The recent ones are saying that it has potential, if a little buggy still. Also, Update 3 seems to have fixed some of the issues most players have been getting (CTDs, errors, bugs, etc).
I was shocked (this time negativly),how legend of game maker(system shock or Crusader:No Remorse for example, great games in the past) let this pile of $%&/ release,unbelievable....but true .Very disappointing.Netherless i think this game, after several updates, will become a good one(but i am also soooo impatient, heheheh)
I don't think patching will help as the game is horribly flawed. As a fan of Ultima Underworld I have to say, that this has nothing in common with the old games besides the name and the name of the dungeon. Hell, this isn't even a dungeon but a collection of disjointed levels that you have to do over and over again and where everything respawns with each new mission. The missions are boring and uninspired (randomized?) and you don't even get them from NPCs but the bulletin board. Where are the NPCs inside the dungeon you can talk to and trade with? Like the Outcasts, the Gray and Green Goblins or the Dwarves all of them actually living IN the dungeon itself. Here we got a central hub with lizardmen that look like they are wearing market fair costumes instead of being actual lizardmen. You can't actually talk to them with conversation choices and so on. I hear the factions arn't even "physically" in the game as proper NPCs. It was nice in the original game to be able to throw objects and use a pole to push button to escape a prison cell after the goblins threw you into one but the main focus wasn't on gimmicky physics puzzles like this one is. In the originals I actually felt like being in a dungeon but not in this one. More developer legends to fall from grace. Richard Garriott, Starr Long (with their Shroud of the Avatar abomination) and Peter Molyneux already did before. I wonder how much Warren Spector really was involved in the actual development as he was listed as "creative consultant". That's the only possible saving grace for him. Better to play the old games again, even though they were not perfect. Like Ultima 7 combat system sucks with your party members running off, chasing after enemies. PS: Just saw the original Kickstarter video with prototype gameplay stating "the final game will look MUCH better". Guess what? The prototype is looking far more interesting. Damn, now I want to play this early prototype...
it look like game get kicked to sell with full of bugs and most of its still unfinished. that why many people gone mad about it. and yeah it seem its developer already runaway....rip.
Made by a legend of game design...it looks pretty unique...dont know how much meat it got on its bones though. Ok what i read is pretty BAD....i mean really really bad. Painfully bad.
