. People are perfectly free to not like the changes but most of them are just whining like kids over it and throwing a fit because they stupidly bought the game blindly instead of actually waiting or doing the legwork to make an informed purchase decision. Heaven forbid that tho. They have to pre-order shit months before so they can have it day-one then throw a tantrum over it not being what they dreamed it would be. I am not planning to play this game anytime soon, Poor SE finally got a hit to their greed, there most sought out title currently getting cracked within a day of release. They should have priced better, SE removed regional pricing so currently SE even tops Activision at overpricing games. I bought JC3 deluxe version before release when there was regional pricing and way before I had a better system, with the current pricing they lost me. Even if I want to I can't buy this one anytime soon as the price is so unfair.

No it hasn't. It's been shown time and time again that there is no way to prove if DRM affects sales or not because you have no control group. There is no way to tell if a game would have noticeable sold more or less if it didn't have DRM. Anyone who says different is just making assumptions.

i've played it and yes it is fun (don't know how long ,the fun, will last) But simply Bethesda is in an eternall wrong with that game Sold as a Triple AAA and then telling lies to players too .. they don't even know their own game since the Story is a mess (this should be a prologue to Fallout 4) but many things are Forced and can't be linked to fallout 4...there is much to says... and this isn't the right place to talk about that :d jus to make it clear the "story" is one of the problems that i don't care. the true things/problems about the game are others (not talking about Bugs since i don't care about bugs when i can still play the game without problems)

Edit: Although i've been playing the game for a while now, And i hanvent had a single crash, I'm more concerned about other stuff such as the so flat water and a few other bugs.

sadly Mega can only download 5,5gb in 5 hours (you dl 5,5 gb and have to wait till 5h timer ends, premium and shit like that)
Google Drive can not dl 5 gb. But mostly you can dl the last part of games with google drive. Use other sites for downloads (I recomend http://MegaUP.net or torrents but that doesn't work for me :/ )
NOTE: Add installed game folder to Exclusion in both your antivirus and Firewall. You can also Turn off Anti-virus, Firewall and your Internet to avoid crashing. Also try to close as more programs/applications as possible.
Save Fix : Edit CPY.ini in your game folder
delete line "SavePath=%DEFAULT_CPY_DIR%"
you can change your player name if you want to.
Crash Fix : Use Nvidia Control Panel - Manage 3D settings
Select justcause4.exe - Change Power management mode to Adaptive. Apply and Close.
Running Game : Open Game Exe through shortcut or from installed folder. I use borderless settings instead of Fullscreen. I always keep a folder open in background to easy switch.
As soon as you start the game Open Task Manager
Right click on "Just Cause 4" from Task Manager and select goto details. Now here change PRIORITY settings to High or above normal.
Go back to Game and enjoy.
Then I click ok and the message disappears, and the game does not start.

JC 4 is a throwback to JC 2 and this version runs like an even bigger crap than JC 3!
The game isnt bad, the graphics aren't bad, but they went back to the wrong style and the only real bad thing about the game is the FPS

Find the Nvidia "telemetry container" process.
If you have recently installed nvidia drivers, it's likely to have been silently put up.
Rename the .exe file to a string of your choice.
kill the process from the list of running exes in your system. (I use the neat application "Proces Explorer" to perform this kind of little jobs).
The telemetry service will now not be able to restart as you changed its name, and you are now safe from this particular piece of shady stuff nvidia is doing to our puters.
it comes integrally with the driver, even if you don't install gf xperience. the only way to disable it is as i describe above.

my sensitivity is 100 but fell still slow.
i had to change the DPI of the mouse (fortunately i have the DPI button on the mouse.)
and it has its fair share of bugs but what game dosent
after I play a few minutesthe game chrashes with no error and after that my pc isn't working right I can't shutdown like normally or I Tasks I open like Spotify or Google are not showing right like its a graphic card bug

Just take one look at this site for example. There is maybe one AAA game for every 5+ pages of indie titles and out of ALL of them 99% are crap. Hell like 80%+ of STEAM's library is now broken, garbage indie titles.

They certainly did change shit. Some, IMO, for the worse (no grenades) some for the better (gun-play is tight and 100 times better than JC2 or 3). The UI and a lot of the new mechanics aren't bad they are just different than the last game. Which is normal as they have changed mechanics like that in literally every Just Cause game. The silliest part of the whole thing is a ton of people are calling it a JC3 DLC with nothing really new while then going on to complain about the plentiful changes to things including even basic mechanics. They aren't even consistent with their complaints. It also hilarious how many people on STEAM and REDDIT are now praising JC3 and treating it as if it was the gold standard this game should emulate (while still complaining this is just a DLC of it lol) but when it released JC3 was hated on for months every bit as bad as this installment is getting.
People are perfectly free to not like the changes but most of them are just whining like kids over it and throwing a fit because they stupidly bought the game blindly instead of actually waiting or doing the legwork to make an informed purchase decision. Heaven forbid that tho. They have to pre-order shit months before so they can have it day-one then throw a tantrum over it not being what they dreamed it would be.
What people should expect and all they deserve for 60 bucks is a working game. Whether or not they find it "good" is a matter of personal opinion.

They should have priced better, SE removed regional pricing so currently SE even tops Activision at overpricing games.
I bought JC3 deluxe version before release when there was regional pricing and way before I had a better system, with the current pricing they lost me.
