Every time I keep trying to post a response to Dragonstrike, down below & even replying to my recent post just now, I keep getting message: " Hold on, this is waiting to be approved by IGG-GAMES.COM. " And then post gets deleted, 4-5 times in a row now.... Not doing that on any other recent postings Im doing here. WHY...
It's a false positive, if it were to be a virus it would just be a bitcoin miner. Which isn't going to cause any type of damage. I would understand why they do this though they are providing this for free to us. I'm not really worried about certain programs loading 1-2 seconds slower, their just using an unnoticeable amount of your processing power.
CAN VERIFY, - MAIN GAME & UPDATE v1.42 ARE WORKING. Despite the comments to the contrary below. At first I thought I knew exactly what they were referring to, as sadly, I have too, seen many games here lately that have incompatibility issues with their respective update patches. Thought Id give it a try anyway, just to see... Glad I did. Idk if below users were referring to the forementioned issue here; or, what I encountered, with the seemingly freezing up of the extract process on the update. During the extraction & install process of the update, there were NO incompatibility issues as I was worried about. IT DID, however hang & seemingly freeze up for appx 10-15 mins during the process, BUT this is sometimes normal. Just make sure to install update to exact same location as main game folder & check auto install codex & then go do something else for 10-20 mins. IT WILL eventually finish installing.
Wait so what do I gotta do for the game to run? I just extracted files and launched the exe. file... it seems to run but Its like its stuck on 99% on loading screen
Been a while now so dont recall exactly, but dont remember having any issues, after the initially long install time. Have you tried the standard TS stuff yet? Running in Admin mode, making sure firewall / anti virus arent blocking, etc.

I just figured it out just do the following: 1)Download and install base game v1.2 from the torrent site 2)Download and install the 2 updates above IN ORDER And bam! It worked

It's because thoses update files is Codex release are requering "Thief.Simulator.v1.2-CODEX" base game and current IGN base game is a GOG version "setup_thief_sim_1.2.1_(64bit)_(31767)" So you can't update this, no fix out of get "Thief.Simulator.v1.2-CODEX" base game files.

1)download and install the game 2)open the update (start with 1.022) then open the setup based on your system (32-64 bit) most likely 64 bit if you have a new pc 3)check the box in the installer "copy components in directory installer" something like that (make sure the destination is where the game is installed) 4) click on install and wait for it to finish 5) do the same thing for the rest of the updates :)
Getting ISdone error while installing 1.027. Updating though the order of updates (1.022 --> 1.027). Also copied codex before installing the other update as well as not copying the codex before updating to the other version (tried both). Also tried deactivating my antivirus as well. Nothing worked. you need to install 1.022 first. start from the top of the list and install them one at a time. its a problem with the way that the game updates (creates new files and then changing them.)

Well, I use a elementary freya IO operating system (developed upon Debian Ubuntu Linux)and runnig pretty fine. Sure than I run this game in WINE "emulator" also met like POL (PlayOnLinux) and quite good game.

That´s not the problem... with the border or broderless. i can ony play at 640 480 but i cant read any letter's, too blurred.. other resolution's display as black white or blinking. window mode or fullscreen still the same. when is black i can see letter's and minimap, but everyting else is not displaying and if i hit "Esc" or "i" goes full Black no letter's, if i do"Alt+Tab" goes full white or start shoing everything but blinking into black. its weird.

For those Guys who have the same error like me ( ISdone.dll error) try this:
Winkey+ R -> msconfig
go to start -> safety boot , select minimal
restart 4now you are in safety mode, now you can install all the updates in a row (1. up1.022 ; 2. up 1.027 and so on) without an error.
go in saftetymode again to msconfig like in step 1 and unselect saftey boot and select normal systemstart. Now in your next restart you computer will boot normal, so dont forget to change it. It worked for hope it will help you guys too.

The way that I solved this because I kept having this problem (sorry for late response) is that you have to download the first update first. If you try to install the second update (1.027), it's scanning for the files that the first update gives you.
Small problem with Update 1.027 I did install and uninstall and reinstall 2 times already.When i get into the game it does show the game version being 1.027
this game is crap. everything is broken. stolen items dissapear from the trunk, people suddenly spawn infront of doors and call the cops and at night there are more people on the street, than there are people during day time where I live.... I am happy I stole this game myself and I can happily delete it again
